A little too shallow, but the only game in town.
The kit fits nicely into the dash, but at least in a 2001 Cadillac DeVille, its design is not quite deep enough to support any of the 1-DIN radios I have looked at. In the end, I had to fabricate my own sleeve because the nose of the radio sticks out about one inch beyond the face of the plastic. This is not a terrible inadequacy, but Metra should know this and should include a sleeve for this eventuality in the kit. Considering that Metra is the only maker to produce an adapter for this car, and considering the price, I am not complaining. Looks gets a 4 because the plastic is black instead of dark gray.

Great Product
This kit fits the dash opening perfectly in my 2001 Deville. I had to remove some material at the rear of the cavity, but that's due to the design of the dashboard, not this kit. Looks fantastic, excellent build quality, provides a solid mount. Using with a Kenwood KDC-X993. I gave the Look/Design 3 stars because the storage pocket is under the head unit, I think it would look better (and provide more function) on top. That's my only complaint.
