Great little amp for the money
I use this amp to power a Rockford Fosgate 400 watt rms subwoofer. This little unit powers the sub very nicely. Plenty of boom.
One major gripe: I did not want to have remote wire going to my headunit due to the distance to the head unit and the difficulty reaching the back of the head unit for wiring. So I expected to be able to power this amp without using the remote wire. It wouldn't power on, and I thought I might have a defective amp on my hands. I had to do a lot of digging to figure out why it would not power on. Seems like this is something they should mention in the instruction manual! As a workaround, I wired the remote wire together with the power wire, which works for me since I have a battery switch in my boat. I would not recommend this if you don't have a battery switch or another way to switch the amp on and off.
Overall, though, I am very pleased with the amp and the power it provides to my sub. I also love its compact size and how easy it is to adjust. The bass knob is a huge plus as well. Very helpful to bump the bass up when listening at lower volume and bump it back down when playing loud bassy songs. Highly recommend this little amp!
