Good solid product
It is not easy to find good quality heavy guage(10~8 awg) speaker wire. You will not find products like this one at your local Best Buy. With 8awg silver tinned copper as the conductor, I don't think there's anything better out there for the price. At the time of this review, I was able to purchase 20ft of this cable for $50 on ebay. At that price point, if needed, I would make this purchase again in a heart-beat. If you are interested in this product, buy without hesitation. And, to the manufacturer: please do everything in your power to keep supplying us with this quality product for the same price!

This is very definitely not cheap wire. Flexible, no corrosion so far, great power delivery and looks good with a premium feel. Not much else to say about speaker cable.

By far the best speaker wire I have ever used. I'm running it fome my kicker 300.1 ( just a filler until I get kx 1600.1) to my dule kicker comp r 12" and those things ate now hitting so much harder, its like the wire game me like 50rms watts more! If you want a high quality high flex cable this is the one.

This wire is so big, unfortunately I had to cut a few strands out to fit into my speaker terminals on my DC xl. I suppose it's not bad to have to much rather than not enough when it comes to wire size. I've always been impressed with NVX and their products. This is no exception.

I was hesitant to spend $50 on mere speaker wire, even if it was 8 Gauge. I will say that after installing it I am extremely satisfied with it. It is a great quality wire, very flexible, and easy to work with. Now I can rest assured that my Subs are getting every milli-watt my amplifier throws to them.

awesome product only thing I don't like is the fact that one side of the wire is square so doesn't make it easy to work with overall great product

I build 3 or 4 sets of speaker cables a year for my home stereo system in search of better sound. This wire rivals my best wire from many years ago.
This wire has a very transparent sound, lots of "air" It reproduces bass very cleanly and, not too much or too little. It accurately lets me hear the sound of my 1970's Mullard tubes on strings and horns. A very well balanced cable that punches way above its weight class. Highly recommended !

While they are on the bigger side for speaker wire, it allow the full current to flow without interruptions or generating heat.

Quality is the first thing that comes to mind when holding the wire in hand. the jacket is durable yet flexible. not super stiff like more plasticized jacketed wires are. when trying to stuff these into a ferrule decided to compare total conductive dia to an old tsunami 4g Amp Power wire, and they are pretty dang close. Way to go NVX! your 8g wire for speakers has nearly the same conductive diameter as Tsunami 4g power wire. UNGH!
Great value, fantastic performance. upgraded from some over spec 10g cause my terminals weren't stuffed to maximum capacity. LOL.
bottom line is this speaker cable aint no slouch. nice thick wire to carry a fat load of power to your hungry woofers.
The spring terminals on my Belva 4 Ohm DVC 12" couldn't accept the wire 8g ferrules. resorted to stuffing the naked wire in the terminals. we all know how frazzled wire can get when trying to insert into something just a smidgen bigger in diameter.
Its not the wires fault that the terminals are too flipping tight.
Thanks Sonic for carrying this NVX Chunk deluxe, aint no skimping on the chocolate chips, gauge speaker wire.

I chose NVX for all my wiring needs; from the silver tinned OFC for power, ground, and speaker wires, to the RCAs. After my research, these were the wires to get; and the pricing here is great.

8 AWG speaker wire. WOW! This stuff is impressive. I don't currently have a system that would need such wiring for a Subwoofer but in the future, I might and I wanted to snag some of this good wiring before they might not sell it anymore. All my other wiring throughout a few cars is now NVX and I am 100% satisfied. Highly Recommended!

I can NEVER find this stuff in stock anymore! So, a lot of people ask me why I need such large speaker wire to my subs. Two words: damping factor. Damping factor is the amplifier’s ability to send the current generated by a subwoofer when it continues to move after the signal stops back into the voice coil to STOP the cone. Just like a shock absorber on your car. It has nothing to do with current flow or heat. It has to do with linear resistance and the fact that damping factor for the subs can be thrown off by mere thousandths of an ohm in linear resistance of the speaker wire. Most people really wouldn’t notice a difference because of the music they like. Rap/Hip Hop/R&B will never see a difference. It also depends on the amplifier as well. Most amplifiers don’t have a very high damping factor. I run Alpine PDX amps which have a 4-ohm damping factor of >1500 at 4 ohms, >750 at 2 ohms. For rock/metal like I listen to, this makes all the difference in the world with the bass drums. Sealed box, stiff subs, and damping factor. You want the speaker wire as large as practical and as short as possible. For instance, 12AWG CTA-2015 wire has a linear resistance of 0.00559 ohms per meter. For simplicity, let’s use an amplifier with a DF of 1,000 at 4 ohms. This means the output impedance is 0.004 ohms. So, it’s 500 at 2 ohms. The linear resistance is ROUND TRIP. So 1M would be 1/2M long from the amp all the way to the sub, both inside and outside the box. Now, say you have 1M of 12AWG on an amplifier with an output impedance of 0.004 ohms. Add the linear resistance of the wire and now it’s 0.00959. On a 2-ohm sub, that’s now 208 (2/0.00959) You’ve effectively cut it by 60%. Now for 1M of 8AWG. Linear resistance is 0.00221. Total would be 0.00621. Damping factor is now 322. The “ideal” is around 311. The problem with going any larger than 8AWG is that it starts to create inductance and also most amplifiers and subs can’t accept anything larger than 8AWG. You could use those output adapters that reduce a larger wire into a terminal, but each interface/connection will add resistance. Remember, we’re talking thousandths of an ohm here. So, the largest practical gauge with the shortest length and the fewest possible connections will maximize the damping factor. Now, if ohave an amplifier with a low DF, this isn’t going to make any difference at all. Most Rockford Fosgate amplifiers only have a 4-ohm DF of 100, 50 at 2 ohms. Use 12AWG at that point. It doesn’t matter. If you listen to music with long drawn out bass notes, it really doesn’t matter either. This only applies to music with sharp bass and amplifiers with high Damping Factor. But for those of you like me who want those double bass kicks to sound like a jackhammer rather than a messy tone with the pulses run together, this is the way to go. You should also run your sub’s speaker wires through a small hole in the box with them attached to the sub already, install the sub in the box, and pull the wires until taught. Then install the amp as close to that as possible. Have the hole on the side of the box closest to the sub’s terminals. A connection like binding posts or a terminal block will add resistance. If you can get the run to be 1/4M long, which is about 9-27/32”, you’ll be even better. Then your total DF will be 392. So, there’s the reason for running such large speaker wire to a subwoofer.
SonicElectronix, stock more of this stuff PLEASE!

The speaker wire is awesome. I’ve used the nvx 12 gauge wire before but need a larger size for better current flow. This solved those issues have this wired on 2 dc audio level 3 15’s and fit like a charm. Would highly recommend it.
