First pair of front speakers.

These speakers(front) and a pair of 6-1/2" JBL P662s (rear) speakers are powered by my Eclipse EA4200. At 70w per speaker, these MB Quart's are exceptionally loud and clear. Although I expected more mid-bass from these speakers; when compared to my rear speakers, the JBL speakers has more mid-bass and more of a warm sound, I am not disappointing with the purchase of these speakers; they perform well at high volumes and have detailed clarity, and when accompanied with a sub-woofer these speakers really stand out.

MBs

I am powering these with a MB Quart Discus amp, 14 gauge speaker wire, baffled (foam behind them). They were cheaper on here than from a friend that is a MB Quart rep that can get me great deals (he makes no profit selling to me). The 6x9 gives it a surface area = to 10in diameter circular speaker, giving them nice bass. They get as loud as you want without distorting. Tweeters have nice imaging. I would recommend these if they fit in your car.

The good, the slightly bad, and....no ugly. MB Quart PVI-269

First off, I installed 2 sets of these speakers in my '03 F150 Crew Cab. The grilles for the mids/tweets are excellent, look and quality. I am running a Audison amp which really brings out the clarity in these speakers, awesome mid punch (after insulating my door panels) clear all through the volume range, slight distortion at really low hertz but thats all amp settings which I have not had time to tweak yet. On the slight downside the mids barely keep up with the tweeters, only noticed this on a few songs I listen to but it is there, because the tweets are Extremely sensitive and they hit high, very high and personally I had to set the crossovers on the lowest setting for the tweets and make minor adjustments to the amp, its by no means horrible or gonna hurt your head. On the plus side they are very clear also, sounds awesome when I am listening to some CCR.

In closing I would highly recommend these speakers, definitley worth the price, and sound light years ahead of my stock stereo.

PVI269 in Toyota Venza

I have these installed in my Toyota Venza (front speakers) with the tweeters next to 3.5 midrange Dayton speakers on the dash panel. Even with the midrange balancing the sound, tweeter is still overpowering the other speakers. I will try building my own crossover with mylar condensers and cross them at 6 or 7k hz...I think they are now at 2.9k and they sound aggressive. Don't take me wrong, they are great speakers with a big potential..especially the super efficient tweeters...the crossover is just not matched adequately...at least ..to my taste!
I have always built my own speaker/crossovers, so I'm picky! (my ears are!)

Not overly impressed

Quality of the product definitely wasn't up to what MB QUART has stood for in the past. Would not buy again.
