fitment issues with budget audio brands
This little heat shrink and ferrule kit is convenient, looks great, and performs well.
I have noticed in reviews across this site and others, that people have had issues using ferrules with budget amplifiers, and speaker/subs. The issue revolves around manufacturers, that for one reason or another, don't comply or adhere to the AWG standards and fit their products with smaller, NON-AWG standard, power terminals.
I can vouch for this fitment issues first hand as well.
The terminals on a current 12" Belva BMS12RW (12" dual 4 ohm 250 rms 1kw peak) will not accept these 8g ferrules.
while an old 2007ish era 10" Infinity reference 1030w( 4ohm 300rms 1kw peak) will readily accept these 8g ferrules.( Comparing like power specd subs)
Just something to keep in mind when you're considering using ferrules to tidy up an install. and boy howdy do they look tidy. Woooweee. Love these things!
