I bought this because it was one of the lowest price 4 gauge kits that stated it had copper power cables. Specifically the item description says 'Made from 100% oxygen-free copper for a pure uninterrupted transfer of power'. That is technically not a lie, but definitely misleading. Also, I would never put a 1000W amplifier on this.

So here are the details and why you should avoid this one:
The gauge of the actual wire is probably less than 8 gauge.
The 17' power wire is ALUMINUM. The 3' ground wire IS copper, however it is barely an 8 gauge wire. This is I guess what gives them the legal grounds to make that statement about copper. The speaker wires are also trash. It claims 12 gauge. I'd put it closer to 22 gauge. They are pathetic and the amount of rubber around them is astounding. I wish I could post pictures of this.

The ONE redeeming quality: The RCA cables are of a pretty decent build. Twisted pair with grounding wire, But you probably didn't look to buy this kit because it had a decent RCA cable, you wanted something that would let you power that amp!
