Great sound on the water!!!

Bought two pairs of these to replace the dull sounds coming from my boat. Got a great deal and was pleasantly surprised by the great sounds the produce. They definitely are alot louder and alot cleaner than the kenwood coaxial speakers they replaced. Would definitely recommend them to anyone. Great lake tunes!!!

Mb quart components

great sound

I got them for the back doors on my TUNDRA DC. Speakers put out good mids and highs. The bass is ok, you will need to power them with an amp. Sound is so much better than stock speakers.

Perform as advertised.

Bought these about 6 months ago now to replace the blown speakers that were in my car when I purchased it. Installed everything myself, whhich was reletively simple. They're a definite improvement on what I previously had in there. I would recommend these as they provide a wide range of crystal clear sound. I'm sure having a sub would add to that effect, but for me it was not necessary.

Sounds Good in My Cube

I couldn't find any reviews on this product but I purchased them anyway because MB Quarts were awesome when I was in high school. I understand another company bought MB Quart and they are now supposed to be garbage. The people saying this have never owned this product and should not voice their opinions. After a break-in period they are jamming in my Cube. Tweeters are extremely loud and clear and bass is perfect.

real good speakers

I just changed my hifonics zxi 6.5c components to the onx 216s and I am very surprised. I know that the hifonics are very loud and crisp. That is why I bought them but I decided that I want to have better sound quality so it's the quarts, even if they are not as loud. I am happy to say that they are way better as far as sound quality goes and also surprised that they were louder than the Hifonics. Wow. I have run mb quarts in the past when they were made in Germany but this is my first set since they are made by maxsonics. They still have that quality sound that they were famous for. I am very happy with this product and will buy more mb quarts in the future.

pretty good

Bought these to replace my stock speakers in my 2004 Chevy Silverado. A little disapointed in the bass that these things produce. Didn't notice a huge difference going from stock to these, but the difference is there. If you have the money, I would put an amp to these and id bet they would shine. I only have 22 Watts going to them through my Pioneer DVD player and they have a good solid clean sound. just not a whole lot of bass. Good all around speakers.

Good midbass

Excellent product. I installed these on a 2004 Maxima with bracket adapters on the front door with boomats from C**********. I cut out some holes on the boomats to let speaker move and they sound great!! These are being powered by a discus mb quart amp and they handle the power easily. Hope this helps :)

OMG!

these things are AMAZING! top of the line quality, very durable and the sound is unheard of. you will be blown away by these. lows are well defined too. if you want great components without spending a million dollars buy these. and i promise you will fall in love.

These spaeakers are way to bright fore my taste,on some music thay sound like tin cans.

WAY Better Than Stock!

These Speakers sound awesome! I coupled mine with one of MB Quart's 2 Channel Amps and Audio control's Lci2.

Excellent speakers !!!

I currently own 2 pairs of these speakers for front and rear doors. Owned and installed myself since AUG 2010. Had for about 7 months now and these speakers are crisp clear, never fail, and can take a pounding of power. I have an external amp (Kicker ZX850.4) hooked up to them. Can't turn up higher than 15 without ears bleeding and subs pounding in the trunk.

Had these for about a year. Sound was just OK, with 60W rms kenwood amplifier, my cheaper rockford prime 6.5 coaxes sounded better and my passenger side just blew yesterday.

Easy to install and fit perfect in 05 Nissan frontier good tight bass.

ONX216

Just received the onx216 components in the mail. Haven't installed them yet so can't comment on the sound quality at this time, however, I will on what I do know of them.

Pros: Super fast shipping. Ordered the products on the 1st, new years day and got them on the 5th. Thank you Sonic Electronix for that. The speakers has a big magnet to them. The stamped metal basket feels durable and strong. The speakers and tweeters look great. Everything looks straight forward.

Cons: The plastic housing for crossover feels a little cheap, (just don't over tighten the screws). The instructions could be a little more detailed, such as for the crossover's -3 db, 0 db and -6 db. Instructions talked about speaker wires being included, I did not receive any in my box. Doesn't bother me. There was a small rubbery waxy thing that's kind of sticky packed with the speakers I have no clue what it is for. Oh well.

I only gave the overall and durability a 4 because I haven't quite heard them yet. At this point I would recommend people to Sonic Electronix. I know I will be ordering from them again.

Great Speakers!

My 1999 Dodge Durango has a descent infinity deck in it but the speakers had been blown over the years. These MB Quarts are great speakers and are very crisp. The bass is really impressive for midbass speakers. I am not using any amplifiers, only stock infinity deck and they really have kick. I would say if you had a descent stock system, these speakers would complete it.

Love mb quart amps but there speakers leave plenty to be desired they blew in a month and the tweeters started to crack

Extremely harsh

I didn't like these one bit. The tweeter, at -6dB is beyond unmusical (as another reviewer put it for the regular version of these speakers). I was also unimpressed with the cheap seeming crossover build, the top just pops on and off. I wasn't expecting too much but it seems like a couple of screws would've been spared. The speakers looked and felt good, lacking on the midbass but I did have some amazing mid-bass producing speakers in before these. The tweeters as you can imagine are extremely delicate, they definitely need a grille over them. I damaged one so I lost out on a return.

Awesome sound at an awesome price

Installed this MB Quart ONX216 component system into my 2005 Mazda 6 GT. Already having the Bose package stereo in my car I was skeptical if these speakers would be a major upgrade. After listening to them for several days with all different types of music ROCK, RAP, ALTERNATIVE, CLASSICAL, POP, ETC. All I can say is WOW!!! The 6.5" driver puts out so much bass (Xmax heaven LOL) that my doors rattle. The mid bass is tight, accurate and brings a punch I haven't heard in many of my other high end name brand speakers. The tweeters absolutely shine. The widesphere design images so nicely in my car even sitting in the back seat these tweeters sound amazing. While another reviewer made a comment to the crossover being built cheaply my comment is GIVE ME A BREAK. They are sturdy and do their job correctly/accurately. These tweeter sound great even at their bottom end frequency. For all the audiophiles out there the tweater and driver blend beautifully together and I give the engineers at MB Quart credit for pairing these woofer/tweeters together as they compliment one another well. I set the crossover at 0db and if anything have turned the treble up +1 from the head unit to get more highs they sound so fantastic. This is one excellent buy for anyone wanting to upgrade their sound without breaking the bank. My review for this unit is also using the stock Bose head unit and amp. I will be installing my MB Quart ONYX 4 channel 60 watts per channel at 4ohms amp this weekend and will be back with another review but from what I'm hearing now the MB Quart amp can only make it sound better. I recommend everyone to buy these before the price goes up because I would pay twice as much if needed for this product!!!

Excellent speaker value for $100!

Bought these as part of a complete system rehab for my 2006 Mini Cooper S with the factory Harmon Kardon optional system.
Matched up with a new Alpine cde-103bt head unit I also bought from Sonic. Shipping was quick, everything was packaged well and I had everything I needed for install!
With a 50wx4 amp powering the system these speakers with the new head unit blows the factory optional stereo out of the water!
I needed to make a 3/4" spacer ring from MDF and I put the crossovers in the doors, they are small enough to fit anywhere honestly. The new tweeters were able to be installed with rings that came with them epoxied behind the factory tweeter location, other than the head unit the stereo appears entirely stock.

Excellent for the money

Installed 2 sets of these in my 2008 GMC. I am powering them with a kicke IX 500.4 and they blow the factory Bose out of the water. I run the tweeters at -3db and they blend nicely with the woofers. It may take a week or two for them to break in, but they are worth the wait. When properly installed and allowed time to break in they are very well defined. I have been running these for 8 months now.
