dsh 216 review
I purchased my first pair of dsh 216's back in march of '10 and my second pair around June. There are great speakers in my opinion. The clarity is well defined and able to be heard at almost all volumes.
I currently have this running of an r300 Rockford Fosgate prime amp. I am looking to upgrade to an MB Quart Q series amp (if any of you have any feedback about this amp please let me know) and the PVI 216's. But all in all these speakers are great.. my only issue and the reason I am considering an upgrade is that they are only putting 50 watts RMS on each channel, so when my w6v2 kicks into gear, these will somewhat distort at high volumes. Not too bad though i'm just anal about sound. But overall a great product for the price if you have everything running right, including the dect... (I am running the new alpine cda 117).
Pros: Great quality sound for the money.. all instruments and vocals are heard with great clarity. If your an entry level car audio person, choose these you won't be disappointed.
Cons: Will distort a little at very high volumes, not bad though
-If anyone has feedback on the pvi's, rsi's, or the mb quart q amp let me know. I have a jl audio w6v2 and want to know what would work best with this. Thanks

loud,crisp, and clear
These are loud and crisp. I was a little skeptical about the mids when I opened the box and found out that the baskets were made of polymer, but still seem to be quality built. I bought 2 sets for my 08 Avalon and have the back set to -3DB on the tweets to keep a better sound stage in the front; the adjustable crossover is nice. Good quality and not power hungry; have all 4 doors hooked to an old Soundstream Reference 200 and the gain is only turned 1/10 the way up and is plenty loud. I probably could have ran these off the factory deck but planned on running the amp from the start. The front doors alone drowned out the Kicker L7 10" I was running with 600 watts going to it. I have since upgraded sub to a SQL 12" and the system sounds balanced.
Only con is that they do not come with wire like some other comps in this price point, not a biggie really.

Hot Tweets
First the good. the mid bass drivers are great. Very smooth, wide dynamic levels, good punch for their size, natural sounding, impressive. Then there are the tweeters. They were so hot in the -3 db setting, I had my poor installer take the door panels back off and move them to the -6, then i still had to turn them way down from the stereo to get them to balance. No, I'm not a dog. I found them harsh and unmusical, even painful. Everybody else seems to love them though, so take my experience with a grain of salt. Happy listening.

MB Quart are GREAT!!!
I got two pairs of these for all four doors in my 2008 Titan. I have an Infinity 4 channel amp powering them. These are some of the best component speakers I have ever heard. The mid woofer really throws the sound and the tweeters really fill the space. I have the tweeters in the factory location in the dash and sitting in the drivers seat you can hear both of them in full stereo.
Very clear sound and great highs without being to harsh. Hard to believe you can get a good quality product for so little money this day and age.

Great Speakers
I installed these speakers in my '06 350Z and they are a perfect fit and sound excellent. The tweeters fit perfectly in the stock tweeter location and there is no problem with fitment for the speakers in the door.

High quality
I had a pair of these speaker installed in my car, obviously the sound is very clear, but at high volume they can blow up, this speaker only work to medium volume.
