There's a lot of cutting and trimming you have to do to your dash than this fits perfectly.

When changing out the radio in the older truck this made it simple and easy and did not have to modify the dash at all.

This is simply awesome being able to mount a standard double din stereo in the factory dash. Trimming the dash is easy, I used a jigsaw and a drill for round corners. Only thing I recommend is making a fastener system for the bottom to secure it in the car better.

I recommend this here, and on my Facebook page, because it is an excellent fit, accommodates for problem areas in these dash areas, the template is perfect and useful, and the parts included are few, simple, direct answers for double din adaptations in this era of gm dashes. Also, easy to modify for anti vibration and rigidity upgrades while wholly adequate as provided. Value for the dollars, and ahead of delivery estimate time!????????????????????

This one takes a bit more work than the instructions show, trust me you will take a bit putting this one in.
First up taking the dash apart is not that big of a deal, the problem becomes the wiring when you get ready to cut. My dash had a 'duct' for the wires running through there, that I had to take part way out and carefully cut without cutting the wires, and then moving them out of the way for the new stereo. Realistically look at 2 to 3 hours to do this if you do it right.
Color is the only other issue - the adapter is black, so it will need to be painted to match your dash. I didn't paint mine; just not worth the effort IMHO.
Everything else though works perfect and it fits great once you get all the cutting done, well worth it if you are like me and hate single DIN stereos.
