It worked.
The dash kit fit the 05 Kia Spectra. I did use a couple of home sourced spacers (flange nuts) on the lower mounting points to reduce the gap on the bottom of the radio unit. My wife did not notice the gap till I told her about it. Sometimes I should just keep my mouth shut.
