Solid fuse holder

Sturdy Product

I was very surprised at the Quality of this holder. It's not big and bulky like the others in this price range, and it's not ugly like the 'tube' one's. The screws and holder is definitely built well. I'll be using a few more of these in the future for sure.

It's very sturdy as all NVX wiring accessories & accepts two kinds of fuses.

Sturdy

A very sturdy fuse holder. Also very convenient that it accepts either ANL or MANL. I wouldn't think of using any other holder. I have 4 of these wired up in my vehicle.

Great Fuse Holder

NVX makes great audio stuff, This holder is no exception.
Really like that the cover also covers the mounting screws so its nice and clean when installed. The wire size adapters are stepped so they fit nicer into the holes, most other brands this piece is just loose and does not fit as good.

this fuse holder is great looking and its heavy duty. the anl fuse fits perfectly on it and it tightens up well that it doesn't come lose because of the bass. my 1/0 gauge wire fits perfectly in this fuse holder and im very happy with this product.

NVX 4GA.

NVX is a fairly new company, and so far what I've seen they make quality products at a fair price. I bought the NVX 4GA. to do a second run of 4 gauge, the size of the NVX was slightly larger than average 4GA and more flexible. and the the strands were larger and denser. I'm running 1000 watts rms and have no heating or shorting issues at 16 feet.

good thick wire

If it wasn't for this 5 foot piece of wire I never would if been able to hook up my amps and power cap. I got a belva 4 gage amp kit and compared to this nvx wire, well there is no comparison. Nvx 4 gage weighs twice as much and very thick strong wire. True 4 gage.., very good stuff but expensive

Best wire I have bought

I got this because it looked good and it was every thing that was in the pic. This is some good stuff that NVX has made super flex able and easy to cut. I would recommend this wire to people. This is true gauge wire not like some other stuff out there. The only cons were I could not find one that's how good this wire is. I hope that this will help you on getting this wire.

While some people may not install a fuse between the battery and the alternator in their Big 3 upgrade, do yourself a favor and don’t be them. The chance of the wire shorting out against something and causing significant damage or fire may be slim, but it’s best to be safe and avoid any potential issues. High-Quality, excellent price!

Bought these because I needed to upgrade from mini-ANL/AFS to ANL to suit my amperage needs. They are super nice because they accept BOTH ANL and mini-ANL/AFS fuses, so you can have different ratings on both but keep a nice uniform look to your installation. Running one as a Big-Three upgrade with my new 220 Amp alternator plus a second to run my FIVE amplifiers (3 4-channels and 2 mono’s). I was a bit apprehensive at first because they are BRASS with nickel plating and I was expecting copper but it looks like EVERYONE uses that. I’m pulling up to 240 Amps through the amplifier wire so I can’t afford ANY voltage drop or resistance in the fuse block! Hopefully since it’s a nice chunk of brass that it doesn’t have any resistance at high current loads.

Bought for Big 3 upgrade

I am going to use my installation 4 AWG wire left over to do the Big 3 upgrade on my work truck. I bought this fuse holder to go with it. I am only running like a max of 700-800 watts for the 4 AWG will be fine and an upgrade. The fuse is just an extra, probably not needed but better to be safe than sorry. I have 130 amp alternator so I got 150 amp fuses to go with it.

Excellent Fuse Holder

I have gone through several fuse holders in numerous different installs, and the products by NVX always exceed my expectations. This fuse holder is built from quality materials and is not flimsy at all. The cover does not become brittle in colder weather (about 10 degrees F) which is normally a problem with others. It is also impervious to gas and oil which makes it a great fit under the hood and next to the battery. While the white label paint on the top disappears easily with chemicals, it does not seem to affect the plastic. The Allen set screws for the cables and well tapped and are very hard to over tighten or strip; the same also applies to the screws for the fuse itself. I would highly recommend this and other NVX products. They have yet to let me down!

fat little fuse bodies

The plastic housing that encases the fuse element is a bit bulky. If you require a sleeker fuse body wetsounds , Tspec, and knu koncepts have a decent selection, but they are easily twice the price as these, and not always available from Sonic.
Aside from their form these fuses are a decent value, and good quality.

I'm currently switching my entire system over to NVX. I've purchased all the wiring, subs, box, and sound deadener and have yet to be unimpressed. Do yourself a favor.....just buy NVX and quit wasting your time and money. I've run kicker for years and MTX (the old stuff when you could easily put double the rms to a sub) and in MY OPINION, NVX comes out on top.

With The Best of 'Em

I've been a car audio nerd/enthusiast for literally half my life; I'm 30. I am not nearly as involved in the hobby as I used to be, but I have seen plenty of things over the last 15 years...and there has been no shortage of variations of power wire.

That being said, this NVX wire hangs with the 'Big Boys' or 'The Best of 'Em' at a very reasonable, or the best, price. It is true to it's AWG and is just as flexible as the Kicker wire; which became my standard for comparison years ago.

The picture for the item listing doesn't do justice to how the wire is wound/bundled. It is a honeycomb, 6 outer bundles with one in the center. Since the wires are nicely wound together it takes much less effort to get a tight twist to easily insert into a raw wire input. I'm assuming this contributes to the flexibility of the wire as well as minimizing fraying when you cut it; which is a plus. While on the topic of cutting wire, you NEED to pickup those XScorpion wire cutters...They're nothing short of amazing...Even cutting 0GA effortlessly!

The shielding is wrapped/applied to the wire very tightly, yet is still forgiving enough to cut it and easily (enough) slide off the end to attach a ring terminal or slide into a raw wire input.

Wire accepts solder very well even without applying any additional flux.

If you are curious as I was regarding the silver-tinning of the wire I have some interesting and good news for you. A google search leads to minimal useful/helpful information with people leading you in both directions as to the usefulness/purpose of silver-tinned copper. Well, a friend of mine does construction for a living and had some short lengths of industrial grade 2GA wire in his garage. I was looking at it the other night and to my surprise found it was silver-tinned as well. This tells me it must provide some benefits(At the very least I presume it is for corrosion resistance) if that's what they're laying in the ground and running through buildings to provide them with power. Take this as you will, but I believe it's a good sign.

All in all, you shouldn't hesitate to buy this wire. And most importantly don't be fooled by cheaper wire that has thicker shielding or is copper coated aluminum!

Bang for your buck

Loved using NVX wire in my build. Just a note it is silver tinned copper wire and not pure silver/copper. Cable is very flexible and the insulation is very durable. True spec wire, no shortage of strands here. Make sure you order more than you need and you will have no issues.

I like the cable design

Great Battery

I have this battery in a stand up jet ski. It gets bounced, rolled, and abused. I got for being a dry cell and cca. Works great every time.

I was torn between getting this and the Shuriken and Stinger, but I ended up getting this because of the specs and the weight that pretty much lines up with the specs. This one had 22Ah (amp hours) so I figured it would perform very good and it has. This is a great product. I was having heavy headlight dimming at volume level 20 and now I can go close to 40 with no issues. I'm sure I can go 40+ with no issues. Before I installed this battery my amp went into protective mode about 4 times, and now I have yet to encounter that issue even though I listen to music at higher volume levels. Yes, I would recomend this product.

more than i paid for

The battery absolutely stopped the stress on my alternator. My lights stopped dimming on heavy bass notes. While in an emergency situation I took a chance to try and jump start my 93 Bronco with it. The truck fired right up. Just to take it to a further extreme, I also removed my dead truck battery and ran my truck on the NVX for a week during the winter months. Still easily starting my truck and running my stereo system.

No more flashing light show.

Really helped me with my dimming lights that were annoying as hell. Worked like a charm and the best $80 I spent on my car audio system.

I've been using this battery as my main battery in my '97 accord for about 8 months now. I have yet to have any issues with it. I've left my lights on and drained the battery dead and still holds a charge fine. It gets a little sluggish in the extreme cold here in NY (-20 degrees) but it's started my car every time. I've used it to jump start cars, it's a beasty little battery. No complaints, I highly recommend!! Small and lightweight and the price make it a great replacement battery or secondary.
