Good power, decent sound, good purchase!

I have this unit pushing 3 10" MTX in a sealed enclosure and it has an outstanding performance. It looks great, it delivers plenty of juice, sound quality is ok, and a great characteristic of this amp, is that it doesn't overheat. It does draw some power from your battery thoug.... but it is nothing to dramatic. I recommend it.

Memphis 16-MCA300

i am a car audio guy, a moderator at www.ca****io.com (req is my username), and i bought from sonicelectronix. i was searching for a particular memphis amplifier to match my memphis big-belle. i do believe i paid too much for it (around $250 usd) but i could not find it anywhere else online. it arrived to me flawless, and i am running a pair of image dynamics IDQ-8 dual voice coil midwoofers in my door pods at 2 ohms per channel and i should be receiving around 150w to each speaker. i have driven several road trips over 500 miles and i have not had a single issue with the amplifier. it has a perfect finish and came in excellent condition. there really is nothing special about this amplifier other than it produces (roughly) rated power, and it has a smaller footprint for a class A\B amplifier, however it will get quite warm to the touch after a few hours of pushing it to its limits as i do very often. i like memphis products, i am more of a stickler on products and i don't often recommend people buy mainstream audio equipment, but i do recommend these amplifiers. one other thing i dislike is the angle of the amplifier wire terminals. they are at a downward angle and it is quite a pain to install them if they are in awkward locations. personally i like when amplifiers have connections on the long side of the amplifiers.
