This is the first dual voice coil sub I have owned. I installed this sub in a 10" truck box in a 2007 Toyota 4runner Limited. I picked this because i didnt want it to take up a lot of room in the back. I pointed the sub/box back towards the liftgate. I took some time to get the sound just right because this is the first time self install.Mtx makes a great product! My first system I had back in the day was Mtx. Its amazing how much stuff has improved since then! Would recomend to someone with right amplifier for a good sounding set up
