I wouldn't purchase

I was hoping that this product would help with sound quality but it didn't.

They do what they are supposed to do ! better fit for 6 3/4 speakers though.

WARNING !!!.....Do not use for high power speakers ! Your speakers will overheat and melt and these baffles restrict airflow too much even if you cut the lower half off they will cause distortion. For high power speakers in doors better use dynamatt and make your own baffles to shield them from water. I've got them in an old pickups doors with some 65w pioneer premiere coaxials , they vastly improve base response and keep off the water which invariably leaks on them.

dimensions

The baffles are 2.75" in depth, i hope this info helps for those looking at these baffles. I couldn't find this information until I just physically measured it.

Only downside i can see is that you have to drill a hole to feed the speaker wires through. and then hot glue it to reseal the baffle.

waste of time & money

i bought this coz i thought my 6.5 pioneer component speakers will improve its sound but no it made it worst wasted money & 2hr of my life, end up removing it & dump to my recycling bin, maybe try the other product (foam), i think the problem here is its too small to be a baffles

I was baffled...

In the end they work quite well... installation on my car took me a while to figure out the best way to mount them, but in the end it worked out. The sound is a little deeper, but i mainly got them to protect the speakers on the rear deck. I am pleased with the product.

I'm sure they are nice, but...

I simply could not make these work in my door. I have a Saab 92x (Subaru imprezza wagon), and despite deepening the mounting setup, there just was not enough clearance between the window and the back of this unit to let me install it. Installing just the speaker worked a treat.

it was very easy to make a hole in this for wiring, they are very rigid and appear to be a high quality construction. I may just use them to create a speaker setup in my garage with the factory speakers I pulled out of my car doors.

they work well, i installed them in the rear deck of my car, now my solo baric dont beat on them no more! :)

Da bomb!

Made my speakers come to life. Funneled all the sound into my truck instead of the door panel. Highly recommend if u are floating your speakers in a door panel.

Good Product

The covers are made out of a good flexible plastic make sure you measure the speakers size. The cover would not fit mine but will use them at a later date.

I ordered these for a 91 Miata. They are a nice plastic material, unfortunately they did not fit this car.

Not for 5 1/4 inch speakers

These are great for a 6 1/2 inch speaker and really help keep moisture off them but with them being a hard shell they do not conform to the smaller 5 1/4 inch.

only way to go

This product worked extremely well for me because they were under the vehicle. After 3000 miles under all weather conditions they are holding up great.

Good Protection

They would probably be useful to protect the back of the speakers from moisture, but they didn't seem to enhance the bass at all, which is what I bought them for. They were a tight fit for my Infinity Kappa 6.5's.

Not what you think

These things look great. Nice hard plastic and with a gasket you can seal it to the speaker. However your lower end frequency response will suffer. I stuffed them with some polyfill and drilled 4 3/4" holes along the bottom. Used one hole for wires and now things are sounding better. Primary concern was protecting the speaker.

Worked out great

I have a 2000 buick lesabre, the problem was the door speakers have no mid bass kick I was looking for. (Speaker mounts on door panel not in the door) Had to do a little modification, but now I have that mid bass I wanted.

Must have item when installing door speakers!!! It keeps out the dirt and wind while keeping the sound inside vehicle! Easy to install and made pretty durable from what I can tell!!

These I used in my 2012 Chevy suburban and they were easy to install and worked great I decided I didn’t want to use them the way they came so I ended up cutting them up so the back wasn’t closed off and half way down the side more to keep water off the speakers and have great sound still a great product and purchase.
