The connector allows installation of aftermarket speakers without modifying the factory harness. The only issue I had was one of the wires was loose in the connector.

Purchased to install 2 pairs of Pioneer TS-D6802R in my 2007 Mustang GT with Shaker 500. Made the install easy. Make sure to check the alignment of the conductors when plugging into the car's harness. The pins of the Metra plug kept pushing out of the connector.
Plenty of slack for the install. Zip tie everything down.

Ford Speaker Connectors

Work great if you can plug them in without breaking then by pushing the wires through the back. They come two per package, I found if you bend the black wires prong down just a little they plug in pretty easy. I broke 3 on the drivers door on my 02 f350 after that I got the hang of them fortunately I bought twice as many as I needed on accident so I still have two unbroken ones left.

Great value

I purchased 2 pairs for my 2000 Ford F350 CC. Build quality is very good for the price and installed easily in the stock locations. I didn't use any sound deadening material or baffles, and am powering them off of a Kenwood DX471HD head unit. They are plenty loud and after adjusting some settings, they sound pretty good. It seemed the higher the volume, the better they sounded. The treble isn't as high as I was hoping, but probably better for my ears anyway. The bass is decent, but an added subwoofer is needed for full sound as expected. Great upgrade over the stock speakers for sure. Speakers have only been installed for couple weeks now, so durability is still a question.

I recommend that everyone use these adapters. It allows you to install aftermarket speakers quickly without compromising your factory wiring. Later if you decide to reinstall your factory speakers you can easily do so by unplugging the adapter and plugging your factory harness back into the speakers.

Good Quality Stuff

Im running these in my front and rear doors on an AB SQ 375 and they scream and sound clean. I can hear ever word of the music very clear and the 1" tweeter makes the highs sound great. I would recommend these speakers, upgraded from KS68s. NVX is quality.

Worth the price

I've always been a hardwire kind of guy. The only problem with that is it gets to be a pain splicing wires and makes it a pain to uninstall speakers. The 72-5600 makes the job a snap - saves time, frustration, and retains the factory connectors. I'll use them again when the time comes!

Take it easy with these.

On my '01 F-150 supercrew, I ran into an issue with these on two of my four speakers (both back ones, for reasons unknown). In trying to get the adapter into the door fitting, one of the pins was pushed back through the adapter and fell out. Basically, you're going to want to wiggle the snot out of it in pretty much every direction when putting it in (I know, that's what she said), or it'll make it a total PITA to get both pins attached correctly. Maybe some dielectric grease would help.

Whatever. Just use caution and don't get to rowdy.

Made speaker instillation easy

Used these to install two Pioneer TS-A6885R speakers in my 2010 Ford fusion se. The wires came pre crimped, just had to plug wire ends into speakers and factory harness. This made the instillation quick and easy. Definitely worth the extra little bit of cash.

Did the job... in my 2010 Ford Taurus All speakers.

They worked and with a little shaping even fit the slightly different tweeter connectors. You have to hold them right when snapping in because the plug leads/wires have a habit of wanting to push out.

Made install a breeze, for the most part

These speaker adapters are on the best things you can purchase if you're powering your main speakers with your head unit. There's no need to splice wires, you just plug and play. The only downside to these were that there are two common sizes for (+) terminals, and these had the smaller size, while the speakers they were hooked up to were the larger ones. I had to do some chopping to get everything to fit, but it's been on there for over 6 months with no problems. The install in my 2006 Ford Focus was so much easier thanks to these Metra adapters.

I read up on line that there were adapters to easily install aftermarket speakers in my truck. Goggled the part needed and Sonic came up by far the cheapest in price and shipping was free. Works ok...

I bought these to install 4 aftermarket mids and 2 tweeters in my 2010 Taurus. They work ok. When you are trying to plug them into your speakers the wire/prongs keep pushing out of the connector bracket but if you hold them right you can connect. One thing nice -the tweeters were a different connector but if you cut the metra's plastic connector a bit and rotate them in the other way they would fit. This was convenient because I assumed all connectors were the same for Taurus speakers.

Good speakers

I have these running off the NVX JAD900.5 amp as the rear speakers in a 2002 F-150 SuperCrew. Perfect match and easy install. Sound great, in the truck. In the back doors on this the speaker mounting depth is too much but the way NVX packages the speaker they come with the perfect spacer ring for this application. The sound is right there with anything else that I have had, JL, Polk, Alpine, Rockford, Boston, Memphis... Will be seeing what NVX has before looking else where on my next audio install.

Speaker adaptor harness

Ok, these were purchased for my daughters 2002 Ford Focus ZTS - they work fine with one issue.
When you pull the factory speaker out of the harness the factory speakers are clearly marked with a positive and a negative symbol to denote which side is which polarity. The adaptor harness will only fit in one way and this is were the problem comes in, when plugging in the adaptor harness into the factory harness the adaptor harness flips the polarity.
In short what should be positive is now negative and vice versa with the negative side.
When using just make sure of where your polarity's are and how the adaptor connects to your new speakers.

NVX VSP68

Needed to replace all my original speakers. I read about the nvx speakers and thought I would give them a try. I didn't need anything to handle more than stock stereo. The speakers fit like originals and sound real good. I also liked the price. I thought the speakers came with connectors but they didn't or I would have ordered them at the time of purchase.

Purchased two sets of these (Front and Rear) and when given the power they recommend, they are awesome! The extreme high frequencies are a tad soft but the snare drum frequency snaps like none other! I first hooked them up with the HU just to see what they would sound like and...let's just say not anything to be excited about...but...When given the 100 watts RMS recommends power!!! Yeah buddy they come alive!! Very impressed in the price range and have become an NVX fan for sure! Also, Sonic Electronix was very easy to deal with and will definitely be back for more purchases in the future ????

Upgraded stock Bose speakers in a 2013 Mazdaspeed 3. I waited too long and depraved myself from better music. I huge different in sound quality; both mid and treble are clean and is just was was lacking from the Bose speakers. I had the NXP68 for a couple days, but decided to return them and bought 2 sets of VSP68 from Sonic Electronix because of the 50% off on the 2nd pair sales. I highly recommend the VSP68 over the NSP68 because of the larger silk doom tweeters and higher rated power rating. In addition, VSP68 came with spacers which were needed for windows clearance.

Sonic Electronix should warn and recommend spacers for Mazda vehicles when upgrading speakers.

I thought I would give these nvx speakers a try all the reviews that I have read on them said they were great but they left me very disappointed. My deck in my truck pushes 50 wats a channel and that can way over work these speakers. At mid volume they destort with a serious lack of bass. They are just not a balanced or loud. I was hopping they would be great but their not.

Love these speakers.

I set up my truck with all NVX speakers and equipment. I love the sound. Performs great with just the power from a head unit but also takes the extra punch from an amp just fine too.
These are my fourth set from NVX. What impresses me the most is how at this price point they are out fitted with silk dome tweeters. IMO silk tweeters are the warmest and smoothest and historically I wouldn’t find that on anything under $200 for a set. Well done NVX.
