Great cb radio midland. 75-822

I am the manger of a couple of rock bands that tour the us and pretty much over the world.
We have two midlands handy in case we break down need to get roadside assistance and just in general you can't rely on a phone cell signal.
Case in point try driving over mt hood to bend Oregon you have no cell phone service for at least a hour. What I'd you break down in the middle of a snow storm. Not good.
I have it in my bag and carry it every where as a trustee backup. The signal is clear easy to use and I like the fact you can get NOAA wether on it. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone

In my business being on the road you need a midland to give you that piece is mind having a quality back up cd to help you out.

Good product for the money

Good product for the money. Used on Harley but you will need headset in order to use it hands free. That's another few bucks. It will have better range with better antenna. Also a mounting bracket for handle bar and those have a wide range of price.

Poor design and flawed parts

Owned this for 3 months now and both knobs split and come off,
the ac adaptor never put out any dc voltage - hence will not charge the batery pack yet they all test fine in other chargers. Not the easyest to use without readers to read small dim display and layout is poor.

Review Midland 75-822

I purchased this radio for my job as a runner for a large construction company. My goal was to use the information I gleened from the truckers I travel with everyday. The unit performs very well with a small outside clip on antenna. I usually listen, but if the need arises the radio will talk easily with those trucks in my area, about 1/2 mile range dependent on antenna and conditions. The radio is well constructed, easy to use, the instructions answered all of my questions for installation. I would recommend this radio for the quiet traveller who moves up and down the local interstates.
