Works great, good fit and finish

I was apprehensive at first having experiences previously with hard shiny plastic 'dash kits' however this kit blends well with the BMW interior. It has a bit of a texture which leaves it looking soft. The installation was a snap, it went in very easily! This was the easiest part of the radio install by far.

Looks great.

Installed this in my car and now looks sleek. Doesn't look too out of place and makes the stereo look a lot better than a ghetto rig. Especially since it's a BMW.

Better than expected

I've installed quite a few stereos in quite a few different vehicles, all my own personal vehicles and a few friends cars. I've used Metra products before and they make the job in newer vehicles a snap. Not all Metra products look that fancy after installed, they do their job of holding the stereo in place and that's it.
I was very impressed with the finish of the kit I installed in my 2004 BMW X5. The fit was great, and it almost matched the dash, at least it blended very well. The installation was straight forward and very simple.
