Best 8" Subwoofer! Must Buy!

I purchased the VCW84v3 but felt I need to leave a review for the 2-Ohm model because I am so happy with my purchase. This sub is absolutely nuts. After blowing my Skar EVL-8 it was time to find something better, and man did I. The NVX VCW8 not only delivers superior sound quality, but it can handle an astonishing amount of power. A friend recommended NVX to me, and I'm happy I took their advice."

Sounds great ???????? so far good deep ???? bass! They are still being broken in and are rated for more watts rms but I like them so far

So far so good ????????. They are still being broken in but nice deep bass. Really flexes the cab of the truck I only have them on the NVX 1700 watt amp so there's plenty of room for more watts rms! But I'm good were they are for now!

Got the wrong impedance

These are amazing speakers for the money. I wish I would have realized my amp wasn’t 1ohm stable before purchasing the 2ohm speaker. Now I will have to run in parallel and lower the power output. I dont know if I can even return it as I am not going to be home for quite some time. Bummer. Great product. Solely my fault for ordering the wrong one.

Pretty dang good but not perfect

I have two VCW82v3 in .9 cubic foot bass tubes ported to 28 hz, feeding each sub 300 watts from a SKAR RP800 amp. They move a lot of air so you need large port area or it will reduce output and port noise will be audible......at least a 4" diameter port or equivalent slot port. They hit hard on kick drums and play low. I played them first in my car trunk and was approaching 130 db. They will eventually live under seat in my boat which is why they are ported so low as boats don't have much cabin gain. My ear needs to hear the bass under 30 hz. VCW82v3s are tighter and more accurate sounding than my Skar SVR 8s, but surprisingly slightly less output (although still pretty dang loud) with my set-up. I likely need more power as Skar SVR8s seem to be more efficient. One thing I was disappointed with was consecutive hits. I didn't see the MMS parameter listed and I suspect the moving mass may be relatively high on VCW82v3 despite the carbon fiber enhanced cone. It would be nice if NVX would list the full TS parameters so I can model them properly in winISD. They hit hard on the first note and are noticeably less accurate and output after. So I wouldn't call these audiophile SQ subs, at least in my ported configuration. Probably more of a entry SPL sub. Overall, I'm happy with them at this price point and won't be looking to upgrade in the near future. Might even buy another to bring up the SPL in my boat.
