Great budget speaker

I put these in the front doors and some NVX 6x9s in the rear deck on a Cobalt to replace blown factory speakers. They were just running off the (extremely weak) factory GM radio.
I was very, very impressed with their performance for a budget speaker. The tweeters were bright without being too harsh, and the bass response was unreal for the tiny amount of power they were getting from the headunit. Now, they didn't slam like subs or anything, but it was solid bass.

Great cheap speakers

I just installed these and I'm quite impressed. Clean highs that aren't overpowering, decent mids and much better bass than my stock speakers without distorting. I don't have them amped, I'm just running them off a JVC headunit but they still sound phenomenal with very little distortion at high volumes. I'll definitely be trying out other products from nvx.

NVX 6.5" coax speakers

For the price, you are not going to get a better replacement or entry level speaker. Good sound though they do not come with speaker grills/covers so consider that, should you need them for your specific application.

Awesome Entry Level Option!

I put a set of these in my access doors in my Frontier a few months ago and love them. I have the 6x9 version in the front doors and am powering them with a MTX 4 channel at 55x4. The mids and highs are crystal clear and smooth. I prefer the silk tweeter on these to other options that have a more shrill or harsh sound to them. Can't speak to the way they sound on deck power or the bass response as they are running on a high pass crossover through the amp. I highly recommend them and the combo pack with a set of these and a set of the 6x9's is what I did. Phenomenal package deal for the value of these speakers.

07 Dodge Dakota install

Used as part of a Sony Head install in a 2007 Dodge Dakota Club cab.
Stock speakers have mating connector. Chose to not cut and splice those wire and this worked like a charm with the Kenwoods I put in the door.

I put these speakers in my fiance's Mini Cooper S because the one's that were in there sucked in the high's department! I was impressed with just hooking them up to the stock HU. I can actually here what people are saying and singing without having to crank the volume way up. I'm gonna get some more for my 4Runner for highs now!

great value for the money

These were part of my first purchase of nvx products and they were amazing. straight off deck power these sounded loud and clear. the deck was a kenwood kdc-x300 and it has a ton of tuning features such as 13 band eq and multiple crossover points speakers size selectors etc etc (reason i bought the deck) and it made these sound amazing. can only imagine the sound off a amp doing 40 to 60 rms. as i said was my first purchase of nvx products and paired them with same model of 4" speakers. since then i have been using the v series speakers and vcw subs. all sounds amazing and handle power really well. highly recommended.

3 inch dash speakers for Ram with Alpine system

The plugs that Sonic recommended/included were incorrect. They were for the door 6x9's.
After looking through all the Metra plugs, these were the only ones that looked correct, so I took a gamble.

Update on previous review

So before I complained that the bass was a bit lacking on these - I withdraw this statement. With the addition of amp and head unit, these babies can sing to thier full potential, which is substantial. Compared to Clarion 1623S components, these have very rich bass - it won't go to 20 hz, but 70 hz as rated is I'd say where the frequency response *starts* to drop off, you can definitely get deeper that out of these, maybe just less intense than above 70 hz, but with some playing with the equalizer you can get a lot of that back. I find myself sending more fader signal to the back to get the bass output out of these that's missing up front. Overall, I highly recommend for the price.

Good definition, a little light on lower bass

These were a significant improvement over the OEM speakers in my 2015 Elantra base model. The mids and highs are clear, and not tinny. Naturally, I don't expect these to have full bass of a sub, and the mid-bass is good, but it doesn't seem to reach some of the deeper bass I'd like. Keep in mind of course that these are not expensive speakers. Can't speak to the durability, but so far so good.

What a surprise !

I purchased the NSP65 for the front & NSP525's for the rear . I cut the OEM speakers out of the OEM housings and the NVX speakers were a easy fit. The sound was great &

NVX nsp69 & NVX nsp6.5 combo

I ordered the special offer of the nvx n series 6x9 and 6.5 coaxial speakers. I picked these because of the quality of the product and the review EXO from YouTube did. I first ran them off my head unit only, bass wasn't good but the midst and highs were noticeably better over stock 6x9 and 6.5 in my honda civic. They also distorted badly at high volume while powered by aftermarket Jensen touch screen headunit. I then added a Alpine KTP -445U 45wx4 rms mini amp and they really shined! I love the clean and clear highs they produce when properly powered. The bass is very tight and more punchy then boomy. I think more power would bring out the bass more but they are perfect for a factory replacement. I would recommend these to anyone. Better if ran off an amp that gives them the power they need but if running a sub and can keep bass low then they will work fine. Most aftermarket headunits/cd players only put out 15-20w rms, despite the box says 4x4 or 50x4. That is max power not rms. Google search rms power to understand what it means.

2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma - Factory Speaker Replacement Package | NVX

I purchased the 2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma - Factory Speaker Replacement Package | NVX because it was listed as “Simple plug and play installation, no cutting required”. All the components seem like good to high quality (much higher than the OEM speakers). I have a 2012 Tacoma and this package was not a plug and play package. First I had to modify the Metra 82-8148 brackets to fit the NVX NSP65 speakers. There are several tabs that protrude inside the 6.5 opening, I had to sand them out of the opening to fit the speaker. Next, the NVX NSP35 are too big to fir the OEM brackets and too long to fit behinds the door panel. I had to cut out an opening that allowed the back of the speaker to push into the door. Next, I had to significantly modify the OEM mounting bracket to work with the speaker which is about ½” larger in circumference than the OEM speaker. This meant that I took about ¼” off the inside of the bracket all the way around. Also, the harness is soldered on the OEM tweeters and the kit did not come with harnesses for replacement NVX NSP35s so I had to unsolder then reuse the OEM harness. After everything was installed, the speakers worked great. Time will tell if they are the quality they look to be. Overall, I am pleased with the kit and I don’t mind cutting and modifying the kit to fit but I feel like the description was not completely honest as this was not simply plug and play. I would recommend this kit, just be forwarded about the modifications needed.

Great factory speaker upgrade for 4th gen Camaro / Firebird

I purchased mine to replace the front speakers on a 2000 Z28 with factory Monsoon head unit. The ease of installation and quality sound even with the low powered factory radio is fantastic. I also like that they will continue to work even better with an upgraded stereo gives me room to grow.
Sound review. The sound is excellent thru the mid bass range and highs are smooth and natural, not harsh with the silk tweeter. So mids are full and highs are smooth and not harsh. Very pleasant. I will be adding a small 8" subwoofer bass tube to get the full range. But I'm extremely happy with the performance of these speakers being run off the factory Delco stereo. I highly recommend these for adult drivers like myself who like to listen to a wide variety of music styles. Very Happy!!!

Best bang for the buck!

I purchased these to replace the flat sounding JBL green edge speakers in my 14 highlanders. They definitely help bring the sound stage to life. I was torn between the jbl club 3020 (gx328 or whatever jbl is currently manufacturing). I opted for the NVX NSP first for the price point. I'm actually glad I did. The silk dome tweeter adds just enough high end without being too harsh. My previous vehicle had infinity kappa components with a textile dome, ear-piercing loud.

Vocals are more detailed and we'll round. The best way I can describe the sound is that it feels closer to the listener.

A few notes about the speakers, the sensitivity isn't as high as my factory speaker so I have to increase the volume on the head unit higher and tune down the bass on the head unit to balance out the db difference.

The speakers don't quite fit under the factory speaker covers; a little bit of massage I was able to make them fit, but the grills aren't 100% flush like a factory, but close.

Other than these 2 minor issues the speakers are a great buy for a factory replacement/upgrade. I did not install with bass blockers, although I have them ready the speakers are handling the wattage without issue.

Overall: I'm very happy with the quality especially for the price point.

I replaced the stock Alpine speakers in my 2014 Ram 1500 Sport recently. I picked up a few sets of these to use for the 6x9 door speakers front and rear.

These do NOT fit the 3.5" dash speakers, for those you will need to locate the Metra 71-039C adapters...not available from Sonic sadly.

The connectors work as expected, fit well and are exactly what you expect/need. Metra has always been my go to for car audio install products.

I bought these for my 02 Camry. They came very late and although they are supposed to fit according to the Sonic guide, it's not even close. These are monsters compared to my JBL factory speakers. My dash grills are an inch away from snapping back into place.

Quality is awesome for the price but their useless to me so I sold them to avoid paying the return shipping. If they'll fit YOUR car, buy them! You won't be disappointed.

Solid coaxials

Been running these for a few weeks and so far I'm impressed. Running them with my Alpine MRP-F300 for rear fill and they can pack a very decent bass punch when tuned to Bass EQ on the amp. Better than the Kicker 3.5 speakes

I had the Kicker 3.5 speakers in my dash and after awhile decided to change them. I picked the NVX 3.5's after reading reviews and watching youtube reviews on NVX speakers. As soon as I installed them and started listening to them I could hear that they were much better than the Kicker speakers. I could hear the imaging, the clarity, and the volume of the NVX's were much better than the Kicker speakers. I also have the NVX VSPTW 1" inch tweeters in the sails of my pickup. When I am listening to some of the songs or soundtracks, it sounds like I am in a concert hall. These speakers combined with my the NVX silk tweeters sound excellent. I would like to see Sonic do a sound test with some of the higher priced 3.5 speakers. (BUY THEM YOU WILL LOVE THE WAY THEY SOUND)

Got these to fill in the spots on my dash speakers in a 2016 RAV4 and let me tell you they are a night and day difference over the stock speakers! Much brighter highs and better tone!

I would recommend this product. The voicing on this tweeter sounds natural. Just make sure to have sufficient power from your head unit. My only issue when installing is that the tweeter tower protrudes. So be aware that you may have challenges when replacing the dash cover as it may not flush properly. Otherwise, they're great speakers!

Excellent speakers with smooth silk domes.

Replaced the 3 mod-tweeters in my 2019 Ram with these speakers.
Much more definition, clarity and smoothness than the factory speakers and the haven't even broken in yet.
Less efficient than factory, but that was expected.
I've owned up to Hybrid Audio Legatia. These speakers are a bargain. The speakers are not on the level of the HATS but they are closed to those than they are to the factory speakers.
Also put in the NSX 6x9s in the doors. Big improvement.

I was pleasantly surprised with the build quality upon opening the box, and even more so surprised when I installed them. They sound fantastic. The nuances in the music come through clear as day. I have these installed in the front dash corners of a 2016 Mazda6. They replaced the abysmal tweeters Mazda slapped in there. I highly recommend these speakers. I’d buy more NVX speakers in the future.

These little guys had exactly the sound combination I was looking for. The mids and highs are very nicely balanced. The silk done tweeters are really nice and clear and not raspy or super hi pitched like metal tweeters. Also the mounting depth worked out perfectly for my application and was one of the shallowest I could find. This is my 3rd nvx item I've bought and haven't been disappointed yet.

Surprisingly impressed!

These NVX speakers were purchased to replace a blown Infinity set which cost 4 times more. They are well built, but without all the flashy frills of higher priced speakers. The sound these things put out is just amazing (regardless of cost). Ultra clear and smooth, and the silk tweeter does a fantastic job with the high frequency details. I would absolutely say I prefer the sound of the NVX over the much higher priced Infinity's. I'm looking forward to trying more NVX products in the future!

bought these to fit the dash locations on a 2006 chrysler 300 and coupled with 2 sets of vsp 6x9. they are loud and clear and can be heard clearly mixed in with the 6x9 and two 10 vcws in the trunk. add great detail in the upper mids and highs. i have bass blockers on them crossed over at 1200 hz and they sound great!!! running them off a pioneer gm-d1004 amp getting bout 80 watts a speaker in bridge mode. nvx makes great products. believe that.

Doesn't fit dash speakers

Found out the hard way after purchasing 3 pairs of these for the dash, doors, and rear speakers.

The dash are different.

Ended up running my own speaker wire, but this would work fine for the doors and rear if you just wanted to upgrade speakers and use stock wiring.

I set the HP frequency at 350 hz and up, hooked them up to a RF punch 4 channel amp putting out 100 RMS watts at 4 ohms, gain at 2/3 rds. I bought these dash speakers to go in my 2013 Hyundai Sonata and even though I had to modify the speakers to fit by cutting the mounting brackets it was totally worth it. They are very clean and crisp on the highs and the the mid range adds another layer of sound that is icing on the cake. NVX makes really good speakers. I was hesitant because of their lack of Legacy. Forget about legacy and history, this speaker company is well on their way to building one. Buy these speakers if you are shopping for them . I did install bass blockers, these speakers are not meant to produce meaningful bass so keep that in mind.
