The 40 CR20 does not work with the 44-EC48. It is everything it is supposed to be, but the adapter uses a smaller diameter extension cable. Metra 40-CR20

The cable was the missing link in "hard wiring " an FM transmitter to the radio in my Dodge. The only disturbing thing was that the shipping cost was only 4 cents less than the price of the item, and it was shipped in an envelope!

Radio antenna adaptor cable

This was exactly what i needed to install my FM modulator. My 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan had an antenna cable that would not fit with, Audiovox FM modulator cable. Also, courtesy of the Chrysler/Daimler days the cable going into the radio was a European standard, so its not a common part in North America. The Metra 40-CR20 fixed everything.
