Good but not that great

I tried to use this with a LOC and the over all outcome was a little less then desired. Clean sound but i found it difficult to tune.

Keep in mind i was using stock headunit and LOC so..... Overall combo was not so good.

Three way active and 6 months later still going strong

Unbelieveable value in a full range class D design that's still pumping out music just as hard and loud as the day i installed it, 75 watt x 4 @ 4 ohms for the main channels which is 1 pair of Vifa 100 watt silk dome tweeters and 1 pair of CDT Audio 60 Watt 5.25" midrange drivers, channel 5 runs a pair of 12's in 2 ohm @ 500 watts mono, kickass amplifier that you can't go wrong with, especially if you are planning to go full active and eliminate the passive crossovers..

Nothing to be mad about for $200

Does everything you'd want it to do. Mine is mounted in a pretty non-ideal location for cooling and it still doesn't trip the protection circuit when pushed. For the price I paid for a brand new amp, I couldn't have asked for more.

Nice but overrated amp

I've had this amp for a week and wanted to give my sub time to break in (Phoenix Gold 10" SL). I used an rms meter & clamp (Fluke) to check the output of the sub channel on a few test tones. The sub amp did ~190 watts rms @ 2 ohms. Channels 1-4 was pushing ~38 watts rms @ 4 ohms. I was not pushing the amp to the max because I wanted a good clean signal and sound. My Phoenix Gold amp is clearly louder and is rated at 300 watts rms. That being said, the sound is very clean. The x-overs, gains, and Hz are not as accurate as other amps, but they work if you take your time and use your ear. The amp itself looks so much better in person than the pictures on Sonic. It's a little bigger and heavier than one would expect from such a budget amp. The amp has been running cool under the passenger seat of my Titan. Everything is clearly labeled and unless you are new to car audio, you can plug and play this amp if you are replacing another one.
I didn't expect this amp to really do the rated power at $200, but it is overrated, I can't give it 5 stars because of that, but it's been a nice amp for a low power budget system. It is a fine amp as long as you know what you are getting.

Great output on a budget!!!

I purchased this ampilifer because I wanted to simplify and tone down my previous install. I replaced a Kicker 400.4 amp and two Kicker 250.1 Mono Block amps with just this one and I am amazed at the results. It performs just as well as my previous setup and with some extra tweaking, I'm sure it can surpass it. I wasn't looking for a competition level setup, so this worked out great for me. The price just made the purchase that much sweeter. Definitely worth every penny.

Top shelf

MB Quart Onyx OA1100.5 Amplifier, absolutely love it. It had been 7 years since my last system build and high quality was not inexpensive back then, today there is lot's of competition and you can find affordable high quality if you look closely, MB Quart has been synonymous with high quality as far back as i can remember and that's longer than i care to share with you. Most people choose a 5-channel amplifier because they want both front and rear fill plus the subwoofer but i have no use for rear fill, channels 1 and 2 drive a pair of 2-way components, channels 3 and 4 run a pair of dedicated tweeters to create soundstage and channel 5 sends 500W rms to a pair of 12" subs wired for 2 ohm mono in a sealed enclosure. MB Quart helped to transform my Ford E150 into a concert hall, with MB Quart you don't need to buy reference grade equipment to get reference grade sound and knowing how good their "low-end" amplifier sounds i can't even begin to imagine what their Reference class amplifier sounds like, perhaps one day in the near future i will discover for myself but in the meantime i am thoroughly enjoying my Onyx class Amplifier and have not had one single problem, i won't hesitate to use MB Quart to please my very discerning ears....

Decent Value

Installed this on my boat driving 4 speakers and a sub at 2 ohms. This replaced a HiFonics 1100 watt amp that recently blew up and short circuited which I also purchased on Sonic Electronix. Really wish that hadn't happened! Not quite the power output as the HiFonics, but after an hour or so of adjusting the crossovers and hi-low bandwidth and sub output adjustments, it sounds pretty decent for the price for a 5 channel amp. I would recommend for the price.
