I've been using this dash kit for 6 months. I've had zero problems with it. I put it in with a double DIN head unit and it works absolutely fine. If your dash looks like the kit in the picture it should work fine for you.

Satisfied...but not completely

I have to agree with the other 2 reviews on this site. The fit is fantastic. I have had multiple people compliment on the look/design and are amazed that it's wasn't factory installed. The trim is a little lighter than the factory color, but that didn't really bother me. The most glaring flaw with this dash kit is the low quality of the finish and how prone it is to being scratched. You could barely rub a fingernail across it and you'll have a scratch. I think if Metra tweaks the color and changes the finish (maybe better match the factory plate) they'll have a perfect product.

Product shipped very fast from SonicElectronix and work perfectly for my double din swap out. Highly recommend both Sonic and the Metra replacement dash cover.

Great Fit

Installation was simple. Fits great. It does everything it is supposed to. There is only one area of dislike that I have about the product; the aesthetic value. It does not match the factory color very well. It is close, but lighter. The surface pattern on the original panel looked much better than this one, which is smooth. Any scuffs and/or scratches show up easily on this panel. I bought the panel when it first came out for my 2009 Nissan Frontier SE, and it was the only one on the market. There may be more to choose from now, but I had to get one for my double din receiver. Would I buy another one? Yes, if there aren't any others out there to choose from. I don't want to seem too critical, because the fit is very professional. Do research and find all your options to compare.

The metra kit for my Nissan Frontier was better then I expected. It looks factory witch is important to me. It also was very easy to install. I would highly recommend this product to anyone

almost a factory look. My dash section is textured and this one is not. However after the installation it looks like it came standard from Nissan.

I've had this adapter installed for several months now. I have to say that the fit of this product is PERFECT. It matches the factory piece exactly as far as fit goes. Before I purchased it, I had read that the finish matched the factory plate as well, and that is not true. So if you're expecting that, you will be disappointed. The finish is a matte black "frosted" plastic look, and scratches very easily, even if you bump you finger nail against it.

Great kit, and half the normal price. I install for a living, and Sonic is becoming my go to guys for kits we do not carry. It is faster than special ordering the part from our supplier, and cheaper on this one.
