Thick 4700 strand. Not as thick as Knu but it is so much cheaper and it is well worth the money. Great product. Heat shrink is a little dinky and lugs have small holes so it wasn't easy to find grounds.

Does what it should!

I purchased this big3 because I needed to upgrade to 1/0 alt wiring for the 320amp DC alt coming in. Kit has everything you need besides a fuse and block, nice flexible high quality ofc wiring and sturdy terminals. Even on the stock alt just adding this wiring increased my output and really helped stabilize my voltage. Something that just about any audio system can benefit from.

I ran this kit in a 2009 Aveo5 lt and it was very easy to work with and had plenty of wire to use. It made a major difference in the electrical system. I am running 2 Dc audio 12 inch level 4's and a hifonics 2400.1 d class amp and a hifonics 640.4 and not headlight dimming since I put this in the car.

Awesome kit

This kit has the same amazing high strand silver tinned copper that NVX uses in their amp kits. It is super flexible and easy to work with. The ring terminals that are included i noticed are made of copper with some kind of chrome coating, and they are very good quality. You will need some sort of crimping tool though. The only thing I didnt like is they suggest that you put a fuze within 12 feet of your battery on the battery wire but there isnt one included with this kit but otherwise it is awesome.

Great kit

This big three kit is awsome. I like how only one end of each wire has a terminal crimed on and not on both ends. Having the extra terminals to crimp on your own allows for a custom cut and crimp. I install car audio as a hobby for many of my friends and family. As well as their friends and relatives. I have used many kits, or custom made my own. This kit is extremely convenient and easy to use. It allows for custom cut and no need to purchase anything extra. Everything you could possibly need for a big three upgrade is in this kit. The wires are extremely flexible and will turn into tight corners. I like to hide as much wire as possible as I like a clean look. These wires were more than what I hoped and was looking for. I will most definitely be looking for spools of this wire for future audio installs.

Big 3 done

Great wires, easy to install and gauge to spec, fits 0 gauge fittings perfectly. I also bought the NVX battery terminal connectors. Very happy with the quality of their products. Ended up with about 4FT extra wire.

big 3 kit

this is a great kit. I bought off ebay a 8 ton crimper to crimp the lugs that needed to be crimped after you get them to length. This kit fit perfectly over my new mechman alternator lug. The big 3 kit now gives me all the power I need. The wires were plently long enuff and install was so easy. Buy it...it just works.

NVX cap

I have a 2200 watt hifonics amp pushing my subs (hard) and a hifonics 1000 watt four channel running my components. Never once have I had headlight dim or anything. If youre looking to save some money by not buying another batter/alt this is for sure the way to go.

Good Wire, But That's It

Awesome, true to spec wire, fairly flexible being that it's such a big wire. The kit came with everything I needed to do the big 3. Now for the bad part. The upgrade did absolutely nothing for my charging system, the only thing I done was managed to blow money on something that I didn't need, made no difference. It's all a sales gimmick, the only way I think it will make a difference is if your running a really h/o alternator in which you would be required to run larger gauge wire or melt the smaller gauge factory wiring, catch stuff on fire etc, but for a stock alternator? Your just wasting your money. But I can't give this product a low star review, it's wiring. The wire is great, just the purpose of the wiring is a waste of time & money for stock alternators. Bad purchase for my app, or any similar app running stock alternators, don't recommend big 3's for it, just trust me and don't make the mistake I did..

Awesome Cap!

Had to give it a try and it did its job as described. This cap made a big improvement in my system, bass response was better and much less power loss to my aux equipment. Never been a believer in capacitors but this one changed my mind, very happy with my purchase! You will not be disappointed.

This item is good because you can get it all in one order. Its more expensive than ordering by the foot, the ordering terminals separate and all that. So it adds a bit of convenience. The cables are high quality. The terminal are also very good. Make sure you scrape, sand, or grind off the chrome finish . Its copper underneath.

Only thing that would make this kit better is if included a fuse holder and a fuse (like the competitor products) . The reason I chose this kit over the ones that include the fuse and holder, is this is OFC cabling. If your going to buy 0 gauge, no point buying crappy CCA.

Overall good value, would definitely buy it again in the future.

Very sleek and powerful

Great for a dual amp setup. I'm running two 5000 watt re-audio amps to two re-audio 15xxx's. The cap alone could handle short runs, but after added a second battery, it never drops below 12 volts. The cap looks great and only displays the voltage when it changes. Big punch in a small package!

NVX 0 gauge

This product was amazing. It was think wiring along with it being OFC. The only thin is you will need a soldering kit for the terminals because you would not be able to crimp them.

One of the best!

I have installed somewhere around 30 capacitors in the automotive world and each one has some kind of drawback, sometimes even making me uninstall the cap in favor of another one. This cap, however, is one of the best I have ever used. I am having a difficult time finding anything negative to say about this cap. Somehow, NVX managed to fit 10 farads into one small package. Upon further reverse-engineering of this unit, I discovered one small oil cap, and numerous electrolytic caps. This hybrid approach really delays the need for additional batteries in the trunk because it has mechanisms for quick and slow power delivery in one little box. This kind of technology will never reduce your need for a higher-powered alternator; if your system draws more than your current alternator can sustain you need a bigger alternator. This cap reduces voltage fluctuation in the system which can be noticed with "dimming lights". Voltage fluctuation in my system before the cap was about 2.5v with a properly sized alternator. Now my voltage fluctuation is at a cool .4v!

Fantastic value!

The quality of this cable is superb, it appears to be identical to the Kicker 1/0 hyperflex I ran front to back 5 years ago. It's REAL copper wire which is almost hard to believe considering the price of the kit vs how copper has skyrocketed in price over recent years. Of the 5 or 6 brands of 1/0 I have in my car and numerous others I've installed, NVX is now very near the top of my list.

The lugs included are also of very high quality. My only complaint is the holes were a few sizes too small for my application for everything but the alternator output post which was a tad too large. Nothing a vice and sharp drill bits couldn't fix though.

I spent hours shopping around for the best big 3 upgrade kit in terms of value, I firmly believe that this is it.

I haven't had a chance to put this to the test. Unit is easy to install, however the manual could be a bit more specific. Had to watch you tube videos to figure out how to properly charge and discharge it.

Well worth the money so far

I give it a 4 simply because the instructions are either read in a understanding but not accurately helpful like what size fuse you are supposed to use and didnt mention if your supposed to fuse from the amp to the cap and cap to the battery it says to fuse to charge the battery and then that how to charge is confusing. You should ( sonic) should put a instructional video that is about this cap and only this cap. I hope this helps whenever wants one just make sure you know what your doing or you can hurt yourself. I use a 1500bd and a t2 s1 and 2 batteries and this cap big 3 and ho 180amp alternator and this cap was worth buying it helps my car even when I'm not using my stereo I feel and notice the difference from turning my headlights on up and down the windows no idle drop at all. 97 honda prelude

Very High Quality Big 3 Kit

I don't think I can put the quality of this kit into words. NVX has done it again. I have yet to be disappointed in a single product from them. The tinned copper cables have a very high strand count. The copper in these cables is every bit of 1/0 ga. I would say it's actually a little larger than true 1/0. The jacket on the NVX cables is beautiful. It is just the right thickness to offer great protection and remain highly flexible. The terminals provided with this kit are the biggest I have ever seen. They are very thick. You will either need one heck of a crimper or be prepared to solder as I did. The lugs and jacket hold up very nice to the heat from the torch while soldering. My electrical system in my NNBS GMC Sierra Crew Cab is performing extremely well after big 3 upgrade with this kit. I'm running 2 amplifiers and my voltmeter doesn't budge at full tilt. Only time it drops is due to the GM voltage regulator on the newer trucks that supposedly helps the mpg. I can even hold down all 4 window buttons with stereo and A/C on and the voltmeter stays on same reading. Awesome. I've used plenty of other brands of cable and none of them come close to NVX. You will not regret buying this kit.

I was looking for some 4 channel signal cables and ended up buying these. There is no noise from other cables or devices even with a lot of cables running next to it and that is what you want. The only con I had was the plastic shield broke of pretty easily at the connectors but the inner cable was still intact.

OmG amazing!!!

This is oxygen free 100% pure virgin copper (OFC) that has been dipped in silver. I was using a diffrent cables that was OFC but it was also (CCA) Aluminum wire dipped in copper.

The difference in volts that I gained was 40% higher! So it is most certainly more efficient. Thank you NVX & thank you sonic electronix!!!!

Honestly, these are great cables!

I really like these cables, I have just stepped into the competitive stages of car audio not very long ago and now realize the importance of good durable rca cables to deliver good clear signals to the amplifiers. These cables work great and there tuff and durable. The ends fit very VERY snug, there is no coming loose with these. I like the fact that they are heavy duty ends and a braided coating down the entire cable. Good quality!

When it comes to do the big 3 this its the best kit you would find for the buck. I did a lot shoping around to find the best quality and price and it leads me to this nvx... Once I got it deliver and I check it out it totally impressed me on quality and flexibility... This its a top quality wiring brand at least I think so, for what I experience.. I like it so much that I also order a power and ground wires from nvx for my entire system ( jlhd 1200, jl 400/4, rf cap.hd10fard)
As far as imprubment it did, louder and clearer bass, louder mids and highs, the only think it didn't help much on dimming lights, it help some but I can still notece some dimming when playing it super loud... But as fur as big 3 upgrades this its the kit to get....

Works great on tundras

I was asking a lot from my stock alternator and batter playing 2100 watts rms. I read about doing the big 3 ad was hoping it would help. My idling current was 13.6 volts from the factory. After the big 3 I was seeing consistent 14-14.2 idling voltage on my digital distribution block. Highly recommend the big 3 upgrade to squeeze all you can from the factory set up.

I was very skeptical about purchasing a cap because of all the thing i heard about using it. They say a cap is a band aid to your electrical system and don't see any benefit from using it. Due to the limited space i had in my storage area under the back of my Durango, didn't have enough space for a battery. Reading all of the other reviews of this product lead to to purchase this cap. I follow all of the direction it took about an hour to change it up. This cap is the truth I'm running a 2500 watt Brutus elite amp down to a 1 ohm load and at full power my voltage don't drop below 13.8. I did do the big three but I'm using the factory battery. It also made the bass notes hit harder and cleaner due to the cap feeding it all the current it needs. If you were skeptic like I was, this is no doubt the real deal. You wont be disappointed

I really like the NVX wire. Its flexible but not because it is lacking wire. I find that most flexible wire is lacking just that. Wire!!! You want the most amount of wire strands in order to carry the current. The jacket feels very well made and I like all the terminals and heat shrink you get along with the kit. This Big 3 setup kit is better than what I was hoping for. Its really is TRUE 100% OFC 1/0 AWG, that is very strong and flexible. I installed this on my 95 GMC Suburban K2500 and took me no more than 25 minutes (ripout and installation) to complete. Even had about 3 feet left over from the power wire and close to 2 feet left from the ground wire.

Great Wire

I originally ordered the mechman big 3 upgrade to match the mechman high output alternator that I installed. But the mechman wires were crap! The 0 guage was so loose in the housing that you could pull strands out from the ends. Complete garbage. I ordered the nvx to replace and the quality was so much better.

True 1/0 Gauge

I was happy to see that this product out shined the other options in the same category by having true 1/0 Gauge OFC Copper. Plenty of length for the runs, and made a run from opposite ends of the vehicle bay in my car from alternator to battery. Won't be a problem of too little wire for 99.9% of cars.

The Quality of these wires was very high and had everything needed to install this straight into my car. Unfortunately, on my car the alternator is on the opposite end of the engine bay from my battery, so only one groud wire was long enough, but it was easily fixed by buying a second five-foot ground cable. Solved my audio drop out issues

I know that some say that a capacitor is like a bandaid, but this is one great expensive bandaid.
Over the past few months, I've had audio drop outs when I turned up my amp. Protected light would come on, especially on punchy basses.
I checked everything. Wire connections and all. I have 1/0 awg connected to a 150amp fuse with a Kicker 1800watt amp. 2 Power accoustic 1500 watt rms (aware of the wattage difference in the amp), 150 amp alternator with a newly installed Optima yellow top battery.
Everything looked okay. Maybe I need an upgraded alternator, which doesn't make sense because I had this same setup in my Honda Civic with no issues.
Well, installing this, solved the issue. It's even better than the Honda Civic loudness I believe.
Now, I'm upgrading the amp and speakers for even more power. Alternator upgrade as well.

I was really pleased with this kit. Not only does it provide you with plenty of wire to work with, but to get all the extras in the kit for this price is hard to beat. It would be almost impossible to build your own kit with comparable products for the same price!

Powerful upgrade

Nice install options however nowhere in the instructions mentions the doors that open on the sides. Nice display and seams to have added clarity and bass. I have a system volt meter on the dash gained son stability. However I’m running 3. Interestingly it’s exactly identical to the Fosgate.

Best bang for the buck

Bought this last year to drive 3 amp system and maintains voltage no matter how I play it. Having the built in distribution block is very helpful. The only thing I did not like was the charging board but I used an old fashion test light and it charged in no time at all. I believe in this product so much buying this cap again for my new ride. Looks very similar to the Rockford version but at half the price.

Without a doubt this is the best bass cap you can buy! Rockford foagate makes the very same cap there is nothing different about it, besides the price! I have 2 12" DC AUDIO LEVEL 3 subs being ran by an Incriminator Audio 20.1 amp on a factory alternator inside a 2007 Yukon Denali and I have "0" light dimming issues with this installed..I mean none! It takes a while to charge up at first using the included resistor, but once it's charged it works perfect! Been thinking about getting another one just to keep on hand in case they discontinue it. I really don't feel there is a better one out there right now, and I've been buying caps since 2000 and installing car audio in my car since the 90's. Buy it!...

This is the best 10 farad capacitor for the money on the market right now. I had a whining noise before I installed this and after the noise is gone. I grounded this the the frame and ran the other wires back to the 2 amps and the whining sound is gone and I have no interruptions in bass at all it supplies a constant voltage to my subs .

I have a 270 amp alternator and still couldn’t keep up with my system. I through this in parallel with my sub amp and door speakers amp and now my volt gauge doesn’t move. Very happy considering my system peaks 320 amps and my alternator output is 210 at idle.

Purchased this cap at act as a buffer on my electrical system. This is in no means a bandaid for a weak electric system. I love that it has a built in voltage meter and the distribution blocks worked out great for my amp setup. I have this on a Hifonics Colossus Pro 5K and even with this cap it seriously pull down my voltage at full tilt, but I'm having a custom built 270amp alternator for my car right now. I will be perfect for keeping a steady voltage flow to my amp and prevent spikes. I would definitely buy again. Exactly the same as the more expensive Rockford hybrid cap at half the price.

I had ordered two of these NVX capacitors, one was defective out of the box but they replaced it fatherly quickly, saved my truck from stalling out with my system. I currently run one 12” EVL Skar subwoofer with the recommended 1500 watt amplifier and it would draw enough voltage to stall out. My lights still dim slightly at higher volume but for the price, size, and it’s effects I definitely recommend this product. My only complaints would be the poor labeling one the blocks themselves and the flimsy door covering said blocks.

Nvx big 3 upgrade

Installed the big 3 upgrade on a 2012 f150 and it made a major difference in voltage wires are long enough to cut to length you need and have some left over I personally put a 250 amp circuit breaker in between my battery and alternator wire just for piece of mind you don’t have to do this I just chose to do it on my truck. But I definitely recommend the big 3 upgrade from NVX especially if your running high output amps and and other accessories it’s a must have
