spend an extra $60 and get the new ones
I just bought the new 08 model of the M3 and let me fill you on on a secret, this things pound! i have never heard a system of this quality in my life. I have friends with memphis PRs, xtant 12s, alpine type Rs, sony xplods, and kicker CVX and CVRs and the M3s make them sound like nothing. The sound quality is great and the bass is incredible. My head unit goes to 50 volume and 20 is great daily driver, but once you hit 25 they hit harder than heck. I haven't been able to go past 25 yet because i have not yet purchased a capacitor, which i will definitely order from sonic. Sonic, delivers great products at great prices. I have purchased Dynamat kits, head units, and an amp from them and so far so great so if ur gonna buy something for your car, get it from SoNiC

Memphis M3
Great sound quality coming from this subwoofer. Hits good bass notes from low to high. I ran two of these in a ported box hooked up to a Hifonics 750 watt wired a 1 ohm. My biggest complaint is that these subs dont get loud enough. Compared to my old Kicker CVXs, these subs arent near as loud.

unimpressed
I was unimpressed with the performance of this sub. I had it in a sealed enclosure running about 450w rms to it (Fosgate amp) and lets just say i was underwhelmed. Off the same amp I ran a Pioneer Premier (also dvc, also 400w rms, also in a sealed box) and the premier not only sounded much cleaner, but hit quite a bit harder...It seemed as if the Pioneer even outperformed it on lower note extension, which i wasn't expecting...I have liked many Memphis products so far, the PR series are as good as it gets for entry level, but i just cant recommend the m3 series, especially in this price range..many subs in this range vastly out perform this sub, and even a few in a cheaper range (kicker cvr, aforementioned Premier etc)..

m3
Put the subs in a ported box. These aren't cheap subs. They need room to breath I hit a 147.5 w/ 2 of them your Pioneers can't even hit a 135 flat right box, and amp you won't think twice that these are one of the best woofers you ever bought mine are 8 years old on a mojo 2500.1 d amp way over powered they handle it all day everyday. They just won't quit. Another one of the best woofers I've owned.
