Cheaply built, not recommended
First, this product scratches my DVD's. I purchased in March of 2010, so perhaps the newer versions have fixed this. It will create rings of scratches due to a design flaw in the ribbon cable that's attached to the DVD laser. Many DVD's have become unusable because of this.
It also has become very picky about DVD's over time, and will not play many anymore.
I bought another player and started using this as a slave monitor, and the quality when doing this is terrible. (Washed out, gray, lines going through the picture.) Not recommended!!
