I have 3

I love these subs they are great. I recommend them because they have good quality sound and move a lot of air which makes a lot of bass. You do want to have them firing to the back of the car or down to the floor. The cons are they cant take allot of power (250w RMS) but still will rattle your eye balls out. I love these subs because for only $100 you get a great quality product.

I love em

I bought two of these bad boys and got them professionally installed in a black mustang sealed box. They are running off of a bridged 1200 watt Sony Xplod amp"yea from *** ****" and these things beat they actually change the position of my rear view bout 4 inches..they were $200..wish I would of bought em here but they go hard..the lows are amazing!

long term test

I have owned a single 12" Memphis Power Reference DVC for a while now. with my very limited space I started out with a cheap .7cube truck box and was not that impressed with this sub. I recently stepped up to a 1.9cube slot ported truck box that Memphis released for 2008 and OH MY LAWD this thing hits!the box goes nearly all the way across the back of the cab in my 78 Chevy C10. I am powering the sub with a JL Audio 250/1 amp and have never had a problem! in a ported box I am amazed by the sound this little bugger can put out! value wise this is unbeatable. if you want a low dollar system that HITS this is it!

memphis power referance

i have 2 12's in a dual ported box in my dakota extended cab... running on a jl 500/1 amp.. these things are no joke .. they pound.. great sub for the price .. only thing is mine now pop when turned up past 22. the wear out easy with an amp like that since it pushes more than they need . but if you get a 400 watt amp and a box like mine .. you will feel it..

Great for the Money

These were the first subs i've ever had. I am extremely pleased with my choice of memphis subs, and would recommend them to anyone who wants a well-rounded system. I have it hooked up through a 1000 watt amp. I've got 2 of them, in a ported box in the trunk of my lumina ltz.

The best

I have 2 of these in a ported box with a 2ch memphis 500 watt amp and I have the gain half way up and my bass all the way down because it drowns out my highs and mids. These things are amazing. They hit harder than my friends alpines and they hit very deep. These things have destroyed my rear view mirror and my trunk. The bass is mind blowing. I was looking for a sub that was more focused towards sound quality instead of spl and these did the trick. I don't care about being heard blocks away but if i want to I just crank this to like 30 and they bump HARD!!!!!!!!!!

Best sub for the best price!!!

Great Entry Level SUB

The following review is for a previous version (15-PR124D).

If you're looking for good entry level sub then this is it for you. I had this with a 300 watt amp and I was surprised with the output it had. would highly recommend this sub for someone's first system or someone who wants a small yet GOOD system.

very pleased

I had 2 of these in a 3.5 cu. ft. ported box running on a Memphis PR 500.1 in my Ford Ranger and EVERYONE heard me. my friends said they beat like 15s and tons of people wanted to buy it. then my dad said i had to get rid of it. i kept the amp and went to a smaller box and kicker cvr. I don't like it, its not very good at all, and i missed the PR's so bad i just went and bought 2 more and built the same box i had. I'm waiting to get it in now but i already know I'm gonna be heard Blocks away. I RECOMMEND THIS SUB TO ANYONE!! WITH THE RIGHT AMP AND BOX THIS THING WILL BEAT LONGER AND HARDER THAN ANYTHING COMPARABLE.
ITS GREAT!!!

memphis 15-pr124d

The following review is for a previous version (15-PR124D).

i installed a pair of these in my uncle's f150 for him. we put em in a sq. ported enclosure and were being powered by a Memphis Memphis 16-CD500 amp. they hit pretty hard for the price. i wouldnt recomend spending that much on an amp that only puts out 250 watts x 1 chan. @ 4 ohms though. but the speakers are definately worth the money.

loud

The following review is for a previous version (15-PR124D).

i used to have two of these in my car and they were very loud. the rating of 250watts RMS is very generous, i have a little over 300 goin to each sub and i didnt have any problems, and, lets put it this way, i like loud things and these were nothing short of it. i had them in a professionally tuned memphis ported box that i bought from my local dealer with the subs and they were much louder than a friend of mine who has them sealed with a nearly identical amp so be sure to port them if you like volume, but they did sound much cleaner sealed, its an opinonated decition i guess
these are deninatly worth the money, especially at this price, i paid 250 for a pair of them from the memphis dealer shop i have localy but they were still worth every penny

memphis PR124D

The following review is for a previous version (15-PR124D).

these subs are very good, my dad has 2 of these with a bridged 800 watt amp goin to them, and they seem to take it very well, they dont get hot or anything! they could handle more then what there getting. they are very underrated, they should be like 800 rms a piece! like i said, these subs are very great! had them in a 96 tahoe, and it shook everything for such a big area in a ported box, never had a problem with them. i HIGHLY recommend them!

Memphis PR's are awesome!!!!

The following review is for a previous version (15-PR124D).

Got 2 of these to replace my dead Clifs and I must say just by looking at these subs you can tell their quality. Got them hooked up to a US amps 4085 (270rms x 2 @ 4 ohms) and the the things pound, me and my friend (who has two jl W3v2's hooked up to a pheonic gold xeon amp) competed and my system blew his away! mine is louder and cleaner. O also I only have my gain set at 1/4! These are clear subs that pound, well worth the money!

JL Audio W0 Has Nothing On This Subwoofer!

The following review is for a previous version (15-PR124D).

About 5 months ago I bought 2 of these from a local audio shop to be powered by a Memphis 16-PRD500.1 ( http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3006.html ). I wired them in parallel (1 0hm) for optimal performance and the sound quality is amazing, not to mention they hit hard, these subwoofers kill the competition (Such subwoofers as the JL Audio W0) rated at about the same power. Great subwoofers for a great price!
I highly* recommend buying 2 of these in addition to a Memphis 16-PRD500.1 if your looking for a good subwoofer/amplifier package!

PR = value

The following review is for a previous version (15-PR124D).

I had some buddies who had some of these and i've ran their 15" version for awhile, Great value, very durable, My Pr series sub ran for a hair under 2 months and blew a voice coil, with a CV 15" on the same settings as the memphis it blew in 3 days, the memphis was 250 rms the CV was 300 rms, Memphis is all about quality, durability, and sound, these subs POUND with a good mono amp. very good buy for the money.

best bang for your buck

The following review is for a previous version (15-PR124D).

My buddy has a set of these in his jimmy. He has them running off of a memphis street edge 600.1 amp. They are really nice subs for what you'd pay for them. The sq was good as compared to that of a JL wo or something im similar competition group. If your short on the cash and want some thump then these are a good investment

Not too bad.

The following review is for a previous version (15-PR124D).

I've seen two of these subs in action and it wasn't that impressive. They were also hooked up to a Memphis amp. They do produce very clean bass, but they don't hit very hard. I used to have 2 10" Kicker CompVRs that I thought could get louder and knock harder. It's a pretty good price for what your getting, but you could spend a couple more dollars and get something nicer, like some Kicker equipment or something.

On a budget?

The following review is for a previous version (15-PR124D).

I bought two of these subs and they have great sound for the consumer on a budget. Rich bass and excellent sound for its class. If I had to do it over I would buy these all over again.
