Perfect size for my 2011 F150

This was my first subwoofer purchase/install. I did a lot of research and JL comes highly recommended. In my F150 Super Cab there is just not much room for anything. I knew I needed a compact subwoofer. I was a little concerned about the performance. No need to be. Coupled with the NVX MPA1 amp, it provides more than enough bass. I'd guess I'm using only about 3/4 or less ofits capacity. The amp doesn't even get warm and it shapes the mirrors.

Everything you have read about this subwoofer is true.

I bought this because there is not much room under the back seat in my 2011 F-150. I had read that the sound quality was really good even though it is a compact design. I used a 300W monoblock amplifier from NVX (MVPA1) mounted under my dash then ran 10ga wires to the woofer, mounted in a Zenclosure box made for this woofer. The box dimensions are exactly what is on the JL website. WOW. It sounds really great. The box is a little large to fit under the seat so I'm building my own. I can't wait to get it finished.

For it's form factor, I think it is the best you can get right now

For a sub that fits in tight places, it delivers in spades. I put one in my 2014 F150 and I can't say anything bad about it. It hits like a full-size woofer. I plan on changing from a single box to a dual with 2 of these and I know I won't be disappointed. If you are tight on space and you want good thumping in your chest bass, look no further.

Got two of these for my 04 nissan frontier crew cab and I was not dissapointed at all. They hit very hard and work great for the limited space I have. Would definitely recomend this product 100%.

Great sub for small spaces

I would definitely recommend this sub. It hits exceptionally hard for only being a 10" shallow sub. Fits perfect in my subthump custom box for my truck.

These subs really pound!! Didn’t think they would hit this hard but wow! Put these under my seat in a 2016 GMC Canyon.

Best output in the smallest enclosures. Ported or sealed, this driver is a great choice for those who just don't have the space. My go to sub woofer for most of my confined applications. Don't let the size fool you, these do get loud and low. Even better after a break in period.

I have tried several different subwoofer options that would mount in a shallow box, including the JL Audio TW1 subs. Nothing that I have used comes close to the sonic excellence that these speakers offer. I would still like to try the high end RF shallow subwoofer and maybe the Sundown Audio as well. But I can say this speaker is worth the money without a doubt. The low end is great with a lot of punch. You can just look at them and see that they’re well made.

If this is a subwoofer that you’re considering then I would say don’t hesitate. I sincerely doubt that you’ll find a better speaker. Perhaps one that is as good or very good and maybe a bit less expensive. But dollar for dollar this one won’t be beat.

Small enough for tight spaces but powerful enough for the type of sound I’m looking for

Awesome subs, perfect for limited space.

I've got 2 of these in a sealed downfiring box in a 2000 Ford F150 under my back seat. These things are legit. They're a little pricey but if you've got limited space, there's not a better option out there. Classic JL. Clean, hard, crisp, deep bass. Just perfect sound. They hit hard, a lot harder than you would expect a smaller woofer like this would, just as hard if not harder than 12" Alpine type r's or kicker cvr's which i've owned in the past. But the quality of the sound is much better.

The one negative is that one of them has blown after about 14 months of hard use. I really don't know who's to blame; myself, the amp, or the sub itself. The other one was perfectly fine, I just replaced the blown one since the 1 yr manuf warranty had expired. Aside from that, I can't say anything bad about the sub.

Amazing sound

I bought 2 of these subs and wired them at 4ohms using an JL 1000/1. I cannot believe the bass that comes from these subs with such little space. They are under the seat in my 2001 1500 hd crewcab. If you have a truck or something with little amount of space... definitely worth the money here

I’ve always had JL ... however I’ve never had the limited space I do currently. 2 10tw3’s, and rd1000/1... the amp is a lil much for these subs however tuned properly and correct air space, it sounds phenomenal in my truck. I used JL’s remote for the amp cause I listen to a huge variety of music. It’s pretty phuking amazing :)

Absolutely amazing sub for shallow mount

Jl audio always been great especially being made in florida. There definitely built to handle hot weather. They have more than enough bass in a pair. And not to much making body rattle apart lol. Will this version win you competition no. But people have been amazed how they hit. I have them wired in a one ohm load on a rockford fosgate 750 watt amp. Match them perfectly.
