Its work on 2012 Tacoma
Its worked on my Tacoma including the OEM AUX. Even the steering phone control. Make sure to update the AWSC-1 to make it work.

Perfect wiring harness for Toyota vehicles in order to complete the ASWC install with aftermarket radio. Installed this in an 08 Sequoia and i didn't have to cut any steering wheel control wires from the car harness. Works flawlessly with the Axxess ASWC interface. Less wires to tuck behind the deck.

Easy to install versatile product. Installed with a JVC unit; easy to install with provided physical and online instructions. Worked on first try.

found this helpful.Just what I needed...
Ordered this while installing an aftermarket Pioneer head unit in my 2011 Tacoma. I mistakenly thought that all I needed was the ASWC-1 Steering wheel interface from Axxess but found out I needed this as well unless I wanted to cut and splice a ton of wires. This was plug and play and the install was a breeze after this. Recommend over splicing any day...

Recommended for 2012 Tacoma with Pioneer stereo. Aux is just plug and play with Pioneer and OEM Aux. Make sure update your AWSC-1 so the phone control on steering will work.

I took a chance with this kit for my Scion tC 2014 but unfortunately it doesn't fit with the steering wheel control plug.

I bought this item for the Pioneer AVIC-X930BT that was about to install in my new Scion tC 2012. I was able to install it myself and it was incredibly easy following the provided instructions.

This adapter works as intended. Made the install much easier. I recommend getting this if you are connecting up an Axxess ASWC.

I love that way these adaptors work. You simply solder the adaptor to the deck harness and then open your dash up and plug everything in. Doing all the soldering on the work bench in the shop is much better then in the vehicle. Great product and you can’t beat Sonic’s price.
The Axxess ASWC is a great SWC interface. Works very well with this harness adaptor and the Toyota - highly recommeded!!

Bought this originally when I moved my Pioneer HU from a Camry to a 4Runner. Also purchased the ASWC. Worked great. Easy install. Then I used it again when I replaced the Pioneer with a Kenwood. Worked great again with the ASWC. Only thing is the Kenwood doesn't have a jack to plug it in. I'm glad I didn't throw away the additional connector that came with the ASWC. You'll avoid splicing into factory wiring. Highly recommend.

If you are getting an ASWC-1 for your car, and they make a plug and play harness, get it! Makes it so easy.

found this helpful.good for those who dont want to cut wires
bought the ASWC-1 initially and was unaware that this harness existed. when i went to install the ASWC-1 to activate my steering wheel controls with my new pioneer deck, i realized i would have to cut and splice some wires; i did not want to cut up the factory harness at all just in case i ever want to re-install the factory radio (i also had no idea which wires to cut into). called tech support and they suggested this harness. bought it and installed it within 15 minutes of opening the packaging.it worked almost immediately in my 2012 scion. i taped up the RCA wires because i am using all 6 RCAs on my deck for amps. everything works great, very pleased. would have been nice to have been made aware of this harness while purchasing the ASWC-1 but not a big deal. thanks sonic.

found this helpful.Great product. Must have for Toyota/Lexus ASWC users.
I used this in my 2005 Lexus ES330. While my ASWC required manual programming to recognize my head unit, this harness made things much, much easier than with my wife's Suzuki SX4. Definitely worth the extra bucks if you have a Toyota or Lexus.

This is exactly what I needed to get the steering wheel controls in my buddys 2012 Tacoma working with the Pioneer deck that was installed. No need to cut the factory wiring. It takes the place of the wire harness that comes with the Axxess ASWC.

I'm sure that the Metra Wiring Harness works just fine but after many phone calls and emails to both Sonic and Metra, the manufacturer, I discovered that the two wiring harnesses were mispackaged and in fact were the wrong part. Sonic's customer service was excellent and this was a packaging error that they had no control over. I am still waiting for hopefully the third and final harness which I am confident will resolve this mixup.

Installation was clear and easy. Worked perfectly. Just connect the wires of the harness with the new install--which was clearly tagged.

found this helpful.Plug and play except for two wires for power and ground...
USB was my main reason as was the cost here of $90. Sure, I have Bluetooth in the Iphone 5s but when I'm traveling, Bluetooth doesn't charge. Tried many of those "FM transmitters" which are less then what they should be for quality sound plus you have to tinker with the settings when static comes in. Plus with USB, it charges, plays anything from the phone AND whether it be MP3, Pandora, IHeart, TuneIn, etc...the RDS displays the song title and singers. All while using the steering wheel controls.
So this Sony G3100UP was the ticket for my 2005 Camry with factory AM/FM/CD player...not a JBL system either. Had the Camry since new but don't need nor want a newer car so this upgrade was the fix.
Used the Axxess ASWC-1 to connect steering controls. Works automatically. Just hit the reset button and wait for the light to flicker green from red. Also used the Metra 70-8114 so no wire cutting on the steering controls. Also used the Scosche TA1468B / TA1468 single din dash kit. Plastic like most but fits the best. Flexes to make a smooth finish to OEM dash cover plate. And don't forget the Scosche TA02B to connect the radio to factory harness. There are some splicings here but start with wire nuts until you know all things work. Then go ahead and use butt connectors. Tape up the loose non-used ones too.
