Great Product

A friend was looking to install an after market stereo in his Mercury Sable. I found the Metra 99--5718 and I was hesitant about buying at first because of the price but I gave it a try. Once I got it all installed with the radio, it looked factory. My friend loved the clean and oem look as well. I was very well pleased with the product.

The METRA 99-5718 fit perfectly and was very easy to install into the dash I would definitely recommended this product.

This kit fits perfectly in my 2002 mercury sable come with everything u need 2 install a reciever besides ac control work fine the and the lights are orange be sure not to break clips when u remove the factory radio

Great Value..Awesome

This product was everything i expected it to be! The finish on the kit was matte black, very durable and easy to clean. It also comes with the antenna adapter which is not in the description. I would totally recommend this product and it was definitely cheaper than anywhere else i searched. Overall great product and service. Lets not forget it came in only 4 days when it said it would take 6-7 days.

not what I expected for the money

This works as it should for the most part. I do not like that it doesn't light up like the factory unit and the outside temp don't read unless the unit is on (heat or A/C). Other than that, good fit and not too ugly.

Holds all double dins holds my Kenwood 6960 great. Climate control works good, might want to have it installed by a pro lots of wires.

BEst bang for your buck

This thing looks stock, aside from the goofy colour of the digital temperature control. I ended up giving the car to my little sister but like I said, it looked stock.

Works with my mercury sable ls premium!

This kit was great! My 2001 mercury sable has the electronic climate control, and I was told by everyone that I couldnt get a new headunit, as its a single unit with the stock head unit (c********** particularly said it would never work). However, after calling Metra I was informed that this kit would work. Well I'm pleased to inform you that it does! My headunit fits great, and all of the electronic climate controls function great. Even external temperature works. The unit is lighted (an amber color) so it doesnt match stock interior, which is a little Annoying, but not a huge deal. The intsall was fairly easy, but the included directions were basically useless. Definatly worth the purchase if your trying to build a better soundsystem in a mercury sable ls premium.

This is by far one of the best EQ I have ever purchased , I highly recommend this Kicker EQ. It really gives you an outstanding bass boost control , sound quality is superb !

Great Product

This worked great in my 2002 mercury sable. The only problems I've had are that one of the wires didn't have a place to plug in and the unit seems to put itself on whatever it wants when I start my car. But overall it's worth every penny.

Metra 99-5718, Great Product

This faceplate is really worth it. It looks great and is easy to clean. The buttons light up and the smaller climate control screen also looks great. Installation was fine but my cars climate controls were'nt working after this faceplate was put in. After some work with the audio dealership we found out that this faceplate's computer had to be reset. So if you experience this problem its a no biggie, you'll just have to disconnect your battery and hook it back up again. After they did that every climate control function worked.
After all I would say If you were thinking about buying this product you should. Metra really did a good job on this one, A double din really looks great in this faceplate. I have seen a few people with single din radios installed too. Either way you go you wont be dissapointed. Great Product, and Sonic Has the best prices too!

The only insert I could find with electronic temperature control buttons are a bit small but works as advertised.

Clean install

Made for a clean install. Looks good with my 7" touchscreen. The LCD illumination is a very bright, a little too much at night. I also don't like the orange illumination on the buttons, but oh well... Install was simple. Was exact fit to my car and came with everything I needed.

But it is pricey.
I had to have it and it worked and looked like it came from the factory that way. 2002 Mercury Sable Premium.
