Good Highs
I just installed these speakers into my 96 Grand Prix and the sound these put out are awesome. These speakers put out great highs and the lows aren't all that bad either from being powered from my factory cd player. Personally, I think these speakers should be amplified to reach their full potential.

Excellent
I had four of these speaker installed in my car with a JL G4500, the sound is very clear, and if you are looking for excellent quality these are for you. At high volume (with my amplifier) they never distort.
I hope I've been helpful.

Not worth the trouble
I just bought these along with the DSH216 6.5" component speakers. The components are awesome. The sound is very full and with a range of 40hz to 32k you hear just about everything. Coupled with a sub, it's very full. However, I installed these in the rear of my 01 Xterra and all they do is distort. Fortunately I bought a 4 channel amp and was able to use them for just the tweeters. I am now considering pulling them, buying another set of components and an adapter that converts a 6x9 hole to a 6.5" hole, drill for the tweeter and just install those back there. Do not buy this MB Quart product. You will regret it...Maxxsonic's MB Quart is NOT MB Quart anymore.

Not soo great
I would not get these unless you enjoy low level sound. The higher you go the more distorted they get. If you want something nice go up to the next level. Kappa and Boston Acoustics. I went with the kappa!!
