under-rated power
I had this amp running at 2 ohms to get 500 watts rms , so I got 1 kicker 15" CVR 500rms/1000max and let me tell you what happened basically only for about two days that kicker lasted with this memphis amp........it was too much power for that kicker speaker that it basically broke!!!.
I am thinking about getting maybe an L5 because they handle 750 rms.
this tiny memphis amps puts more power than its rated and its "clean" power real power.

Awesome amp
This amp is awesome. I put it on a RE Audio Se12 and let me say this thing is under-rated. It puts out clean power and its very very very efficient. I will not buy any other amp even if I upgrade my sub, maybe just buy another mcd500 and strap them both. This thing is easily comparable to a 500/1 and its way cheaper. The power difference between the two are minor and probably wont be louder to the ear.

Memphis 16-MCD500
I set this up in a f-150 for my uncle. i hooked up 2x Memphis 15-PR124D to this amp and they hit pretty hard. i wouldn't recommend spending this much on an amp that only puts out 250 watts x 1 chan. @ 4 ohms...its ok but not worth the money..

good and cheap
I pushed 3 JL w3's with this amp at 4 ohm (250 Watts) but it sounded like a high end 800 watt amp great sound good looks and power is what this amp has to offer
