Was looking for a 12" box that's tuned around 34-35 hz. Didn't want to pay $250 or more for a custom build around where I live. I found it in this box but paid no mind to the cutout diameter measurements, (knowing it's made specifically for the x series) which I should have because it was too large for my DC Level 1 12. So I grabbed my uncle, he worked his magic, which was drilling tiny holes at an angle threw the sub mounting holes into the box, then screwed the mounting screws for the sub at an angle and got it mounted. And here I am to say this box is great, completely changed the way bass sounded in my vehicle. Just clean, loud and has perfect transitions. Wewt! Wewt! Go NVX!

Looks good. Sounds great!
Just like the title says. These look very nice and the performance is awesome. The silver lining to the fact that the NVX X-series woofers don't fit in pre-fab boxes is that you are able to buy a box that was specifically made for the subwoofer by NVX. I bought 2 of these for my dual set-up and you might wonder why. I like being able to turn the boxes sideways when I go on trips with the family to be able to shove these in between the wheel-wells of my 300 and have room for our luggage. Most of the time I just run them side-by-side. Each sub has its own air space and its own port which is nice and separate boxes allows the flexibility to run only one if I need the trunk space or ever want to sell one or let my wife use 1 in her car. At first I was bummed out about having to get two separate enclosures but there are more benefits than negatives. Highly recommended!

NVX XQW122 (Newest Version)
I bought this sub as my end-all-be-all sub. I have a 2011 dodge ram, so fitting 12" subs and up is a bit of a difficulty. I had this sub in a 36HZ ported box that was on the verge of too small (around 1.1 cu ft) but it was still super responsive and hit beautiful notes. It also too all 1200 watts at 1 ohm that the JAD 1200.1 gave to it with no problem.
I finally purchased a vented underseat box from Fox Acoustics, but this model was too big for a 13" max opening, so I decided to change to the VSW122. I brought this sub into my house to use as a home subwoofer and I'm glad I did. Even in it's small volume box, it runs circles around the factory purchased 12" that I had. I purchased a 4" aero port and will be building a new home sub box to spec for this XQW. This sub is the BEST sub I have ever owned and it definitely competes with subs in the $300+ range.
