optional with single din, needed with double din
With any kind of DVD screen or navigation in the single din mustang this is needed..but with a single din unit I don't think it is, as it only basically shims out the unit to clear the inset factory bezel...

Bought this kit to install a single DIN in a 1995 Ford F-350. The kit has a lot of pieces but if u read the guide that comes with it and use a little common sense you can figure out which parts to use for your application. Overall good value and I would buy it again.
