awesome sub hands down

ive had one for about 6 months now.
hits the lows better than any sub ive heard without a doubt.
im powering mine with a kole audio kx4000 wired down to 1 ohm so its pushing a solid 2200 watts to the sub. never over heated it. never blown a fuse. not 1 problem.
i think this speaker is no doubt worth every penny.

i just installed this... and i drive a 2004 quaud cab dodge ram 1500....we did a set up where we removed the center console and built a box custom fit so nothing took up a seat in the truck...anyone that knows about bass know u need a lot of air spaace...not so much in my truck.... 1 12.2 orion hcca and the orion hcca d5000 amp exceeds 100 dbs..... shakes s*** inside stores.... if u drive a truck spend the dough and get one cuz its cheap and worth it....push this to its limits...max pwoer it at all times...if it blows recone it for less than a hundred bucks... if u have any kind of suv ur stupid not to but this subs...go with the package cuz this sub in a big vehicle will flex glass and destort music big time... music will huant u and make ur life hell if u buy any other subs than the hcca's....listen to me!!!!!!!!!!!1

Awesome Sub

this sub pounds!! my brother has two 12's in his blazer, if you want to keep your hearing ability, this sub isnt for you ... it looks sound and pound this is a great buy, especially from sonic they have the best prices around!

Orion 12.2

I got this sub installed a couple days ago and man it hits soooo hard. I only have it hooked up to Hifonics bxi1208D amp but it still thumps. I recommend it to any one. The only down side is you have to buy a custom box but that's not to bad considering how great the sub is its definitely worth it and it looks cool.

The BEST.

These subs are the last subs you need to buy. Durable, recone kits if you do happen to burn it ($100 to recone a $600 sub = value) which I don't see happening unless it's a malfunction or error in the install. I've got 2 in a sealed box built to factory specs. At this point I regret going sealed because I could get much higher SPL, but regardless they hit clean and hard.
Plan on major upgrades to your electrical system though. These subs are no joke.

GREAT SUB!!!

I just got this sub installed today, paired to the Orion D5000. Let me tell you - this sub POUNDS!! The 4" excursion makes for incredibly strong bass. (check out videos on youtube of this thing in action). This sub is SOO loud I couldn't ask for more for this price.

Somewhat surprisingly, the SQ of this sub is really good as well. Either as a big bass note in a rap song or just a bassline in a rock song, this sub sounds great. It's well worth the price, if you want to get noticed.

I have to say this is the best sub on the market and sonic have the best price.I have this monster hooked up to an Mtx 1501d 3000 watt monoamp and it hits like thunder .T he best thing about it is that it have cooloing system and the cone is replaceable it's a life time product. If you want real music ,this is the sub but make sure you have a powerful amp.

Just got one put in my car about 2 weeks ago. I have it hooked up with the d5000 orion amp. After hearing this I am hooked on orion. Man if you want bass you got it with this sub. All you need is one and it will blow your mind. Its hard to even listen to a full song with a lot of bass. Easily the best buy on this site. You want bass you got it with this!!

Top notch subs. wouldnt go with anything else. kicker. alpine, JL, mephis and rockford couldnt compete with this sub if they wanted to.

I PUT 2 OF THESE WITH A D5000 TO EACH WOOFER IN A 9 CU FT BOX IN MY CHEVY TRAIL BLAZER AND THESE BABYS ARE LOUD!!! I HIT 160.7 DB'S IN THE FIRST ROUND OF THE FINALS AT MY FIRST SPL COMP!!! IF U WANNA SET CAR ALARMS OFF FROM A HALF BLOCK AWAY AND SHAKE GAS STATIONS WHEN U PULL UP GO WITH THESE!!! U WONT REGRET IT!

HCCA 12.2 lives up to the Orion name

This sub is a beast. I had this sub in a prefabed box that had a 1" baffle, this sub tore that box apart. I have to get a different box, a better box. The gain on the amp was set to 2 volts, the pre amp outs are 4 volts, so the amp gain was set low and the sub was not getting the full power of the amp (which is 3200 watts rms). Just a plain mean and brutal sub.

This is truly the best subwoofer in my opinion. I got 1 of these in my chevy tracker on a hifonics BXi 2610d at 1 ohm and it is so much bass coming out of this woofer its ridiculous. When i go to people houses they tell me i shake pictures on their wall twenty feet away. The boys in my neighborhood recently throw a bass competition contest and it was people their with 2 15's and 4 12's and i blew everyone out the frame with 1 12'. Im working on getting me a second woofer and amp now. Cant wait!

WOW!!! This sub is so awesome, i have one in a custom box running on the power acoustik PS1 5500D at 3200 watts rms and I've had it for a week now so I haven't even broken it in yet and it pounds so good. I am so glad i bought this sub just wish i could have got a few more. Awesome price too! BUY THIS NOW you will not be let down.

these subs are way underrated. i bought two of these and put them in my jeep grand cherokee. man do they pound. i got them hooked up to memphis mcd1500. GODLY is all i have to say. it makes my roof flex about a foot.

This is not only the heaviest sub I have ever had but it is the best great response on the low end of the hz. I have it in a custom box designed by Pete at pwkdesigns and it is being pushed by a Hifonics Bxi 2610d at 1 ohm 2600 watts rms and it is very very loud to say the least.
The only drawbacks for me was the weight obviously and the fact that you can't just go buy a box for this it has to be custom other than that its the loudest and best looking sub I have ever owned.

Good Deal

The sub I got hits really hard and on deeper bass which is what I like better. The only downfall is it weighs 75 lbs. But I got it for under 400 so it was worth it.

have 2 in my 05 G-35 no problems yet. LOUD, very loud i recommend just 1 if you are interested in cranking your radio occasionally and once again refer to www.orioncaraudio.com for connection diagrams if you connect the dvc's to your amp spec.(1ohm, 2ohm, 4ohm capabilities) then you will be very happy

i own a hcca , bought one used months ago altho lookd fine n sounded great! did develop small unscene cracks in magnet forcing of loss in magnetism, this is due to the fact its a hard hitting great sounding sub but like a rare sports car, u would'nt buy a used lambo reventon for 10k less then a new one... spend the money get new!!!!! i did n do not regret it at all!!!! i bought a brand new one at a retail store paid more then this...but havent had ne problems since i purchased a new one...maybe the used one i bought maybe just had ruff use from the kid i got it from

This is the best sub on the market I actually researched different drivers for about 3 years before deciding on these beasts(due to not having a license). This sub is amazing I had two and got rid of one and now i have it powered by the kole audio phanatik 5500 watt amp in a 5.0 cubic foot box tuned to 32 hz and the lows are amazing I might need to replace my window seals soon.

if u dont know bout orion do some research they been in tha car audio game for along time this sub though is amazing tha kinda sub that will blur ur vision an make some people nose bleed 2 of these busted out my front window with each on a orion hcca D5000 amp which match them well each amp was bout half way up to break tha speakers in but when I turn tha radio all tha way up it was enough to blow out my window with one good bass line these subs dont play an for tha price every one can afford 1 so buy these u'll see
