Great, crisp sound!

I bought these as replacement speakers for my 2008 Jeep Compass. They fit nice and snug in the speaker cavity & required only a wire modification from the factory plug. Great sound! The frequency range posted on the specifications definitely reflects the sound coming through...very high and crisp tweeter definition. Good tight bass and mid-range sound as well. I listen to everything from Bluegrass to Jazz, from Rock to Andres Segovia. These speakers deliver a nice full volume of sound for just about any genre of music. I would put these up against a set of Boston, Polk, JBL, or Rockford 6x9 speakers anytime. Those are great brands (own 2 of them in other cars) and these MB Quarts match them every step of the way, but with more of a high frequency bite. Only thing I determined afterwards was that these are not made in Germany, but by a domestic company from Illinois USA, called MaxxSonics. Don't think it makes a difference....but they don't tell you upfront until you read the small print on the box and manual.

These speakers are ok

Out of the box the speakers sound a bit hollow and require some EQ to get them to sound more natural. The mid-bass is not very strong but im only giving them 20 watts via 4 channel. Overall they were decent speakers but i would recommend the Discus Series Speakers DKH-169 over these..
