Metra 70-1771 radio wiring harness adapter
Do not attempt to install a radio without a harness adapter. With this type of adapter you can do all of your wiring on the bench (or the couch) and then just plug it into the car's original harness. Safe, easy and fast. The 70-1771 works in Ford Crown Vics that are PIs, which do not use the 24 pin harness used by standard Vics. The use of this harness will allow you to reinstall the original radio at a later date or if you need to reinstall if the new radio goes in for repairs. Nice tough plug
The plug was fairly tough to hold up to locking and unlocking it also had long enough wires so you can cut them to your needs also the wiring is real copper, not cheap bi-metal so soldering was easy
