Almost perfect

This made wiring a new stereo into my 2013 Mazda MX-5 Miata very simple and I did not have to cut any of the existing wires of my car. Just used butt connectors to connect from this harness to the new stereo and then plug into original vehicle harness. My only complaint is that this harness did not have the steering wheel control wires (signal + ground) needed to get the steering wheel controls to work. Luckily the harness had a few wires that I did not need nor would use (stock Amp etc.) so I pulled them out and relocated them to where I needed them. It worked beautifully. I am one happy customer.

Trouble free install...

This is my first rodeo on installing my own car radio - - and this wiring kit really saves me the headache. It's color coded - - all you have to do is match them up and that's it.

Save installation money

This adapter is very good, works perfectly with JVC KD-R620 wire harness, just match the colors and you are good to go. I used butt splice to connect both sides and finally cover them with electric tape.

P.S. the receiver audio has extra 3 wires you don't need to connect them if you don't have BT devise or amplifier.

Worked well but missing some wires

This cable harness worked well but it would have been perfect if it had come with a few extra wires with pins. If you are going to be installing a control box for the steering wheel controls you may want to order 2 of these so you don't have to cut into the factory wiring harness to get to the steering wheels control wires. Take the second harness, insert a thick paper clip into the hole above the pin to release the pin and pull the wire out. I had to cut apart the connector to accomplish this!

Good piece

The Metra piece designed for the CX-7 was missing two wires stated to be in the harness (even listed on the back of the harness packaging). I advised Sonicelectronix of this and they sent me this one hoping it would work better. It did as it had the extra two wires supposed to be in the other model (others have had the same problem with the piece they recieved) it did work better and they told me not to bother sending the other piece back so I pulled two more wires from it to add to this harness to make my steering and nav work.

Did what I needed

Clearly labeled. If you have any idea what the wires for a head unit do, you should be good to go. I used this to connect an aftermarket head unit and also do I could put an amp in between the unit and the wiring harness utilizing the Hi inputs on the amp. Worked great. Don't attempt if you're clueless.
