Great budget speaker

I put these in the front doors and some NVX 6x9s in the rear deck on a Cobalt to replace blown factory speakers. They were just running off the (extremely weak) factory GM radio.
I was very, very impressed with their performance for a budget speaker. The tweeters were bright without being too harsh, and the bass response was unreal for the tiny amount of power they were getting from the headunit. Now, they didn't slam like subs or anything, but it was solid bass.

Great cheap speakers

I just installed these and I'm quite impressed. Clean highs that aren't overpowering, decent mids and much better bass than my stock speakers without distorting. I don't have them amped, I'm just running them off a JVC headunit but they still sound phenomenal with very little distortion at high volumes. I'll definitely be trying out other products from nvx.

NVX 6.5" coax speakers

For the price, you are not going to get a better replacement or entry level speaker. Good sound though they do not come with speaker grills/covers so consider that, should you need them for your specific application.

Awesome Entry Level Option!

I put a set of these in my access doors in my Frontier a few months ago and love them. I have the 6x9 version in the front doors and am powering them with a MTX 4 channel at 55x4. The mids and highs are crystal clear and smooth. I prefer the silk tweeter on these to other options that have a more shrill or harsh sound to them. Can't speak to the way they sound on deck power or the bass response as they are running on a high pass crossover through the amp. I highly recommend them and the combo pack with a set of these and a set of the 6x9's is what I did. Phenomenal package deal for the value of these speakers.

Excellent 6x9

I bought these for an old project car I was fixing up and the price was more of a concern than absolute sound quality. I picked these based on the reviews and the value. I had never heard of NVX but figured I would give them a shot. I must say I am pleasantly surprised by the tonal quality of these speakers. Especially at this price point, these speakers really deliver. Not overly bright and voices are clear and present. The bass response could be better, but then again I don't have them in a sealed enclosure. I think most will be very happy with these, even compared with speakers costing double.

I'm not going to brag about how loud my system is and how the mids and highs keep up but I will say for what these are they are a clean sound for the price weather there ran of deck power or a little 2 channel definetly not a bad buy

Excellent Entry Level Option

I got this pair to put in the front doors of my Frontier with a set of the same in the 6.5 version for the rear access doors. I'm running them on a MTX 4 channel at 55x4 so I can't speak to how they do on deck power. These are much better than the entry level Pioneer's I had in my last truck! The tweeter is softer and not as shrill or harsh which I prefer. The vocals and midrange clarity is nice and with my sub handling the lows I can't speak to the bass response as these are on a high pass crossover. They blend very well with my bass response from the sub and I'm very happy with them. I snatched them on a promo sale as a set (1 pair 6x9, 1 pair 6.5) and am glad I did.

I have these in the rear of my 2008 Town & Country powered by my NVX JAD900.5! They get loud with no distortion! They sound awesome with my XQW104! I also have the NSP4's in my dash on factory HU power... NICE! When I find time, I'll be installing my VSP69's in my doors and powering them with my JAD900.5 as well! Next will be some NSP4's or maybe 5 1/4's off the HU in the rear "pillars?", I guess they'd be "pillars", LOL! Anyway, I'm hooked! Everything NVX produces is quality! NVX... Second to None!!!

I was looking for a replacement set of speakers for my car. Let me just say I am indecisive when it comes to things. I have done months of research before actually hearing about this brand. I was referred to by a friend of mine. Needless to say I am thankful I took his advice!

For the installation, I elected not to get the wiring adapters because I plan on running my own wire for when I add an amp to my set up later on down the road. These were a direct drop in replacement to my current speakers in my 2013 Dodge Dart.

Now for the sound, AMAZING! My stock speakers were terrible. Everything sounded like there was static in them. With these everything is crisp and clear! At first the bass was alright, after using them for a bit ("burn-in time") the bass is A LOT better. Nice and punchy. Keep in mind I still have the stock head unit and no amp.

I am extremely happy with these and will recommend them for anyone who needs a budget friendly replacement. If you are having a hard time deciding get these. You will not be disappointed!

i would highly recommend these speakers to anyone. excellent range all the way down to 40hz in a properly deadened door. they do not need much power to really scream. install them correctly and put clean power on them and you will not be disappointed. I use NVX speakers in all of my personal builds. Awesome value too!

Great sounding at a Great price

I have 2 sets of these in my Avenger and they sound great.. I have NVX subwoofers in my car and decided to try these out and I'm very glad I did. AMAZING SOUND AT A GREAT PRICE.... I've had eclipse , Polk audio , infinity and a couple other top brands in the past and can tell you these hang with them if not surpass them. These were part of my first purchase of nvx products and they were amazing. straight off deck power these sounded loud and clear. the deck was a kenwood kdc-x300 and it has a ton of tuning features such as 13 band eq and multiple crossover points speakers size selectors etc etc (reason i bought the deck) and it made these sound amazing. can only imagine the sound off a amp doing 40 to 60 rms. as i said was my first purchase of nvx products and paired them with same model of 4" speakers. since then i have been using the v series speakers and vcw subs. all sounds amazing and handle power really well. highly recommended.

Update on previous review

So before I complained that the bass was a bit lacking on these - I withdraw this statement. With the addition of amp and head unit, these babies can sing to thier full potential, which is substantial. Compared to Clarion 1623S components, these have very rich bass - it won't go to 20 hz, but 70 hz as rated is I'd say where the frequency response *starts* to drop off, you can definitely get deeper that out of these, maybe just less intense than above 70 hz, but with some playing with the equalizer you can get a lot of that back. I find myself sending more fader signal to the back to get the bass output out of these that's missing up front. Overall, I highly recommend for the price.

I have owned several 6x9s, mostly Pioneer and a Boss Pair as well, and these are much better than them. The sound production is crisp and live without being harsh, and can produce lots of sound. I love 6x9s for their ability to produce depth of vocals and pick up midbass well. These are excellent and I am very satisfied with them. They do not have alot of bass, so if you are looking for them to be your only source of Bass, you might want to get one of NVX's higher models. Overall outstanding product, NVX has certainly made a name for itself even though it is a newer brand.

I ordered these for a family member for Christmas for her Jeep Grand Cherokee. These in the back doors off of the factory Infinity system amp, and the 6x9 version running off of JVC deck power(factory amp only allowed low pass to front doors). Good definition, a little light on lower bass

These were a significant improvement over the OEM speakers in my 2015 Elantra base model. The mids and highs are clear, and not tinny. Naturally, I don't expect these to have full bass of a sub, and the mid-bass is good, but it doesn't seem to reach some of the deeper bass I'd like. Keep in mind of course that these are not expensive speakers. Can't speak to the durability, but so far so good.

Great speakers for the money, especially if you have a new hyundai. These as a replacement speaker will blow the stock ones away.

Sound good but...

Off of factory power they have a great sound. The only issue I had is with the mounting hardware. When trying to use the screws that came with them to attach the mounting bracket the screw heads on 3 screws twisted right off. Still a 5-star product in my opinion.

Great Speakers

Bought these for my daughter's 2000 Camry to compliment the rest of system which include 6.5 and tweeters from MB Quart. These speakers are great hooked to her MB Quart amp. Better than I thought

The rear speakers in my car were something I couldn't bear to listen to anymore. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, but at the same time wanted a speaker that would satisfy my musical taste. I think more power would bring out the bass more but they are perfect for a factory replacement. I would recommend these to anyone. Better if ran off an amp that gives them the power they need but if running a sub and can keep bass low then they will work fine. Most aftermarket headunits/cd players only put out 15-20w rms, despite the box says 4x4 or 50x4. That is max power not rms. Google search rms power to understand what it means.

Great factory speaker upgrade for 4th gen Camaro / Firebird

I purchased mine to replace the front speakers on a 2000 Z28 with factory Monsoon head unit. The ease of installation and quality sound even with the low powered factory radio is fantastic. I also like that they will continue to work even better with an upgraded stereo gives me room to grow.
Sound review. The sound is excellent thru the mid bass range and highs are smooth and natural, not harsh with the silk tweeter. So mids are full and highs are smooth and not harsh. Very pleasant. I will be adding a small 8" subwoofer bass tube to get the full range. But I'm extremely happy with the performance of these speakers being run off the factory Delco stereo. I highly recommend these for adult drivers like myself who like to listen to a wide variety of music styles. Very Happy!!!

Solid coaxials

Been running these for a few weeks and so far I'm impressed. Running them with my Alpine MRP-F300 for rear fill and they can pack a very decent bass punch when tuned to Bass EQ on the amp. Upgraded old speakers in my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Perfect fit and wiring adapters fit the OEM plug. Only have had them installed for one day so far but they sound great. Nice improvement over the stock speakers for a reasonable price.

Quality Speakers!

Replaced the blown factories in an 08 Dodge Ram with these. Fit, quality, and sound are great! Bypassed the factory amp to get the full range from the tweeters and they sound as good as any high end speakers I've ever purchased!. Planning on getting a NVX amp to run them in the future to really wake them up.
