Very Clear Speakers!

I previously made a review for the V-series 6.5 component speakers. Long story short, I had all 6 of these NVX V-series speakers (components in the front, and these wonderful coaxials in the rear) installed into a 2014 Ford Focus and powered by a Rockford Fosgate amp that feeds them about 85 watts rms. (in my other review I mistakenly referred to my Belva amp, which is actually powering my subwoofer).

These speakers come in very clear. When my friends got a ride in my new car with these new speakers, they were very impressed. And they know that I'm a music producer / audiophile so my music ALWAYS has to be clear. For only around $80 I got excellent sound quality. The highs are good, the mids are dang-near perfect. The lows are present, but not very powerful. (but I have a 12inch sub to take care of bass power).

All in all, these get a 9 out of 10. Very good quality products.

Beautiful

Ive been into car audio since 1993. Ive worked in many local shops as well. Ive used MB Quart Boston Hertz JL Rockford Alpine and for the past ten years nothing but Focal. These are on par with the Focal V series maybe even the K's. Only knock I have is a no tweeter attenuation.

Awesome sound

I'm a beginner for car installation and the customer service was very helpful in assisting me installing the car componet speakers. The speaker quality compared to my factory new truck speakers was a huge improvement. Sonic Rocks.

WOW CLARITY AND LOUD

NVX is a new company but wow am I impressed. Look out alpine...NVX has come out swinging. You cannot beat the price for what you get on any of their products. These components absolutely scream and sound better than infinity kappa perfect and most others. Buy them now.

I would recommend these speakers for everyone so much bass and so much clear sound out of them, just wish the warehouse would, you know ship them on time, and then when they show up 5 weeks later there defective and have to wait another 4 to get them, but after that, they are fantastic and worth every penny,

Impressed! Need to correct an error.

I wrote and earlier review. I made an error. The NVX speakers I purchased were the V series, but the size for the front were 6.5" not 6". The back speakers were correct. 6x9 N series 55wt. Whether its 6" or 6.5 the sound result will be equally as good. Smaller speakers have the tendency to sound a tad bit better imo......I could have gone with a 6" either will work, but the vehicle is designed for a 6.5".

NVX VSP69

I was a little skeptical when I ordered these speakers, as NVX was a new and emerging brand that I had never heard of. I must say that I am extremely pleased with them! I put these in the back panels of my 2000 Nissan Xterra, with NVX VSP65 speakers in the front and a Kenwood DPX500BT head unit. The whole system sounds awesome, and I can only imagine what it would sound like in a smaller car!!

I bought these along with the NVX 6.5 components with the tweeters. These speakers are super clear and I highly recommend putting them on a amplifier, just hooking them up to a head unit does not compliment them very well... I was actually a little worried I was going to lose some sound quality on these when I compared them to my pioneer 5 way 6x9's off the head unit power alone. They shine with an amp. Currently have them hooked up to a Jensen 760.4 and my car can only hold 13.8v.

Great sound at a great price .

I purchased 2 sets of these NVX VSP65 speakers for my Fiat 500 and they fit perfectly in both the front and back . I was hesitant to buy these because I have never heard of them but with all the great reviews I took a gamble and I am glad I did . They sound fantastic with perfect midrange and very clean , crisp , and clear tweeters and that was before I added the amp . When I added the Boss CXX2705 amp these things really came alive . Not cheap speakers but top notch speakers at a great price . Very well built and quit heavy at 7 pounds a pair and will give any name brand speakers a run for their money . Very satisfied and will use sonic for all my car audio needs in the future !!

Very impressive! Safe buy!

I was a bit skeptical as many are about this brand, but I'm always willing to give new startups a try so I went ahead and ordered them.

First thing I have to say is that they're pretty feel heavily constructed. Of course anyone can slap a big magnet on a speaker to make it feel "heavy" but at least one can confidently say it doesn't seem flimsy in any way. Also they're a bit plain looking, which doesn't really mean much since they're hidden behind my door panels.

As far as sound? I'm very impressed. I'm not a professional, rather a well-researched hobbyist. That being said, after extended listening I'm reaching that phenomenon of hearing things in music I'm quite familiar with that I've never noticed before, kinda like when using a quality pair of headphones. The clarity is really impressive. Also one thing that I'm happy about is that the highs are not at all harsh.

I'm feeding them with a JBL GTO-3EZ amp rated at 50w RMS, and they seem comfortable with handling this power. The low end response is quite good, so good in fact that when If first powered up this new system install, the sub wasn't working, and I didn't even notice at first. I've played them pretty loud, and they seem totally fine with it.

I did one instrumented test using a RTA app on my iPad. Frequency response is good to about 80hz or so before they start to fall off, so that's where I set my LPF to. The rest of the frequency curve while playing pink noise is remarkably flat! You can notice it while listening that there aren't any bright spots.

In conclusion, these have seriously exceeded my expectations in both sound quality and flat response. For the money this is a GREAT buy.

Metra Mazda and Ford Speaker Harness (72-5602)

Hello,

I purchased two pair of the Metra 72-5602 speaker harnesses for my 2016 F150 lariat SuperCrew instead of cutting the factory wiring.

These speaker adaptor harnesses plugged right into the factory speaker harness on both the front and rear doors without any problems and with the added benefit of being able to put the factory speakers back in when it`s time to sell the vehicle.

If a speaker harness is available for your vehicle and you plan on using the "factory" wiring, i`d recommend purchasing one to make your speaker installation very easy.

Used these for my 2016 ford explorer and they fit the factory wiring harness good but one side of the terminals did not fit new radio. For some reason they make one smaller than the other and honestly it mightve been easier just splicing and saving the money.

NVX VSP65 Super speakers

This is just a recap of my first review . I have a Boss cxx2705 amplifier that puts out 150 watts RMS at 4 ohms or 450 watts RMS at 2 ohms . I have mine wired at 4 ohms which is 3 times the RMS rating of the NVX VSP65 speakers (2 pairs) front and rear . I admit I have not cranked it up past 2/3 of the way up and that is only on songs that are recorded at lower rating . I will say these things take all I can give them with extreme accuracy of the mids and highs with zero distortion even when pushed . I do have the base filtered out but 3 times the power is still three times the power !!! My 2 twelve inch subs make up more then the difference for my lows . The over all sound is extremely accurate and clean !! I would recommend these speakers to anyone over ANY other brand . They are new to market but are made of the utmost quality and can handle much more then rated !! For all you novices out there just remember when you turn the volume over half way that is when you start creating heat and heat will start burning up voice coils which will eventually lead to speakers getting blown along with HU , amps , ect ... I am 51 years old and have been doing audio since I was 14 . Take my advice or not , it's your money . As far as Sonic goes , you can't beat their service !!

I changed out the speakers in my new mustang as it was base and came from the factory with sCrappy speakers. With out then I wouldn't have been able to swap out the speakers as the original spacers are molded into the speakers. These made swapping out my speakers a breeze! Highly recommend them!

Hits hard

I got 2 of theses in my Front fairing of my Harley ultra,they are 6 3/4 not 6 1/2.got a ARC mini amp running them in parallel, which brings them down to 2ohm...they hit just as had as my Polk db652 with I have in my tour pack.. but I wish they were water resistant... Other than that only time will tell...ride hard.

Woah man only xx.xx bux???

I put these in a Chevy Express 2013 work van. These were a perfect fit but once the screws were in the cardboard extender rings wouldnt fit over the heads, oh well. Running these off the factory HU (and ONLY these) and they are still breaking in. A little crispy but with a quick adjustment (-1 treble +1 bass) I had people at work stunned at the lush clarity and volume I get from these. Mike Dawes, Andy McKee or similar critical acoustic recordings sound stunning on these! More produced styles reveal the lack of sub bass but the midbass performance is great, my doors and mirror are shaking and the air is blowing against my Levi’s. The tweeter is a little hot, with a quick cut they are very smooth and balanced. These were pretty much made to replace OEM but would acheive stellar performance amped with the right high pass setting to focus the power in the midbass. You could buy two sets of these and unsolder the tweeter wires, you’d have dynamite diy midbass drivers on a seriously anemic budget. But dont void your warranty folks.

These sound great in my 2000 S10 and were affordable. Sound quality overall is great. Bass is enough to listen without a sub just know the limits of the driver and you won't blow it. These aren't made to play sub bass.

I had 4 of the CS 6.5 Kickers in my Avalanche and they sounded good but with my amp I would get to a point where they would bottom out. I have read a lot of good things about NVX so I thought I would give them a try.
All I can say is WOW the sound is spot on and at the point my old kickers would pop these NVX VSP65 were begging for more power. Doesn't last very long

These speakers sound great, don't get me wrong. But, I'm on my third set in under three years. The first set I had exchanged in warranty because one of them went totally out (woofer and tweeter). Now, I'm having an issue with one of the woofers going in and out and sometimes creating a staticy-whine sound while the tweeter is still working fine. As I'm typing this, not sure why I even bought the third set.

I hooked these up and was amazed at how much better they sounded than the Sony ones and then I hooked up an amp to them and was amazed all over again! The range given is bumpkiss.

Supposedly they only go down to 70 hz but it has to be deeper. The 5.25s I had before were listed as going down to 70 and I know they go much deeper than that. Other than that foible and faux pas they are incredible, warm, rich, deep and also crisp without being harsh. I plan on getting a second set for my Cobalt and using adapter plates. 4 of these, 2 NVX VSW 10s I bought from here will be beyond incredible.

I decided to replace the door speakers in my 2012 Challenger SRT 392. I currently have 1800 watts with 6 subs in the rear trunk. The front sound stage was crisp but needed depth for my music type. I tried 2 sets of speakers from Kicker to Rockford and decided on these based on the reviews I've read. Wow. Totally satisfied. They take all the power I can give them. You don’t need a lot of amp to power these. 75 to 100 watts RMS and they’re happy. Never heard of NVX until Sonic starting promoting them. Good find. These are the ultimate bang for the buck!

purchased 2 sets of these for a 06 chrysler 300. these are paired to a pioneer gm-d9500f amp and sounds great. loud and clear. crisp highs and solid mids. dropped the hpf down to 63 hz and sounds great. paired these with a set of nvx vcw 10s (great subs) and added 3.5 inch speakers to the dash (nvx nsp model as they do not make vsp models of their 3.5 speakers--- or would have purchased them). the car sounds great. mids are defined and do not show any peaks around the 80-10 hz region as i have seen with outher 6x9s of same pedigree. cant speak on how they sound off deck power but they sound great off the amp with 80 watts a speaker.

Good bang for buck

Revived speakers in good condition and fast. Have them ran to a alpine mrpf300 bridged 1-2 and 3-4 giving them the full 100 rms they can take been about a month and there still crisp, loud and accurate!

These speakers produce great sound. Decent amount of low tones for a door speaker. Well made and a magnet that is at least 4 times as big as my stock speakers. Outstanding speakers

I have a pair of these in an C6 corvette doors. The factory speakers were thin 8" speakers, which sounded ok, but I wanted better than just "ok". I made a 6x9 baffle out of 3/4" MDF and replaced the old factory 8's with these. I also ran my own speaker wire from an aftermarket amp, a Kicker ZX350.4 (bridged to two channels). The doors are semi-sealed and the sound is simply outstanding! Bass, mids, and hi's sound all in one set of speakers. The Bass is as strong as some 8's on the market out there. When I say bass, I'm talking impact drum bass and bass guitar, ie old school rock, NOT today's Rap music. These speakers are definitely worth the inexpensive price tag they carry, but they can only sound as good as the enclosure they are in.

Saw these on internet, read the reviews, gave them a try. Installed in 2011 chevy impala, at first not impressed with sound using factory radio, but after some time, maybe they had to break in, they sound great. Now I love them, so much I ordered 6x9s for the rear.

I have owned these speakers along with the 6.5 NVX and being pushed with 5 channel Precision power 2200 Black Ice amp for about 2 years. Not a single problem. The amp can really make those speakers come alive. I would and do recommend these speakers.

These 6x9's will take some power and the bass is surprising out of these things. Worth the money.

No adapter

The website led me to believe I wouldn't need an adapter for the rear doors in a 2015 f150 wirh sony system. They do not fit by themselves and I didn't want to mess with taking the factory speaker out of its bracket. Great speaker after I got them installed very clean sound.

Great speakers especially for the money.. almost sounds like i have a small sub. Only con is they have a super big magnet. They didnt fit all the way in the doors for my 2010 charger. But with a little finnesse i got them in. Fit fine in rear deck. Great buy

Put these VSP 6x9s in my 2016 Chrysler 300 on a Rockford Fosgate Punch 1000x5 with the x series 12 n man the sound quality is amazing. I tried these without the sub for a few days and they have great bass felt like I had a 8in sub already in the trunk and they have crystal clear highs. For the price you really can't beat them. My old infinity kappas were louder but were 3x the price.

Used as mid-bass in 2019 Ram

As a mid-bass speaker, these are a big step up to the factory speakers.
Better definition and clarity. Drums, bass guitar are more distinctive.
A big step up from factory. Highly recommended.
They did cause the ANC system to amplify the bass into a drone.
This happens sometimes when upgrading speakers with these new vehicles with auto noise cancelling. Has to disconnect the ANC mics.

All NVX products are great quality. I have bought NVX amps, speakers, and amp kits and I haven't been disappointed yet. These 6x9's sound great but I highly recommend powering them with an amp. Stock radio power isn't enough to get your money's worth. Give them 80-100 rms and you'll here the difference.

These are probably the only ones that actually fit most speakers like JBL and others that have the Oddball sizes most others you have to cut the ends off... and install you own. These dont. :)

Very tight fit

These wire harnesses are perfect. Except, the work it takes to get them on the + and - speaker terminals is ridiculous. I don't know if it's the speaker terminals are too big, or the harness fittings are too small, but I think these harnesses need to provide a little more flexibility to get them on the terminals, and then squeeze them down with some pliers.
