Good product if right for application--aftermarket radio AND amp.

I bought it to bypass factory amplifier and maintain factory head unit, but it is designed to be used with aftermarket head unit AND amplifier. The title is a little deceiving and the instructions are marginal so I will try to clarify them.

This harness will supply power and grounds only to the aftermarket head unit and provide connection (at the oe amp connector) to the factory speaker wires that go through the tight door jamb connectors. These leads are supposed to hook to your amp outputs.

The problem with this is the factory wiring to the speakers is very small (20 ga.) and isn't really suited to aftermarket speakers. I switched terminals to oe radio connector to allow speaker level outputs from oe head unit into aftermarket amp and ran bigger speaker wiring--big pain and need for wiring schematic and patience.

Would have been easier to cut wires but wanted to leave factory harness intact. Worked though and factory head unit powers aftermarket amp and speakers quite nicely. If used with aftermarket head unit and amp you will need RCA cables to go from head unit output to amp input in addition to this harness. You could also hook the speaker leads in this harness to your aftermarket head unit speaker outputs and power your speakers directly with the head unit and no amplifier.
