Works as a budget Epicenter.
I bought this to add some extra bass to my system. Firstly, if you already have good bass, then using a remote bass knob that came with your amp will probably be sufficient. I'm a bass-head and can never get enough bass. This does a great job of adding bass to music that isn't very bassy to begin with. When listening to bass heavy music, such as rap, I found that this actually lessened the amount of bass? Kinda funny because I thought I would have at least the same as before I installed it. . But, 70's and 80's music is benifitted greatly by this. The bass that is put out is a rumbly muddy unclear bass, but still sounds oddly good. My setup is a Rockford Power BD10001 amp for subs and powering 4 12" Rockford subs as well as a Rockford 600.4 powering a set of Rockford mids and tweets up front and a pair of Rockford 5 1/4" coaxials in the rear. I already had immense amounts of bass and gave this a try for a little more. And in conclusion, it really depends on what you listen to in order to get the most out of it. Rock and country really come to life, dance and rap lose out on bass. The thing I liked most was the high voltage outputs to the sub amp and being able to turn the gain way down.

Just bought another one!
I just purchased another one of these units for my truck, it is a must have. I was able to get this and the second one I just purchased for 70 bucks each, I can tell a big difference when this isn't plugged in!

ok product
This unit is for someone who has weak bass. If u already have good setup u can bypass this unit and just get a good crossover and a processor other than this one. Im running a custom subwoofer and hifonica amp this unit has an artificial sound but produces a drastic increase of bass. With the remote is how to get performance out of the unit. If u are looking for real low bass u will be disappointed. My sub is tuned to 30hz so the 35hz subsonic filter will kill u

Gives an added kick.
Works just like the epicenter and some others. i like it and it gives me additional low frequency for added thump. I have it with a fosgate punch 1000watts monoblock.

XBBR
This was a very nice unit like all other NVX products. If you listen to music with no bass or very little bass it is a must have but i listen to rap and a lot of bass-heavy music and it ended up REDUCING bass!! it is intended for music with little or no bass, not for music with a lot of bass, and in turn will reduce your overall thump! If your music is not bass heavy you must get it. It is great for the price!

I got it with my fosgate amp and it helps for songs without a ton of bass. my system is pretty simple setup with 2 12 and a sealed box and i like the extra lows i get with it.

Works well.
I purchased this to use as a subsonic filter.
It does work well for that if your amplifier doesn't have a built in subsonic filter.
I have a Kicker Zx750.1 driving a pair of Incriminator Audio I8D2's and the kicker amp only has a on/off subsonic at 25 hertz which is too low.
This caused unloading of the sub in the ported enclosure which is why I needed the XBBR'S subsonic filter.
