NVX XKIT42

This is the perfect kit for anything around 1000 watts RMS. I have it hooked to a NVX JAD1200.1, and it is perfect. I literally have nothing bad to say about this kit. Every wire is true to gauge and it comes with plenty of wire, even 40ft of speaker wire! The RCA works great and the wires are strong and flexible. It'd be nice if it was a little cheaper, but it's definitely worth it. NVX makes some of the best, high quality wires and instillation equipment.

this has to be the best connection kit I have ever used.. everything was flawlessly constructed and everything you need is in the kit, remember you get what you pay for... I am using this in a small suv that has no carpet but herculiner throughout and I need pure copper for corrosion resistance.. could be cheaper I guess..

Best wiring overall

when i received this and opened it up i was amazed when i saw how a 4ga. wire could look so much like 0ga. and bend so easily. the speaker wire is so thick that you would not believe that it is speaker wire. the wires also make your music sound so much clearer than any other wiring can. all the components are the best in quality.

Not your average amp kit.

If you're picking up a bad*ss amp, why wouldn't you pick up a PROPER wiring kit ?!
I've previously used NVX Power/Ground wire for a BIG 3 Upgrade install, and was blown away by the Quality of the wire. High Strand, True To Spec, Super Flexible, Very Durable, and Conducts Very Well. Same can be said for the Speaker Wire and RCAs. I wish NVX made a kit with their higher end RCA cables, but the ones with this kit definitely get the job done. The fact that the Power/Ground come Crimped and Shrink Wrapped really save on install time, and the flex wrap on the Power Wire makes the install look Very professional. I ended up using the other goodies (ties and connectors) for various other things, but its pretty cool that it comes with the kit.

Heavy Duty!

I would recommend this product for the guy's out there that are serious about their music. If you got good, high quality subs, then this box will make them perform to your sub's max output with out worry of blowing up your box.

Love this kit

Great true 4 gauge wire kit. Both power/ground cables are flexible easy to work with, rca calbe is great. This kit comes with everything you need for an amp install. I will be using NVX amp kits for now on future installs.

The Box that Rocks

Appears to be fairly well built. Arrived with a little dent and a tear but its too little to bother with. Sounds nice but doesn't hit as deep as I would have liked. Small size however, leaves me some room for a couple of bags of groceries. Three stars for durability since I've only owned this for about a month.

Amazing Enclosure, Even Better Price.

Fast and easy great buy

I got my complete set up: 12" kicker subs box 1000watt Mbquart amp and amp kit. I have always installed my own equipment, I found it helpful that they have videos that covered some of the product they carry. There are a few shop's in Texas like Best buy and Custom Sounds that offer equipment. But the professionalism of the knowledgeable staff the price and the reliability made it clear that I wanted to do business with them.

Cant beat the price. But it is really very good box. I put two 12" hifonic,also bought from here, with a 2 channel 1000 watt amp.It really shook my rearview mirror in my '97 towncar. My brother loved it so we put it in his '92 prelude.Wow!!! You can hear him before you see him. Great buy!!!

Its a box

have kicker 12, they sound alright have some loose paneling in my car, so I'm having trouble getting the clarity I want. over all its a box and it works.

At first, I was a little skeptical of NVX products, but I must say this kit feels very solid. The wire gauge is true to size and actually bigger when compared to my Stinger brand wire I've previously used. The wire is extremely flexible as well, making installation in tight places a breeze. You get everything needed to install a single amp in this kit. Don't let the name scare you away, give it a try!

Works as expected

The amp is working as expected nice power and it offers the ability to adjust gain and cut off which is helpful when trying to tune the system.
Build quality is poor this due to my amp arriving with both adjustment knobs pushed in a bent.
This did not happen in shipping (as the amp was well packed) so it was in the build and as such this should not have passed QC at the factory.

Sonic requested photos which I sent but did not peruse the issue as the damage did not affect the amps performance and circumstances (I was out of the country and the car was at the installers) prevented me from returning the amp for a replacement.

It was not Sonics fault as the amp was sealed but they are the seller so the responsibility lays with them.

I have this box with 2 kickers 12 in back of a Nissan altima and they soundgreat. Would recommend to anyone and would definitely buy again. Sonic electronix is the best

Best Amplifier Kit

I take my chance when I ordered this kit. I almost spend over $100 on brand name kit. I'm glad I did bought this kit. Don't let this brand scared you. When I opened the package and saw the power cable, I know I made the right choice. The power cable is a true 4 gauge. The speaker cable ,you have enough to run both right and left from front door to the trunk and still have some left. RCA cable may look cheap but so far the signal from my head unit to the amplifier is excellent without any distortion. I love everything on this kit. Buy them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered this for 2 crunch gpv's about six months ago because I didn't have the tools to properly build my own box. After six months this box is still holding up and works perfect with my subs.

Awesome "BANG" for your buck

I am on a budget, like most of us. I needed a nice looking box for a reasonable price. For $52.00 you can't beat it.
I loaded my 2 12" Alpine TypeS subwoofers in it. Mounted my amp to the back and they are still going strong.

Sweet Deal

When i purchased my amplifier they gave me a butt load off the purchase price of this wiring pack.
Pro's: good quality wire very flexible and easy to work with.
Con's: Needs more wire Connectors/Terminals with kit ( that are the right size) Ex: 4 gage wire doesn't usually fit into a 6 guage wire terminal/connector.

I did lots of research before i spent my hard earned money , and this amp is more than expected it has lots of power running it @ 2 ohm and it delivers every watt that it says and then some . I would say if you need some major power look no further because this amp is awesome .

Wiring kit is really great! Delivers good power and isnt made with a cheap plastic isolation but with a nice flexible rubber isolation. Best wiring kit i had so far and i would buy it again if i sell my car because really....this wiring kit makes me one happy customer.

Solid Box

Ok so I bought this box because I wanted a quick sealed enclosure for my 2 JL W3's. The box is made pretty solid, true 3/4 MDF but the caulk job on the inside was kind of off but that's nitpicking. Haha after 3 weeks though of pushing my W3s the top of the box is leaking air. So not the best made but definitely a good pre fab and pretty cheap. Can't really complain. It is nailed together tho so yea..

It's a box without a hole

Solid sealed enclosure. Two of them barely fit in the back of my 02 Focus SVT 3 door. The binding posts are cheap, I tightened them as I would other posts but one out of eight wouldn't tighten because the thread tolerance is poor and it acts like its stripped, I can get some pressure on the wire but I worry it will come loose. Probably worth spending a little more money on a better enclosure but it works fine if you're on a budget.

very good sub box

The box is very good at 1.25 cubic feet. I'm running 2 12's with 800 watts rms and it hasn't shattered. Wish it was 1.35 cubic to accommodate for subwoofer basket displacement but it still makes makes subs hit ridiculously hard. Polyfill helps make the box seem bigger due to mechanics and the "Q" point. I really couldn't be happier!

Great kit.

Bought this kit to run 1000 rms, some high grade power wire, very flexible, the terminations are perfect, came with lots of speaker wire... only bad thing I can say about this it the interconnect RCA cable came damaged... and the plugs on it feel really cheap, the insulation by one of the plugs was broken, just the outer jacket the inner insulation was fine, but it broke in an area where there would be high tension, right against the connector. all in all great kit for just the wires appears to be true to set and ofc, fuse holder was nice as well, just RCA was junk...

Lots of power

This thing has plenty of power when testing the rms power in 2ohm it goes beyond 750rms it reaches a solid 785rms with good 4 gauge power cable that is also nvx. I definitely recommend this amplifier.

quality product

This enclosure is a well built enclosure for sq applications. I purchaced to house 2 CV vmax 122 drivers and the sound quality was almost rubbery? not tinny, never a crackle....fluid almost..... call it a well dampened sound with minimal distortion. just clean bass all the way into the 20s. made sounds i diddnt know existed. if you dont care how your music sounds and just looking for loud, look elsewhere. my only complaint, 11" cutout is too small for the vmax and the black carpet is difficult to follow a line with the router.

i have 2- 12 inch Memphis audio 15-M3124D's in this box each putting out 2000 watts max hooked up to a MA audio HK10KA amp rated at 10,000 watts max. i have the subs bridged and it has way too much power going to them but the box still stands up. i would recommend that when you install your subs that you put some sort of foam stripping underneath the lip so when you screw it down you wont have and leaks at all.

Its cheap, in price. Yeah, we see that. But let your worries go to rest, this is a GREAT BOX. Its well made, and put together great. Although they did use nails instead of screws, if you know what your doing, it won't slow you down. I have 2 12" Kickers in this baby, and pounds like a mofo.

Good little amp on kicker Q Class.

Put this amp on a 10” round kicker Q Class in a jeep. My Jeep never has doors on it so I wanted something cheap incase of water intrusion or theft. Have a brand new kicker 800 watt amp in my car. I Am serious about car audio. I have built systems in at least 9 of my own vehicles since I was a boy. I am 38 now. I Can’t tell a difference in the power. I would say this amp will suffice for 90% of car audio builds. Will look at this brand again in future.

A little trouble at first...

The whole was no the size it said it was. I happen to be a part-time handy man so I had a circular sander and was able to make the whoel bigger. Took about an extra 20 mins of work to mount the subs, but overall everythign worked out. No complaints about box. It is doing it's thing!

good cheap starter box

i bought this box about a year ago for 2 of my infinity reference 1260w subwoofers. I have two more in a ported box. im pushing 350w to all 4 and I have to say I like this box more than the ported. you feel it more in the sealed box but lose a little on the db's but its worth it. the box is sturdy and hasn't showed wear a bit. its tuned in the lower 40's so you wont get stupid low with it but can get loud. I would recommend it to anyone on a budget or to lazy to build their own box. it comes with polyfill which is a bonus, the terminals on the back need calked but that's with about any box you buy. overall I like it and would buy again if I had to.

Installed this weekend, I did add a couple pounds of "pillow stuffing" since the box was a tad smaller then what I needed. I have noticed some flex already but im not suprised with the subs that are in it. I will add triangle shaped gussets and some "trim screw" to try and hold things together.

A sheet of real MDF (not the cheap underlayment) is $32, carpet and glue around $15 so for what they want for this its a good deal that just needs some minor tweaks.

Not much else to say besides great product. Shipped in only 3 days, and the pre-done polyfill is a great touch. My only comlaint would be that my car smelled like glue for a few days after I put this box in, but that's just nit-picking. Will definitely order boxes from Sonic in the future!

Sub Enclosure Review

Perfect size to fit my Infinity subs. Wish it came with mounting feet but can't ask for everything. Quality is legit for the price. Just your average rectangular box. Fit in the trunk of my 240sx which is pretty small.

GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!

This box looked great and felt very durable. My subwoofers wouldnt fit at first so I had to do some shaving, NO PROB. It sounded good for awhile and I loved it. After about two weeks, it lost its sound, went to check out the problem the whole front of the box had almost came off, Box was sealed very well, too bad they used nails instead of screws, would have been a very good box.

NVX for the win..

NVX Tweeters, Midbass and now the Subs, I believe NVX is firmly committed to SQ and offers a great product for a tremendous value. This subwoofer is their 2nd Generation and has the non-pressed paper cone, i spoke with NVX why they switched from Polypropylene to Paper and he told me lot's of reasons but mainly SQ and after listening to the subs for an extended session i have to agree that they sound fantastic in a 3.2 cu ft vented enclosure with 50 oz of polyfill, i can't imagine the SQ getting much better than it is right now and close to 130 db's is plenty loud for me, my ears are still ringing..
Each sub is wired in series for a 4 ohms then both subs are paralleled for a 2 ohm final load impedance on a 500 Wrms channel, they pound the ground and shake my entire full size van, much louder than the MTX Terminators that were replaced and i had to cut the bass knob back..
I highly recommend these subwoofers, the 1st Gen subs got lots of 5 star reviews and once people catch on to the 2nd Gen they will too, am extremely happy with my purchase and have nothing but good things to say for the NVX Brand speakers and subwoofers..
NVX for the win, the VSW122V2 is probably one of the best under $70 subwoofers on the market and i wouldn't hesitate to use any of their products..

Great box

This is a great box. I prefer ported but my trunk is too small for it so I had to go with sealed. I'm still happy though. This had the perfect size for my 12s. Also the measurements are a little off. The box is a little bigger that the description said.

This is a great sub woofer box for the price it is heavy 41 pounds and it is sturdy. I have 2 12 kickers 600 rms 1500 peak and they sound great in this box hits lows and highs hard. I would say to any one buy it.

had to trim the 12" hole for my Sound stream PCO.12 subs they wouldn't fit at all. once I trimmed the MDF I love this box. they could have used spring term instead of screw though.

I replaced my old box with this 1 & man what a difference. My old box was 11 years old & I didn't realize it was falling apart & with this new box I noticed an instant difference. Its a great box for the price, it holds firm & can handle the full pressure of 1100 RMS

I did have to spray a little adhesive inside for 1 part of the foam & terminals were screwed in & not exactly straight & I also had to poke holes in the foam for wires but these things are no problem. The box is awesome & I will by more in the future

This is an awesome enclosure. The price is very competitive as well. I am running 2 Rockford Fosgate R2D2-12 and there is no distortion at all. It is a very tight, clear sound. I highly recommended for anyone looking for a high quality low cost setup.

Good Sub Box

I like it, I think the covering looked good but I ended up messing it up trying to screw something into the outside. Otherwise i liked the box, my subs hit good in it.

best box 4 the buck

Don't let the skimpy price fool you. This box is made very well and it's ready to go. The joints are already caulked and glued - so there is nothing more to do than mount you speaker.

It's not MDF(medium density fiberboard) like all the others, it is made from HDF; high density fiberboard. HDF boxes are typically stronger, stiffer, and lighter than MDF enclosures. The box does not require any additional bracing because of its density. It has a high an undetectable high frequency resonance and doesn't color the sound of your bass with unwanted buzzing or flexing. The HDF box is lighter than MDF because it has smaller fibers that when pressed and heated require less glue and resin to bind the fibers together.

The speaker terminals are screw type gold plated binding posts that will hold 12 g speaker wire easily. They screw into the enclosure for added strength and a tighter seal.

Just make sure that you do your math and pick the right sub for the cubic feet and stuff with poly fiber fill.

Extremely well built

Insanely well built box.

Carpet job is top notch, Good quality carpet stretched perfectly over the box. All joints are glued and caulked well. theres no need for extra bracing here but you may add some 2x4's to reduce the airspace if needed. The gold push terminals are well sealed in place.

Hits low and hard with all sub's I've thrown at it (JL Audio 12W04's, Rockford Fosgate P312D4's, Kicker CVX12's and finally Alpine SWX-1242D's)

Don't be afraid of the price. It's a perfect price for a box of this caliber. Would recommend it to anyone.

Tuff Stuff

Nice heavy, good sounding box. I would reccomend putting some polyfil to "cushion" the backfire of the subwoofer, really helps w/any sealed box and totally makes a valuable difference considering it only costs about 5-10$ more. The box itself is well sealed and well made, the connectors on the inside and out are really easy to use and once connected your wires will stay put.

Your basic sealed box

Great box. Quality carpet job, all seams sealed correctly and well, and the terminals are strong and functional. Perfect basic box to make two twelve's hit perfectly. Just remember this is a sealed box, so it will have a differnet sound than that of a ported or bandpass box, but if u want a tighter hitting bass, this box if perfect.

I bought this box for some Rockford Fosgate P1's and I couldn't be happier. The box is solid and produces some really good sound in my Audi.

Nvx is a great company would recommend them to anyone doing pro setup of ameture. The cord is not a cheap piece of garbage like eBay kits but is actually true size and has great install hardware as well. Hooked up 2 of these to my 1000 W RMS amp with the gain turned down while I break them in. Sonic got them to me right on schedule, and they sound great so far. Dual voice coils are a great feature and I can see the quality built into these subs. Using a sealed box with recommended volume of 1.25 cu.ft. per chamber during break in, so far I don't think I will need to move them to a ported box after they loosen up. Great SQ at this power level, nice subs at this price point.

Solid choice

I put one of these in a 1.25cuft box in my accord on an mrv-m500 wired to 4ohms and tune the amp to put out 300tms with my multimeter. Gotta say; at only 300 watts this is pretty impressive. Still fairly tight for a 12" but plenty of bottom end for what I usually listen to. I'm planning another build but two of these next.

All you need for most installs

Comes with everything you need for most installs. Sheilding and core quality is head and shoulders above most top name brands and even cheaper in price.

Solid gear

This sub met my needs perfectly. I needed a low cost high quality driver with reasonable efficiency. I also needed to be under 5 inches top Mount depth. It fit my truck box for the tundra crewmax behind the rear seat perfectly and gave me plenty of clean bass. Only time will tell if it can handle the abuse to come. I'm using a rockville rxa t1 to power it. It's a great match. Cea compliant to match the sub and pushes it to the limit as well.

Amp Install Kit

Not much to say about this. The wire is extremely flexible and its true 4 awg copper wire. The only thing I don't like is the speaker wire is hard to strip if your not using a knife. I got a good deal with a nvx bda750.1 with this wire. I highly recommend that amp if your on a budget.

Great entry-level subs for the price!

I purchased these last November as a black friday special after a fitment issue with the pioneer champion series that came with the bundle( I know right?). The customer service rep spoke highly of her brand and I went with his recommendation for these NVX'23r hrs. I installed them into a nice 2 sub ported Belva box with 1.75 cubic ft per sub tuned at 40hz. Wired them in parallel 380 watts @ 2 ohms to my NVX JAD900.5. I broke them in out of the box with a single tone generator because I wanted to bang asap. They sounded great in the trunk of my Monte Carlo for months. I then put them into my Mazda 3 hatchback faced upward using the same amp.* I thought one of the subs blew because of it making a terrible rattle and only ran one sub 210 watts @ 4 ohms. After 3 months of only one sub, I found out that the dust cap came unglued. The cone was still nice and glued, so I bought some clear speaker adhesive and fixed my issue. Got both of them hooked back up and forgot how loud both of them were together. I really enjoyed my time with just one sub because it didn't bang as hard and fell in love with the sound quality. I play all sorts of genres from rap, EDM, dubstep, house, metal,to alternative. They can play anything I throw at them and do it accurately. A bunch of expensive name brand subs aren't even capable of going below 28hz and these go all the way to 20hz. While it may not produce those low notes loudly, their presence is there and can be heard clearly. One day I'm considering putting more power to them or a higher end NVX sub one day, but these will definitely put a smile on your face, even with only 200 watts each. Go ahead and get at least 2 of them. You know you want to!

I'm removing one star for the dust cap coming unglued. Everything is working great since I glued it back.

Ok fair warning these subs will kill your box if it is weak. Tuned my amp at 800w rms 400/woofer at Max volume. At 60% volume about 300w each. Very clear sound very nice low resonance. In my Sierra box choices are limited so I went with the generic box with about 2 ft cubed total. After about 3 weeks or so I started to hear a rattle and thought I burnt a coil or messed up a spider. Nope....I split my box at the seams. If you get these subs, take some of the money you save and invest in a strong box. They slam hard. Not loud but very clear and very hard. Definitely looking at putting a set in my wife's car.

I use to use Rockford amp install kits but went with NVX because I liked a few things better about the kit especially price. Easily the best Amp kit Ive ever used. Everything you could need to install an amp is included and the 4 gauge wire is the most flexible wire Ive seen. Very easy to install the kit because of how easy you can bend the wire. I’ll never buy another brand again.

Best RCA in a kit ever!

Most RCA cables in these kits are bottom of the barrel, cheap crap. I work with precision calibration equipment and measured the capacitance of the RCA and both channels with a 1693 RLC digi-bridge (traceable to NIST) and they came out to about 25-26 pF per foot! I bought the standalone X-series RCAs from NVX and these were also 25pF. I'm convinced NVX doesn't sell a single bad cable or accessory.

The kit came with numerous adapters for mounting the cables to power and ground sources and even some quick disconnects. Highly recommend this kit!

A very well-built and nicely carpeted sub box, that looks great, and should prove to be very durable, as it is constructed with 3/4" MDF instead of thinner material of many other boxes costing more than this.

The black carpet makes more of an impact than the typical gray carpet, and the 5-way binding posts are much higher quality than the typical plastic spring connections normally found on sub boxes.

Very happy with this purchase, and would absolutely consider another should it fit my needs of enclosure volume. (It's not worth the extra time/effort to make a custom box, when this does the job just as well, and comes pre-lined with poly-filled and pre-carpeted)

Sturdy enclosure

This is a very well constructed box, well sealed and solid. However, mine arrived new in the box and every corner had the carpet worn off and bare wood showing. Also, mine was not lined with poly-fil and the terminal cups were on the sides rather than in the back as it appears in photos- no biggy but that did influence my decision as my install would have been a little "cleaner". All in all it sounds great and seems extremely durable.

Great subs for the price

I bought 2 of these, put them in a 1 cubic foot per chamber sealed box with a pound of fill per chamber, wired at 2 ohms to a kicker cx600.1 and they sound great. Extremely clean and tight bass. They replaced 2 of the older alpine type s's that blew. They're not quite as loud but they sound cleaner and punchier. Also the alpine's were in a ported box, I think if I had these in a ported box they would be about the same. As for durability I've had them for about 3 weeks now I think, running just below clipping from the amp, for atleast an hour drive everyday and seem to be good and getting a little louder as they break in. I think the look and design are great. They look awesome in the box in the trunk, not too flashy but look like solid quality. Overall for the price these are a great buy. Would definitely recommend these for anyone on a budget like me looking to add some bass. And as always sonic delivered fast and packaged well with great prices, love the company, will be buying all my audio equipment from here.

I have been out of car audio for 20 years. All the basic principles still apply. These subs sound pretty good for the money they are a steal. I have them in a tight box poly filled with 325 rms. They hit as tight as 10s and still hit the lows fairly well. I’m guessing that the 1.25 or a little bigger would really bring them alive. I think with them in a little tighter box they could use 500 rms. No complaints the more they break in the better they sound.

This is my first class D amp as I have always had class AB for m subs. Wow! Pretty sweet amp. I needed some power go my Alpine type R 12d4 and this really does the trick. I haven't noticed any issues so far with getting hot or taking a toll on my electrical system. It pushes the Toe R like I hoped it would. I don't have anything bad to say. I have 2 of these in a dual ported box running off the bda7501 amp and it is the perfect combo for what I am running. I was very impressed with sound when first installed each time I listen to them I have to dial back the bass remote because the bass hits so hard I think I'm going to blow a sub. This was already the best deal for a 3/4" MDF dual enclosure I could find, everything else in this range is 5/8".

For the price I wasn't expecting much.
However When it arrived found it is of good build quality, with decent carpet.

They already lined the inside with polyfil, more added value.

Then to top it off, found it has really nice gold plated screw type wire terminals. Better connection and added peace of mind that connections will not come undone.

This is probably the best deal/value on the internet for a dual 12 enclosure. Probably why it's backordered at time of this review.

Bit of a disapointment

Dont get me wrong if your lookin for a clear sounding sub, then this sub is perfect. However i was expecting more of a boom, most music i play i can not tell i even have a sub.! Of course though if the song has low end bass it sounds ok.

Only thing I didn’t like was the power wire connector was too small to fit on my positive battery terminal. 2007 GMC Sierra classic. Just had to modify the connector and it worked just fine. Good starter.

For an entry sub, and for the price, it's pretty good. I put 2 in a custom box, tuned to the recommended he and air space for 1 sub, but the ft^3 multiplied by 2. It hits the lows good and can handle a a lot. I only have 400 watts rms to both right now but it can handle up to 700 watts rms safely! The wiring is a bit confusing, being that a dual voice coil subwpofer isn't exactly "entry level", but it's easy to learn and a guide is offered here on sonic. I'm satisfied with them so far and I would definitely recommend them to a friend and anyone looking for first time subs.

Good amp

I have this amp powering a sa-10 in a sealed box. It has no problem beating on that sub. The problem I had with it is that I had to re-glue the emblem on. I got a good deal for this amp with the nvx amp install kit.

This is a great amplifier, I did a lot of research before I bought it. These amplifiers remind me of the old School Rockford Fosgate they're underrated and give way more power than the box stats. I haven't found any cons with this amp and it powers my sundown SA12 inch sub just fine.

Good value but not durable

I bought this and it worked great at first. Power was stable and connections good. After about a year the vibrations from the bass of the subwoofer actually made the input connections break. Started to stagger connection and then it would only work if you held cables with pressure into the amp. This was unfortunate as it lasted me about 1.2 years and the warranty on this product is only 1 year.
The power was good just not happy that it broke from vibrations when it's meant to handle vibrations.

Very Great Amp

This is one of the best performing amps I've ever bought at first I was worried the last two amps I bought wasn't doing it for me and when they did they would overheat on me.
(Not trying to throw slander but some of these companies needs to be more honest with there amp ratings)

I have two pioneer champions pro's rated @600rms - @1200rms paired
and this amp is able to power them both and yea it gets warm but never
gotten as hot to the point I couldn't touch it.
(It sits in my trunk and I live in Fl)

If your new to car audio amps or your doing a budget build buy a D Class amp or make sure your amp is certified like this one... An expensive "inexpensive" lesson I learned and is still learning.

I ordered 4 12" NVX MSW and the West Coast Customs edition of the MB Quart 1500 both from sonic. All super quick deliverys and no issues...
Clear crisp bass that gets pretty loud... I'm still breaking them in a little bit. I have them in a custom box tuned low (27 hertz) it's 10 cubes... (HUGE) way larger then recommended and tuned lower then recommended.
It still sounds good... Gets pretty loud and pretty low in the back of my mustang lol
I'm upgrading big 3 and going for a bigger set up...

Ordered 2 of the NSW 122 v2 and very happy with these subs. Installed in a prefab box for my 99 Silverado ext cab and these things sound awesome! Still breaking them in, but even at lower volume they are shaking my mirrors and producing very impressive bass. For the price, you won't get a better quality subwoofer. They sound great with 1 cu ft per speaker in sealed box, and these are the "entry level" line of subwoofers from NVX. VERY IMPRESSED!

Showed up within 48 hours from ordering along with the downfiring box I ordered from Sonic, packaged well and for 13 bucks I have a 3 year warranty!!! You can't beat it.

Not so good

Had this sub in a sealed box to spec's on roughly 300 w RMS and it burnt/coils died. Yeah, don't say I did something wrong, I know better, been in this for over 35 years. It sounded ok, not very low bass but decent. Lasted about two weeks then it was off to the trash can. Once removed I installed a different 12" sub with a similar rating and it's been great. Not sure what the issues were, possible a defective sub, it can happen. I may try another NVX sub later, but as far, I'm not impressed.

I must say, this sub is WOW! completely surprised how well it's performing. Its not made for shallow boxes, but it fit good in the box I had and it is getting down. For the price, can not be beat

I have two of these wired to 4ohm in individual ported boxes and wired down to 2 ohms powered by Kicker CX600.1, the amp is certified at 668watts rms @ 2 ohms, i have my gain about 3/4 of the way, so I guesstimate they are getting 250 watts each. These subs sound great, The bass is deep and loud. I listen to rap and rock mostly. I have ordered another one for my wife's Nissan Rogue in a sealed box though. I recommend these if you are on a budget, or if you want to save some money. For this price, these subs cannot be beat.

great entry levels

Have tried these in both sealed and ported after good break in period in a 2012 civic and 94 suburban both vehicles sounded good. Recommend boxes sealed or ported to be on the high side of air space. These speakers are pretty musical with good boom for what they are. l wired series parallel on a jad1200.1. After break in, tuning, clean power, and correct box, they sound great for the price. If you go sealed do 1.25 net with 1.25lbs poly fill. I would even go to 2 cubes ported at around 37hz. The other reviews just sound like they didn't know what they were doing. Especially the one that said didn't last a week. He probably clipped the crap out of them (could be wrong) but sounds like a kid that had all his bass boosts and gain all the way up. I say this because usually if you knew a little bit of what you were doing I feel these subs will definitely last longer than a week. My cousin bought 1 off me put it in a 1.8 cu box at 38hz with a punch 400.1 prolly getn 275 watts sounds good great combo. going hard for about 8 months now and still bumpin. So if your hesitant on buying these just do everything correct and you will be happy or have a professional do it for you.

The title says it all. Ordered a pair, fed them 700w @ 2ohm, they didn't even last a full week. I didn't expect a 'game changer' when purchasing these but I did expect some form of quality. The money spent was a complete waste and to be honest I took my business elsewhere for my 'less than a week later' sub purchase. I've been a loyal sonic customer for over 5years but this one transaction may have put an end to that. These are NOT worth trying. Lots of power for the size

This was my first NVX amplifier ever. Surprised it out performed what I needed. Hooked it up to (2) 10in Kicker Comp Rs and they were knocking. Definitely want to install OFC wire on everything to get the most out of it. Clear sound even after 5 years of having it installed.

Its a decent amp. Small, doesn't get too hot. Power seems legit. The main problem with this amp is the RF interference it gives off.

Its terrible. It destroys all AM/FM signals to your antenna. Ive had several class D amps in this same car and never had issues. You get what you pay for here.

Don’t be skeptical! This is a great amp for the price! Using it to power an 8inch Vega. I went with this amp to be able to go with a more powerful sub at a later date. Does not get hot, plenty of power for the Vega, the amp is attractive and compact. I have been using for 2-3 weeks now without any issues. You will not be disappointed!
Updated - 1/3/24 - Amp is still going strong. I was powering an 8inch cerwin and a 10 inch kicker comp R. I killed the cerwin 6 months in which I figured would happen but the kicker loves it. Been running the amp at 4 ohms, no issues in 4 years, amp has never clipped, or faulted. 2016 equinox install, 4 gauge wire and ground and a 1000 watt cap. Factory head unit, with a high to low signal converter. After all this time I’m going to now go up to a single 12 kicker comp q or comp vx and run the amp a 2ohm. I will update again as needed. I have to say I love this amp it’s perfect for my set up and you can’t beat the price, this is the 5th amp I’ve owned and it’s the only one that has never given me one issue, and if it died tomorrow I got 4 years of solid performance for an amp I only paid $140 for at the time. Thank you Sonic and thank you NVX you did not disappoint!

Finally installed it all!

Well I am an old man so I don't crawl under dash boards or climb in trunks like I used to. Months after getting the last of what I needed I finally got some installed myself and paid the guys at work to do the rest (I did the speakers and they did the amps and wiring.)

NVX 6X8s in the doors, NVX 5 1/4s on the deck, 12" N series (dual 2 ohm I set at 4) powered by an NVX mono amp that is 450 watts at 4 ohms. Head unit is a Cerwin Vega with a Cerwin Vega 60X4 @ 4ohms amp.

All I can say is DAMN! you guys hit it out of the park with NVX! I have put complete systems in the wife's car, the kids etc., but never my own. I finally broke down and did it and I am impressed! So if you're rolling down the street and you come on a senior citizen in a Grand Marquis jamming out, give me a wave cause I can't hear ya!
