Pretty well made box. The sub hole was a little too small for my 12" hcca but a little cutting solved that. I didn't have time to make my own box so this suited me realyl well.

Very very nice, exact specs below.

Very nice box. The carpet is nice and seems to be glued properly, although it does look like it might rub off in time. Build quality is very nice, feels very sturdy. There are some globs of dried glue on the exterior but nothing I can't get over. It would have been nice to not have the sub cutout so close to the port but that's just nitpicking. Doesn't come with wires internally but the terminals are much nicer than I've seen on other prefab boxes.
Regardless of what Belva has published, this box is not 1.8 ft.

The gross volume is 1.97 ft, but after taking into account port displacement, it's net volume is 1.30 ft. It's also tuned to 34.4 Hz. Determined using the Torres Speaker Box Calculator.

well built box

For the price it cannot be beat. This box meets the recommended size enclosure for the single sub i ordered, which is the Rockford P2D4. Ported to trick the sub its in a bigger box with poly fill lining. Well built and carpeted in dark gray. I highly recommend it. Hits lows hard and loud.

Not bad

So I bought one of the "Sonic Boxes" a couple years back and it was similar to this box but gray. The sonic box was better build quality. This box has a hole cut that is nowhere near center. It's up and to the right a bit, but that's what you get for a 55 dollar box I guess. The carpet around the ported has started to come unglued and the box hasn't had any play time what so ever. It seems to be mdf and 3/4". The dimensions are correct. Port tune is around 35 hz and net box size is around 1.4 cubic ft. The poly fill probably needs to be glued down so I will stay inside the box. The port used to be rounded on the inside with the sonic box now it is not. It is a good box to get by on since it is built pretty well, but I would recommend getting a box built to spec for the woofer you have for optimal sound. For 55 bucks it's not a bad way to get by, just don't expect the best for that price point.

Great Prefab box

I would highly recommend this box it sounds like it is tuned between 34-36hz hits lows really good unlike i was expecting since it is vented. I had a rockford fosgate p3 and it sounded amazing in the box and now I have an Alpine type S in there until my new p3 comes back in and the type s even sounds great i didnt think a type s would pound like it did. Good box would def recommend and buy again if need be.

Worth the space

I downgraded from a much larger box to this one and noticed no difference. Saved me some space, though it's still pretty big, and handles the sub perfectly. Feels sturdy and looks good.

Awesome box

This box sounds great coupled with a Pioneer Champion Series Pro and 1500 watt amp. Very deep bass tones and very loud. Definitely would recommend.

this sub is a beast !! it can hit the lows just awesome !!! for the price this sub is just awesome ! takes what other more expensive subwoofer i had wont take ! many of my friends are switch over brands because of how good mine sound and how well they take the power . ill be getting more for sure

Killer Sub

I have this sub in a 2007 Hyundai Tiburon in the ported box it came with, it fit nicely in my car and I have my trunk divided in half so this baby takes it up and I still have some room.

I've been doing Car Audio for about 5 years now and have had a good handful of subs (l7's, CVR's, Boss{junk, I know}, Clarion and a rockford t1 etc)

This sub pounds nice, it is a little hazy on the rock songs but keeps up beautifully with rap and hip hop. It hits pretty hard, Im feeding it ~900 RMS and she pounds. After about an hour of heavy play - 80% volume - I can smell the voice coil a little; so prolonged use might not be its strong point.

This sub is great for a modest hard hitting system for daily use and to impress some friends or piss off some neighbors. But if you want a windshield cracker I'd say go a little higher up on the totem pole.


on a side note, the middle cover that says NVX blew off after a few weeks of use, might be more bass than they expected.

I just purchased this Subwoofer and I have to admit that I was skeptical when i placed the order. Sonic Electronix was fast and this product is every bit the beast that it's portrayed to be! The design screams hard hitting, low bass. The design reminds me of the old school Solobaric 12's I had in High School (1996). I cannot wait to hook everything up. I will have a more in depth review once everything is installed.

Was looking for a good quality subwoofer and saw some great reviews on this nvx vcw 12 2 so I took a chance on it and boy am I glade I did this sub hits hard and low I would recommend this to everyone. This thing bumps

This thing is insane I have it hooked up to the Nvx JAD 1200.1 at 1 Ohm and i installed it last weekend its not even close to broken in but, it is so Loud. Have in in a 1.8 ported and at half power you will have people yelling at you at stop lights :)

I bought one of these 12s had it hooked up on 1500 Watt hifonics p thing slammed hard for a 12 would recommend a answer box then. I. Had though. These like small boxes

Greatest box I've owned sounds great in a smaller car I had it in a bigger car and would have needed two to get the bass I wanted outta them but then I bought a ford fiesta and it's smaller so it sound great and is perfect for my little car

Great strong box

Great box, solid construction, easy set up. I personally prefer an exterior terminal connection that is a push type, but this screw type works just fine. I highly recommend.

Solid for a cheap option

I used this with a JL Audio 12WX sub powered off a Polk Audio amp giving it 200 rms. The box produced great output considering the entry level power and for a non-audiophile the clarity will be fine. Yes, a custom made box is ideal but if that's not an option for you then this is a suitable alternative.

Perfect Specs for JL 12W3V3 Ported Enclosure

I searched for a decent sub enclosure that would match the JL Audio specifications for the 12W3V3 in a ported enclosure.
This sonic sub box was a near perfect match for specified enclosure volume (1.7 cuft) and port tuned frequency (31 HZ, after measuring the port size, length and using online calculators).
Shipping was a little expensive (30.00) but it arrived in a day and 1/2. The box is solid and well constructed- not perfect- it has a hand built appearance- but it is sufficient.
The JL sub fit in the opening with no issue. The terminals are light duty but also sufficient.
After much research and deliberation, I did add some layers of poly fill batting to the walls of the enclosure's interior. I bought some pre-cut 1" thick pads from the fabric store- they were sold as baby crib side cushion padding. I put one layer on the top, bottom and left and right sides, being careful not to obstruct or block the entrance to the port slot. I put two layers on the wall directly behind the woofer. now the woofer back wave sees a group of nicely padded walls.
Again, after reading the pros and cons of doing this with a ported enclosure, I took a chance and did it before listening to the speaker- I wanted to get it right the first time I put it together. I had a hard time with envisioning running the sub with no padding on the interior walls.
The results are paying off- I seem to have plenty of output from the 12W3, and it is absolutely tight and deep when compared to other ported subs I have heard, and there is zero unwanted port noise- and no muddiness or booming.
The sound is right on the money- absolutely perfect and exceeded my expectations.
My only issue is the size of the enclosure- it takes up about a third of my small SUV's cargo area.
In the future I may try to find a much smaller enclosure and go sealed, about a third less volume than the JL specs for sealed, and maximize the volume with a complete polyfill stuffing and see what that sounds like. Maybe not though, this one sounds like a winner with the JL 12 W3 and it isn't even broken in yet!

Well, i bought this box with a 12" rockford t2d2 to place in it. I noticed this box was around 40 pounds and my sub was around 70 pounds.

I was a bit skeptical at first when i placed it in, thinking the box would break. I have been pounding the living hell out of that sub and it has sounded clean, loud, and incredible... Perfect amount of air space, 1.8 cubes.

Def would recommend this to anyone...

Pros, loud as hell! Cons, its a really deep box. Got the Boss phantom subwoofer installed into this box, and couldnt be happier! I only just got it installed, but so far, it's been unbelievably loud. Recommend it for sure.

It is a good box

It is a really good box the only problem i have is with the terminals and the terminal cup. For one thing you might want to put some silicone around the inside to seal it off and the other thing is that the terminal nuts get lose and the terminals touched each other and blew out my sub. So if u buy this box make sure that the nut are TIGHT!!!! If not it will losen up and the terminals could touch and blow your sub.

Belva 1SV12B

This box is well vented.. Made professionally, looks nice, and bumps HARD with my Rockford Fosgate sub. It pounds the hell out of my big car. Fantastic and well worth the money.

VCW Beast!

These subs have been doing an awesome job in my car! I have them wired to a BB5000D .5ohm with a D3100 and a 200amp EA alt. Used to run three pioneer 10's and these blow them away. They sound really nice and clear, and have a great output of bass. I definitely recommend these to anyone looking to step up their system for such a great price.

Sonic Sub Box: 1SV12

Forget for a moment the price. The house system has a separate low end amp as such powered base cubes were not considered. (These became parts of a replacement).
Loaded with Fosgate P2s they work excelent.
Modifications:
Egg crate foam added inside except for port area.
1.5" wooden feet added for appearance and getting the cone area out of vacuum cleaner "range".
Suggestions.
Although the price was great I would gladly have gone a few more bucks for wood venear.
Down firing seam to be better. Would be nice if ther were that version even if somewhat larger. Size increase depending on driver characteristics.

All in all................
Good price and low hassle. The best recommendation is they need be heard, or do I mean felt.

Best box for Alpine Type R

I saw a lot of other boxes for all around the same price and the reviews were so mixed. A buddy of mine has two type r's in the basic Alpine boxes and it doesn't come close to how loud these boxes are. Personally, the 3/4" MDF/polyfil combo produces a much deeper, better bass than all of the other boxes. GET THIS BOX IF FOR TYPE E/X/R or any subwoofer that it fits the Ported Enclosure Volume range!

It is 27 December 2014 and I installed my Type R in this box with an Orion CO2400.1D amp and SoundQuest 2F Capacitor around Thanksgiving of 2014. It sounds amazing!

for what it is the enclosure is well built and worht the cost. but for the application it ws recomended for its acctually to small. way to small for the sub but still worth the money if nothing elese for the quality of the build.

Paired with an alpine type r it works very well and adds much boom to my system I have no issues with this box at all not a custom but solid sounds good and much More easy to come by if you don't have time or restores to build your own, before this box my bass was loud after this box my bass was a bomb

pretty solid

I had a 12" Alpine Type X in this box. For the first year it slapped pretty hard and I had no complaints about the level of sound it would put out. I would be pleased but after a little more than a year my sub ripped the faceplate off of the box, or whatever u call the wood that the sub attaches too. All in all, this box would be great for a sub that is around the 500 RMS range, just be careful with big subs.

sturdy but bad port design

I put a alpine type r in this in my 2000 ram ext. Cab on the back seat and I can hear air rushing through the port I wish I would have went with a sealed box and the hole was off center this box would be good for a trunk of a car

Boyfriend Loves this box.

I purchased this box for my boyfriends Xmas present. He absolutely loves it. It's built strong, good insulation, love the look and overall it makes a speaker sound wonderful. His Planet Audio sounds 10x better than it ever has. Only complaint was the wiring area. Complicated to wire through so we ran them trough the port. Just as easy works just as well.

I was rather skeptical when ordering this sub but when it got i was impressed with the looks and weight of it. i have it in a 1.25 sq ft ported atrend enclosure and it flexes the windshield in my jeep cherokee with agression. Its paired with an older memphis pr1000 at 1ohm and im blown away at the lows it can hit. its louder than a friends memphis mojo 15 on a orion hcca 2400 watt amp. i replaced a kicker comp r with this and there is no comparison. buy this sub!

Well built

I purchased this box for a 12' kicker cvx. First of all this box was built well and very sturdy. However, the sub I installed needed a little more air space. I would recommend this box for any subwoofer under 600 watts.

Nicely built, sounds great.

The box is very nice. It has polyfill in it, the polyfill is not secured very well it is probably best to go through and glue it down, and is built very nicely. The box will (more than likely) splinter when you try to screw holes into it but its MDF and that's what MDF does. It sounds great with an Orion XTR PRO 12 4 in it and hits lows very nicely.

I would definitely recommend to anyone who was looking for a relatively cheap but nicely built box.

Great Box

Would definitely recommend this box. Put a Fosgate T1 in this box and it sounds really great. Didn't think it would have enough volume for the sub but it is awesome. One of the cons when I received the box the carpet was comin off on one side, but nothing some good old adhesive spray can't fix.

Cut out (inches) was not accurate

I used this box with an RE REX 12" and the hole was not big enough. I'm too lazy to go back and dig up my measurements, but the hole was a tad bit smaller than advertise.

If your questioning the quality of this enclosure. Question No More. It is built sturdy, solid (not dry) MDF, all corners are properly sealed, last but not least they even took the extra step in making the Tuned Port Wall with a Rounded Edge!!!! I don't care who you are thats A GREAT DEAL!!!!

Great bang for buck

Had this box with an RE Audio SEX, sounded great for a week while breaking it in then speaker fell apart lol. Now I got a Sundown SA12 and this thing slaps. Very nice for a prefab, can't beat the price. But shipping could have been better. Speaker wire terminals could be better also, but whatever it works.

Some glue on the dust cover

One can truly tell this product is made in China. However for the price it hits a but harder than a type r and sounds great. I would buy again. Bang for buck achieved.

Great box

I put my Pioneer TS-W309S4 sub in here and it sounds fantastic. Just as good and clear as my friend's 15. This box was relativly inexpensive and is quite sturdy. It looks great as well. The only con would be there is i tiny chunck of carpet missing on the port, it seems like they made it quickly. Either way, this is great box, you should buy it.

They are really good. I have two of them with a 2000 watt amp and they slam nice. Nice deep base and they keep up well with any type of music. I would absolutely recomend them.

My favorite subwoofer !

these subs are awesome, they sound awesome, they have great spl, very well rated power wise. in the proper box and proper setup they will take well over rated, all depends on your setup. ive done many builds with them and many box types, these drivers love a 1.85 cu. ft. net volume ported box, ive also tried these in a bandpass design and are very efficient and dont require as much power, again this is all based on ur build. ive used 100's of subwoofers and these for the cost and output is my favorite balance, if you ever do blow one somehow nvx does have recones for the vcw series

Great box. Have it with a 500 rms watt Alpine type r sub and an alpine mrp 500 amp. Sounds great in my jeep patriot suv. I bought some bananas clips in order to remove it with ease when i needed cargo space and mounted my amp in the spare tire compartment. I would recommened this sweet box to anybody.

This box was way more than I expected for twice the price. Shipped very fast and the carpet looks nice. Had a alpine R type in a 1cu ft box sealed that I was very disappointed in. I was gonna stash it in a corner till the end of time but I saw this box and come on 35 bucks. Pdx 1.600..........R type.........this box.........= loud clear and hits all those bass notes that you know should be there. We all have our two favorite CD's that we turn to every time you turn on a new system. Anyway my cousin is now gonna get two of them and why he wants it that ear splitting loud is way beyond me. Or is it?

Absolutely Great!

These are good quality boxes with tons of space for larger subs! Have 2 of these and each one has a RE Audio SEx V2 in it. Although I had to sand the edges of the boxes to fit those monsters in they hold up to the test and make them both sound really good! Love the black carpeting and its probably weird but these things smell great! Definitely recommend these boxes

Do not try to put a sub that can handle a ton of watts in this box. I have an re. xxx12 and blew the joints out of this thing...other than that I'm sure it is good for subs putting out less than 1000 watts...

NVX is the way to go

over the years I have spent much more money on subs that were half as good. I will never buy another sub again because I am completely happy with this one. my only complaint is that the 2500 watt Kenwood that I have running it isn't enough. make sure that the amp you have can drop down to 1 ohm safely and the speaker will blow you away! I also got to give a big shout out to the Sonic Electronix team you are freaking awesome! if you shop anywhere else you're going to be over charged and disappointed!

Best quality sub for it's value

I would honestly recamend this sub to any body. Not just the vcw's what the whole NVX line up speakers, subs, and amplifiers for the price you pay it's for sure quality. My good friend just bought 3 VCW's and is pushing a 147.3 on the db scale while under powered by a 2000 watte amp so buy them up u won't be disappointed!!!

Great product

The product comes packed with polyfill sheets which I didn’t expect (though it’s probably in the description). The wood is cut at sharp angles which is expected but the carpeting is very thin which I wasn’t a huge fan of. I also have a B-Box and it had thicker carpeting giving it a much better feel. The terminals are nicer than expected, accepting banana-type connections as well as screwing down on the ends if you don’t have banana connectors.

Belva Vented Woofer Enclosure

My NVX VCW 122 fit with ease in this enclosure. The enclosure has a nice black carpet covering it and has polyfill to really bring your woofer to life. Not to mention this enclosure survived a hard wreck due to a drunk driver hitting my tail end. It currently is dinged on the exterior a little but works phenomenally.

Well built, excellent value

I was surprised of the quality of these sub boxes when they arrived. For the money, I doubt you could do better and I've purchase other similar boxes at twice the price that don't measure up to these. The acoustical damping material is also a bonus, although it would be nice to have a little more "stuffing" for better damping. But you can always add some fiberglas insulation if needed. I will be using these again. The only other suggestions would be to add another small cutout hole for the additional of a tweeter, which is what I did on 8 of these. I am not using the box as a subwoofer, but a two way full range system and Eminence drivers.

12 Subwoofer Box

I recently bought this product for my Pioneer Champion Series Pro 12 & it goes well with it..
Would recommend it if your going for something small & space saving..

Great Woofer

I have owned many woofers from brands such as Rockford Fosgate, Kicker, Infinity, Pioneer, etc... This 12" is by far better than the competitors 12" woofers.

To begin with, this sub woofer for the price was a steal for me because I purchased it in a bundle deal with the Hifonics BRX 1100.1D, which is an incredible amplifier both looks and performance wise. I paid around 290 USD... not to mention there is no tax from sonic electronix which is awesome.

As for the look, this is the nicest, sleekest, biggest impressionist of a woofer I have owned/seen. The rubber roll around the outside of the gorgeous cone is massive and provides the sub woofer with ample room to breath.

The durability on this woofer is incredible.. This woofer experienced a rear end smashing accident in my car due to a drunk driver. The woofer and the Hifonics amp I mentioned previously were both scratched and slightly dented in some areas.. The woofer also was punctured unfortunately... but surprisingly it still sound AMAZING.

This woofer is extremely easy to wire.. on the woofer the ground and power terminals are just press and insert terminals which make it quick and saves you the mess and the trip to the hardware store for female connectors.

Solid investment. worth the money

This is a great subwoofer box for someone looking to add some decent low in punch to their system. I used it with a kenwood kfc 12 (400 rms) sub and it works really well. The tuning of this box is lower than most in this price range. Polyfil is a added bonus. This is for standard 12 subs. Would not use for anything serious (800+ rms) as the box will easily start to fall apart.
This does not mean its a bad or cheap box. Its just not designed for higher spl type subs.

Insane difference!

I have a P2 Rockford and I have had it in the same box the stereo shop that sold me the sub included in the "great package deal". So the whole time I've had this setup I've wanted to get a new sub cuz it sounded like a "Rampage" brand from the local auto parts store.

Free Box

The box was free with the purchase of a 12 inch infiniti Kappa sub. I read a review stating that it perfectly, that is not true. I had to widen the hole so the sub could fit flush. Why include a box when its now made for it?

Anyways it seems to be durable and do not take up much space which was a plus for me being a family man. It do look cheap though. I can't speak on sound because the kappa is weak compared to my 15 P3 so I'm not sure if it's the box or the sub. I think it's a good box for an overall cheap set yup. I plan to go sealed

Major air leaks

I got this free with a sub (IDQ12)
The box seems sturdy and well constructed but the air leaks were so loud that I couldn't fully enjoy my new subs. Not sure if I can do anything to remedy it on my end as I don't wanna go thru the hassle of doing a return. I'm sure it's a great box. I just happened to get a defective one.

I have 2 12" NVX VCW122 and they are IMPRESSIVE!! They soud so great. Since I have these i've had to add foam in certain spots of my car cuz it rattles the entire car. They are great for the price! These subs are the loudest subs I have ever had in my vehicle. I’ve been through multiple subs and amp combos (Jl, kicker comp r, RF, alpine, boss, Kenwood, pioneer). I’ve listened to Sundown SA series subs and to me they sound almost identical. I have the dual-ported box that NVX makes for these, and man does it get low. I have these subs running on 100% CLEAN 2500wRMS EACH and they handle it like a champ. Yes, they get warm after a few minutes but that is to be expected when you’re sending almost twice the rated power at them. I wish NVX could have been less conservative on the rating so I wouldn’t have had to waste time with a smaller amp that wasn’t giving the subs the power they needed. Overall, extremely happy with my purchase, and if they blow, hell at least it’s not as expensive as replacing sundown!

Dualling' Vcw12'z and Rockford 1500bdcp

Its phenomanal to put it lightly. I had the notion that a 4ch 50rms @ 4ohms mids n highs amp was gonna pair alright with my rf1500.1bdcp and the easy on the wallet pair of 12inch nvx vcw'z... let's just say a 100x4rms or better yet 250x4ch rms [digital designs sp4z?] I'm thinking will be much better...I think I'll keep my 50x4ch alpine power pack tho and hook it up to my 1.25" front tweets and 1.75" rear tweets. I do believe I will have to install another battery at that point, I should have one now but luckily my OEM sized over wound alt is handling the 1500watts+200watts currently...I've got big3 1/0 running from 200amp alt to front battery and then one 1/0 run going back to distroblock currently....I guess I'll take advantage of the 4awg outputs on it for the newer 4ch update...also I currently have a 1.3farad true high quality capacitor lined ro the rf bdcp...any way point made that 2x12vcw Nvx makes surprisingly awesome quality subwoofer that are pounding like much higher priced sundown or DC level 3 or 4s honestly I'd put the vcw12s against sundown 1000waatt rms subs or anything comparable in wattage rating albeit not price point rhough!!!!

Impressive and ridiculously clean!

This is the 4th pair of subwoofers I have ever purchased, I have had two pair of Boss audio subs and a pair of older pioneer champion series subs all 12" and all boasting a max of 1400-2200 watts. This NVX sub is the first one that can most definitely handle that kind of power! I have pushed a 1000 actual watts to each without clipping. I was a little surprised that the dB dropped slightly (running 4ohm currently vs. 2ohm on the boss subs they replaced), but the bass is so clean I can hear my mids and highs without an amp on them.

The triple stacked magnet is no joke! The excursion puts on a show! However, like the manual says, it stops putting out sound around 20hz and is replaced with the "too much excursion - bottom out sound"

If you buy this sub, please use a ported box (or 4th or 6th order bandpass design) and run them at 1ohm ea. I am purchasing 1ohm stable amps to make up for slight the loss of dB. Overall, from the reviews I found prior to purchase this is the best sub $200 can buy, and I whole heartedly agree!

NVX 4-Life

I waited until I got them broken in before leaving a review. I read up on Reddit and watched comparison videos about NVX before purchasing. I'm an Old School Basshead during the late 90s to mid 00s. Back when the only names you heard were Rockford, MTX, JL, Kicker, Alpine, etc. So, I did my due diligence and researched the new school brands. One video in particular showed these subs handling more than there RMS power with no sign of distortion, no smell from voice-coil burning, or over excursion. I was instantly sold. I purchased my first pair along with the NVX 27001 amp. These subwoofers are very stiff fresh out of the box. After a good and thorough break in period, they surpassed my expectations. So much so, that I purchased 4 more. I've never been the one for a simple dual sub setup. I had to see for myself how they performed and I'm glad I did. You can get a quality sound system for your vehicle for a lot less.

I would definitely recommend this sub, I've had it in for about 2 weeks in a sealed box. Its not gonna be earth shattering bass, for that you want a different box. This however is clean, tight and hits endlessly, I mean I have it connected to the NVX VAD17001 at 1ohm with the gain just over half way and it just eats up the power and rewards you with clean hitting sound. It will take a little while to break it in but once its broken in its an even better sub, take your time with it and play a nice variety of music through it, it'll reward you.

Shut up and take my money

When I originally bought my truck it had a rd sonance 12. All audiophiles know how amazing they were, I had to replace it with kickers l7Q, I roasted the kicker, so I searched for a speaker that would love my box came across this, the price had me iffy as it’s so cheap. I'm not one to write reviews, but I was very happy with this subwoofer. I've had my fair share of every level of subs and this one can hold it's own. I have a single 12 hooked to a true 900-1000watt rms at one ohm and this thing knocks. I know that is what it's rated for but I'm always skeptical with car audio. I bought this sub to replace my XQW 12" since it was too big for my Ram box, but ended up selling it since it is definitely an SPL subwoofer. I am an SQ person and it wasn't musical enough for me. I had it in a 1.85cu ft vented box and it moved some air, but didn't have the tight response for rock.
For rap and electronic music, this beast SLAMS!!! At it's max, it felt like a jackhammer (it was facing up under the seat) and I could actually feel the truck bouncing up and down. It was running off the NVX JAD 1200.1 at 1 ohm and it easily ate up the wattage and craved more! If you are looking for an SPL sub, this one is for you!

My setup was a sealed 3 sub box with a hifonics 2k watt amp in a 2005 dodge stratus coupe that was fully sealed off from the trunk. The subs faced into the interior of the car. I originally got one of these to replace a cheaper JBL sub that the wires from the terminals to the sub broke off and I couldn't resolder. After brake-in I noticed a huge difference in the bass. I bought another to replace the 2nd cheaper JBL and decided to keep the JBL comp sub alone. I think these NVX subs way out performed my JBL. When I sold that vehicle and got a new one I thought "lets make this right and make a match" so I bought the 3rd NVX. I made a new sealed sub box for the 3 12" subs. I also bought a new amp, a hifonics 2400 watt to get a little more kick. The new car was a HB and I am not sure if it was the different box design(original was 1 faced front and the other 2 faced outward into the extra long sides of the box and new was all faced forward) but, it did not hit as hard but still sounded great. I am in the process of building a new ported box for one of my other cars that has the room for it for these subs. My current box with subs installed is extremely heavy. I am 6'3" 275lbs and I can barely lift the box. I had to use a hand truck to get the box to the car after I built it. I think there will be a huge difference in sound but only time will tell. Overall I was very happy with them and will continue to purchase these and all NVX products in the future. Great price for the product that you get.

This sub is the real McCoy . Has a lot of throw and moves air like you have a window down ! I have a Belva mono 1200 watt RMS at 1 ohm . These 1000 watt RMS NVX VCW122 handle every thing I give them . I do not turn my volume past half way though because that is about how loud I can handle . I turn the volume to 3 out of 63 and my mirrors start to vibrate . For the price these babies , you won't find a better sub or a better customer service then Sonic !!! If you like deep clean bass then your search is OVER .

I went with sealed box cause of space issues i can only imagine how much louder it would hit in a ported box. But i like my bass tight i like to to hear the bass notes so i do like sealed enclosures.Next best thing is the grill for it looks kinda like the JL audio fits perfectly.So if you are looking for a sub that's JL Audio and DC audio quality level but cash is tight you can not go wrong with this sub.

If you want to have to wear earplugs on your commute to work, these are for you. I'm still in the break in phase and they're incredibly tight and my God are they loud. I have 2 on a nvx 2700 wired to 2 ohms getting 2000 clean watts in a sealed box in a CTS . I can't wait to really let them rip. They perform like subs 3 times the price. Might have been me but who knows

After comparing top brands to this product, I came to the conclusion that it is dumb to expect 1000watts RMS for $200. The sub was incredible for about 2 months with a 1000watt JL amp connected to it. 0 gauge wires yada yada. A week ago noticed a little distortion and then today it blew completely. Glad I didn’t do insurance on it. Chance to upgrade lol

What didn't I like is more like it. These subwoofers are just amazing in every aspect. Hits or more like kills the lows with authority. To be able to buy a subwoofer that is built and sounds awesome is a win win. Best subwoofer under 200 dollar's I've ever had. Good lord I was impressed with them when I first installed them, but now that they've broken in, forget about it. I commute daily and I have an amazing expensive front stage and with these things banging along with them. Holy shit is all I can say. I have my volume at 28 out of 35. On a Kenwood double din with DSP built in with everything you need to dial in crossovers to distance of speakers so the sound is hitting me at the same time. Sub level, 13 band EQ. All 1/0 OFC,320 amp alternator dual AGM batteries, sound deadener everywhere. People compliment me daily on how awesome it sounds, and trust me it's insane inside. But point being I have it cranking daily for hours on end and these sub's just won't quit. Pound for pound I would put it up against anything around it. They are that good. Put it this way I had 12w6's that bottomed out when I started listening to YouTube and a commercial came on coincidentally advertising subwoofers and it scared the shit out of me how lowd it was on the commercial that the cones locked up from going hyper extending so I bought these . Funny thing is I think these sound better and louder than the jL's. Need I say more?? As far as service at Sonic, second to none... Joanna C. Is the woman to talk to. Made some adjustments on my wrong doing like I had ordered the right ones. Again need I say more???

This sub hits haaaaaaard!!!

I read great reviews so decided to go with the 10”. And boy does this sub live up to the hype. I had a Skar SVR10 off the 800.1 Skar amp, it hit well but due to the prefabbed box it was tuned to 37hz and it did not hit the lows. So I got a custom 1.25 box tuned to 32hz, and I feel the lows the way you should. Since this sub handles 1000rms I upgraded the amp to the NVX NDA1200.1 (super tiny amp with a bench of 1327rns at 1ohm). I have more bass than I wanted lol, I got to find a way to upgrade my factory speakers cause the bass is that loud I can’t hear the lyrics as much. With the Skar it was a good blend, but it didn’t hit as hard as I wanted. Don’t snooze on this sub, it’s super heavy and well built. I got the amp maybe a bit more than 1/4 and I feel it can take more but I gotta break the sub in. Highly recommend this sub.

Great bang for buck

Upgraded from a V1 of the same sub, this thing is great. Built a box with a simple single slot port to spec and this thing BOOMS. Running with a 3000w power acoustics amp should be pushing roughly 2k to the sub. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

Great value prefab enclosure!!

A while back I purchased the skar audio single 12" SDR bundle with the 800w RMS amp and loaded SDR 12 vented enclosure and it sounded great. The problem was the skar enclosure was too big for my older car. So I put the sub in a small sealed box and it sounded like garbage. Fast forward a few years and I purchased a new car that could fit a larger enclosure. So I purchased this Belva vented enclosure and I'm so happy I did. I immediately got my bass back. It's crazy how much a box with the right volume and port measurements along with being tuned to the right frequency helps. Sounds as good if not better than the Skar audio prefab box. And the best part is this box has just the right specs for the Rockford Fosgate P3D2-12, so when I decide to upgrade to a better subwoofer, I won't have to find or build a new enclosure. Overall, it does the job and does it well. Just check the user manual of your sub and make sure this enclosures specs are exactly or close to what the subwoofer manufacturer says will make your sub sound best.

Great Box!

I had ordered a different box and when it arrived I knew it would not fit. I returned it and got this one. This thing rocks with the Kicker CompVR 12. I have it wired to 1 ohm with the HiFonics 1950 amp I also bought from here. If you own a 5th gen Camaro this box is pretty much the largest you can go. Fit by 1/8 inch.
