only buy metra

metra are the best i think as far as dash kits go. very good plastic and very good instructions for all applications. for price and what you get....go metra. great stuff. ease of use i didnt give 5 star the plastic is tuff. dont break it

mounting kit

Fit in stock hole and made the install quick and simple.

Not too impressed.

The price is great, but the kit is not. You are way better off to spend a few extra bucks and get a different kit. I ended up going to my local audio store (which I hate doing), and paying the extra 10 bucks for an american international kit. The metra kits just arent what they are supposed to be. I have bought two and ended up having to buy another one of each. The fit and finish isnt good at all, the plastic is really too thin, even for what it is and does. Just better off not buying these. This is NO reflection on Sonic Electronix though. Sonic is the best company I have ever dealt with. Customer service, pricing, shipping, all top notch.

It works

It's definitely universal and there are a lot of tabs that you have to cut off. It wasn't very hard to do and cleaned up good with a Dremel.

nice mount

Mount is very sturdy and locates the radio in the proper place.

not so good

Metra may be good for many cars, but the multi-car kit did not accurately fit my Isuzu Rodeo (2004) and the mask protruded at the bottom of the dash.
Sonic was wonderful and sent another kit by Scosche to replace the Metra.
No cost to me. I was impressed with Sonic.

Metra 95-2009

Used this on my wife's '05 GMC Envoy.
Very easy to install and a perfect fit with very minor alterations. She now has a Avic-Z1 in her ride and is very happy.
Recommended.

Perfect Fit

Sonic Electronix sent this kit since the Bosch kit wasn't available for my 05 Aztek and it took a couple days for my entire order to ship but it was worth it. With this kit the unit is firmly in place. There is no skipping when I hit a pothole, plenty of those in Chicago, and it makes it look kind of stock because there are no signs of gaps in my console. Also the kit itself feels tough and isn't flimsy plastic. Great kit!!!

I bought a group of installation parts to put updated radios in our two cars. MY "operator error" made a choice that wasn't the best but I learned and I will buy again with confidence!!

Cheep product

The fit was not at all any where close, had gap all around face of unit.

Cheap option for 04 silverado radio install

Worked perfect to replace my factory radio with an in dash DVD player. Lost door chimes and had to run my own power wire but was worth it to save ***$

A Little Less than Expected

I would have paid much more for a mounting kit that was metal but... I don't think there are any. This is OK and gets the job done but unsure how long it will last. My biggest problem was the kit came with carriage bolts instead of the correct screws/bolts. It was a Saturday afternoon and my vehicle had the dash tore apart... not an easy task to search for the correct hardware. I made the kit work but wish somebody would make a better kit of metal, regardless of price. This problem was from the manufacturer, NOT Sonic Electronix. Sonic Electronix came through with flying colors on the entire sale by setting me up with the correct products and answering my questions! I strongly recommend Sonic Electronix but would like to see some manufacturer come out with a better kit.
