Rediculous Bass

First off i must say this sub by far blows everything i have had away! Ive had 2 alpine r 15s- great sound quality , jl audio 13w7=couldnt handle the power and bottomed out to easy, 15w3s, 2 mtx ts7515, Kicker L7 15s-went up in smoke, Mtx ts8512 squares were really great, all in ported enclosures. My mtx 9515 D4 is in the mtx ported enclosure that it came in from the factory hooked up to a Powerbass XA3000-D. Amp is rated at 1000-4, 2000-2, & 3000 at 1 ohm. i have mine running at 2 ohm a little over 2000 watts because of my voltage. Have a stinger sp2150 under the hood and in the back, and also a 300 amp alternator in a ford escape. It is loud. haven't had it metered but has to be close to or at 150 dbs U can literally feel the air blowing pass ur ears and ur hair. i never could make up my mind on what subwoofer i really wanted because all subs r different! Dont let people tell u this sub isnt nothing. If the sub is not banging its not hooked up right Guaranteed! ive been in car audio for about 15 yrs. The jl 13w7 i had was phenominal but couldnt handle big power u could tell where it struggled at when listening hard- but A1 sound quality. As far as sound Quality the Jl w7 just BARELY beats the mtx 9500. Ive been in car audio for since 1999 and i will look no where else. I will add another soon, then will do some competing! Just know what ur doing, a bad wire job, not enough battery, and not enough alternator, = bad sound. Know ur s**t before u start talking it!

T 9500

I have a MTX T9515-44 powered buy a MTX TE801D in a Cadillac DTS. This sub is like a cannon in the trunk. With a VD of 134.9 this sub moves some mad air. The only other sub in this class with a higher VD is the JL 13W7 with a VD of 135.3. Do you really think .4 VD is worth another $300.00 bucks. Your money. I put mine on the MTX. This sub can take anything you can throw at it, even the wall socket.. MTX old school, new rules. If you want bass, get one of these. The T9515-44 is the baddest thing out there.

Rattle your car 2 pieces

If you want the person in the car next to you to be completly annoyed then this is the subwoofer for you.I have mine ruuning on a mtx ta81001.You can tell the sub wants more power. That is the only thing I would be car full about, make sure you have plenty of amp and alt power.

the JL killer

this is the best sub out there for this price.
i have hurd this up against a 13" JLw7 and this mtx smoked it. the JL actaly cought fire and the mtx was still going with more power then the JL and the mtx hit 5 times harder. dont get me rong the JLw7 is a bad ass sub but overall the mtx is the best

The T9515-44

I have one of these two ton monsters in factory spec. 2 cubic foot sealed box stuffed in the back of a Cadillac DTS. It's powered by a MTX TE801D. When the power goes on this thing goes BOOM!!! It can take anything you can throw at it, even the wall socket. Plays low and hard. If you want a sub that can pump out the lows, This 15" cannon is the ticket. MTX rocks the block.

Get hit!

I have this installed in a crappy box I made out of 1" pinewood, and it still sounds great! It shakes everything in my car, especially my trunk :(

Each voice coil pos/neg has 1 push terminal and 2 set screw terminals so it's easy to wire it series or parallel. The surround is very tall and durable. The magnet is huge, and makes it insanely heavy! The whole thing just looks really awesome, especially the heat vents and magnet boot. It hits low notes very loud, but you'll want at least 1 10" sub with a crossover to go with this if you want to get a full range of bass. This sub doesn't hit higher bass notes very efficiently. I'll give it a 3 on "Ease of Use" cuz it's so heavy, even though that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Will Soon OWN, literally and figuratively

I dont yet own this sub, so Im not making any statements about its performance, but I have looked into its abilities and have come to the conclusion that this sub, with the exception of the 13"W7, can and will own any other 12 or 15" woofer in this price range. 1000+rms, of real continous bass, and i already have a 81001 mtx mono waiting for it, should hit good, so if your thinking about getting a sub, get this ONE.

Insane sub!

One of the best subs for the money! I understand there are cheaper subs out there that are about as loud as this like sq hdc3, skar vxf/zvx, heard them all and this 9500 KILLS them in sound quality! Super crystal clear bass that doesn’t sound distorted compared to a lot of subs out there, I was blown away from the clarity of this sub! Also 1000 watts is not even close to enough to push this thing to its potential you need atleast 2000-2500 rms and itll take it like a champ as long as its clean power. Most bassheads will tell you this is a waste of money because its not sundown or dc audio or that it costs $360, but this has better sound quality than most of the subs out there that are in its power class! I promise you this is one of if not the cleanest sounding subs out there that can take atleast 2000 rms no problem! Definitely worth $360! And also talk about the efficiency, this thing is not power hungry and will still impress you on only 600-700 watts, but full potential youll need minimal of 2000. This sub is also very heavy as well, about 58-60 lbs. Hands down best sub Ive ever had!

Nothing Short Of Insanity

Wow. This crazy subwoofer is nothing but pure ear popping , car flexing POWER and quality. These subs are so amazing ,the first sub I ever heard was an MTX 9500 12 and I was blown away it was extremely loud and I've since heard MANY systems , and yes all sound good and have there pros and cons for the cars they are in . But after 3 years I landed right back with the 9500. This thing is just the best quality, hardest hitting , most efficient (takes very little power and electrical upgrades to HIT just as loud or louder then other much higher wattage systems ) LOUDEST and cleanest best quality sub i have ever found . There are other great subs yes , like the Orion HCCA for example. But for the money and power this woofer takes , it is just a God . I love my 9500 15 and I wouldn't get rid of it for anything else . She is a beauty but a HEAVY one . Good lord just SOLID metal and POWER. They WILL hear you coming with this bastard . Your Mirrors shake? More like start a global Earth quake . These things bumpppp. Make sure to put it in a good box but if you can't get it in a big enough box don't worry to much because I have heard these in tiny mustang convertible boxes and they still SLAMMMM like shake the engine out of the car type of slam. Complete 5 stars EASY on everything, but ease of use? HA! Not really . Be careful with this thing it is very heavy and if your not smart you could hurt yourself or damage something. 60 some pounds . Hello sound quality, good bye hearing . Happy Bumping !

Boom!

Theese subs are the BUISNESS! Power hungry monsters.went from p3,to audiopipe (weakness),to kicker cvx (good sub),to the mtx.9500- easily the best by far.I think that they are underrated though.

Jus wow

Definitely would recommend this sub to any and everybody. Got only one of these in my 300s. Hooked up to 1200/1v3. Jus ridiculous how loud this is. N still not broken in all the way. Sun roof flex n all. Everything shakes.

Impressive looks and feel

Just installed yesterday. Seems like a really stout sub. Super heavy and seems like it's a beast. I'm hoping once it's broke in I can see that flex. Feeding it 750rms in a box built to spec. Will review again in a month but after doing my research this sub i went with this sub over 3 other top contenders. Hopefully I made the right choice.

MTX Audio 2000 Watt 15" Superwoofer T9515-44

I would recommend the MTX 9500 at this price, but not at its original price of $799. But $379 for this much sub, is a steal. And yes it will hit just as hard as a 13w7, but it’s supposed to it’s a sub built for spl,but it will never match the sound quality or just raw power of the 13w7. I have owned both, and if I was going for all out spl, then yes I would take the 15” mtx, but if you want one of the best sq subs ever built then the JL is the better option. And don’t get me wrong the MTX sounds great it just lacks a warmth the JL has but it makes up for it in raw power basically all comes down to what you like best.

It puts the lotion in the basket

It goes badda bing badda BOOM. Bassed On positive reviews a nice discount and price I gave it a go. Impressive packaging and warning labels. Nice wiring it to 2 ohms getting 2400 watts to it. I was running Alpine R 15 and 12 now 2 15’s in one box on separate amps. By itself it’s a lovely sub. May get the nod over the Alpine but it’s on a bigger amp. Still it’s big really big. Not sloppy. To parellel coils I had to make a wire harness inside the box. The terminals are nice but no jumpers like Alpine and the terminals only take one wire of the size I was using. Great sub maybe not as common as type R. Would recommend with a big amp with lots of power. I changed to a higher output alternator added a second battery and 3 sets of capacitors. It goes crazy. Comments are it has a lot of bass without cranking the system but it cranks too. I can run 3 Subs at once but to save battery I will run just this one. 15 is nice. Two 15 are nice too at it’s price affordable

Good but there are Better options for the price!

I've owned the 12in Version of This subwoofer. That was a beast for the money. Under $400 gets you a loud ground pounder. That also sounds really good. Now for the 15in version in a box built to spec (ported or sealed) this woofer will be loudish. Compared to your Alpine type R, Rockford fosgate P3. JL audio w3 This 9500 will blow them off the road. With its loudness and ground pounding abilities. It will also sound clearer then they but what do you expect it's double the price. Now when comparing this to a SUNDOWN X15 or DC audio level 4 15 or a psi platform 2 "high specs" there is no comparison. Those woofer make the 9500 look like a $99 15. I'm not joking. (Keep in mind this is with the manufacturers suggested box specs) the 9500 is just not worth the $400 price tag maybe 5-6 years ago. But since subwoofer technology has come a long way Since then. It's just not a good value for dollar
These days. Your money it's better spent else were. if you want loud bass and a good sound quality go with a new MTX 95 series or SN x15,DC audio level 4, psi platform 2. Those woofer are about 4-6db louder in the right box.the durability of This woofer is great though my old 12in 9500 still works to this day and it's 3 years old. It's even still stiff. Ohh and this is not a 75lb woofer it's about 47lbs alone on the scale.
