Great look and perfect functionality

If you're getting a new head unit for your 03-07 Honda Accord go with the Metra 99-7803G kit. Don't redneck it with a working CD player under a non working CD player. Get this kit and have a clean install. The heat/air controls work flawlessly, and my double din fits perfectly, also comes with a single din kit for the minimalist. Its a little pricey but its worth every penny.

supposed to fit?

For the 2005 honda accord, would not recomment. Doesnt fit properly and its in the way of the bottom pocket. Had to cut parts so it would fit.

I am so happy that Metra made this kit. My AC control and the radio broke in my car and they wanted $1000.00 to fix it. I was able to put in an awesome Pioneer, change the speakers, and purhcase the kit for less than the repair. Thank you METRA!

Metra 99-7864 for 05 accord

Works for what it is intended to do. The quality of the control knobs could be better, but the options to get other replacements are slim.

Worst purchase ever

The part does not fit correctly in my 07 Honda Accord like the website said it would it bows out on both sides and you can see the sides of my radio it would not let my dash piece pop in correctly so I had to trim that piece down so it would fit it just don't fit like it is suppose to I don't plan on buying another piece of electronics from y'all again if this is the products y'all send out and I spend 219 dollars on something that makes my car look worse

its alright better than the alternative of having a radio in the little cubby hole underneath the manufacturers radio unit. my gripe with this product is that the control for the air did stay attached for more than a day after it was installed that was a bummer because to send it back i'd have to get it taken out (more money) then put back in (more money) so now i have to grab the inner part of the knob with my nails to get it to turn the air up or down.

Absolute Junk

I tried using this kit so I could get some descent tuneage out of my 06 accord; however, once I took it out of the package, I quickly returned it! The buttons and knobs are very cheap and chintzy. The plastic texture and color does not quite match either. I was not willing to cheapen the nice interior Honda spend so much money on.

It was a tough decision.

First i would like to say that, other than the negative feedbacks i have read for this product that it was well worth the money for the sound it was able to let me get out of my speakers by purchasing an after market deck (pioneer premier 710bt). pros: it works, it was easy to install, it fits nice, great instructions, Cons: lights dont look anything like stock ones, delay on ac start up, stickers around placed well. i would recommend this to someone who owns a 03-07 accord just because they are missing out on some high quality sound that they cant get out of their stock stereo. it was a tough decision but i am happy with the purchase.

Simply PERFECT!

Sonic Electronix is one of the few online shops that I would actually recommend to others. Simply great service, fast shipping and every item is as per description. The Metra 99-7864

This product was everything I imagined it to be. It was completely interchangable to the stock part which made the transition of changing out my radio seamless. It was a great experience dealing with their customer support. Friendly and helpful with lots of knowledge about the products they sell and industry products that I could use for other interfaces within my dashboard.

A Satisfied Customer

I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to replace the Honda factory stereo. I bought one of these to house an Alpine stereo with detachable face and it is serving that purpose with no problems (all buttons work, all knobs secure, stereo fits securely, etc.). This kit isn't the prettiest thing you'll ever see but it looks decent, it fits and it works. Money well spent as far as I'm concerned.*

Metra 997864 review

Good: It fits well. Installation was easy. Price was very good. I picked up this unit while it was on sale for $125. Sonic customer service is very polite and helpful.
Bad: The led lighting is actually dim. I called Metra tech support for assistance. I wired everything properly and it's still dim. Honda's OEM is very bright in comparison. Also, Metra has no competition. I could not find another brand of dash kit.
Overall: It was a good buy & it does the job.

2007 Honda Accord Installation

Just got done installing a dual XMA6415 radio, using a Scosche HA08B / HA08 harness and this Metra 99-7864 DIN Installation KIT in addition to the PAC SWI-PSv1 (New Version of SWI-PS) Steering Wheel Control Interface into my wifes 2007 Honda Accord. The radio sound much better than the factory. She loves playing her music from a USB memory device plus the control of the ipod.

The installation was straightforward, although I had to study the manuals for the radio and especially the PAC SWI. The integration of these devices worked flawlessly. I had a couple of questions that were answered perfectly by SonicElectronics support dudes.

regarding the Metra - removing the vents over the radio was tricky, the Metra procedure wasn't all that accurate kind far from the reality. I took a plastic prying tool for automotve use to pry the middle of the vent cover, adjacent to the windshield, in an upward movement to disengage the mounting clips from their respective mounts, but it worked out fine. Just be gentile and try not to man handle this - this step was the only difficult step in the installation.

One other thing - the heater/ac interface controls - it seems that when you start the car, this electronics "boots" up - so you need to give yourself 3-5 seconds before the controls kick in. Also there is a slight delay in turning on the heat or ac and when changing a setting - however this was not an issue for me. I highliy recommend this kit, great value for the price.

This is best for people who have honda accord 4 cylinders. I bought it for my car and it's working very good. Thanks to whoever made it :)

Item works as promised.

The dash kit was relatively simple to install. I had a little trouble getting the old unit out of my Accord but that's not Metra's fault at all, just the way the car is built. That being said, Metra included nice instructions that helped me get the other unit out.
The Metra unit is definitely not of the same quality as the original Honda unit. You can tell with the knobs and buttons that it might not be able to take the years of abuse as the original. However, the unit matches the original colour of the dash.
The installation of the new cd player was also relatively easy except for a gap at the bottom of the new unit that I installed (it was a Sony). This I took care of with some dark grey insulation tape for around windows. A small problem but definitely a little lack in quality.
In conclusion, the installation was pretty easy for most people to figure out and the unit works well.
