Great Head Unit

I have this unit in my 2005 Charger. Fast, easy menus, and expandable. Plays DVDs very well, and also easy to navigate iPods.
Smart buy.

CODE SECURITY.....

The following review is for a previous version (CQ-VD6505U).

ANY TIME YOUR BATTERY DIES, YOU HAVE TO FIND A SECURITY CODE.... IF YOU BOUGHT YOUR CAR PRIVATELY (LIKE I DID) YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MANUAL FOR IT. MY BATTERY DIED LAST NIGHT AND NOW I CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO TURN IT BACK ON. PANASONIC WANTS ME TO TAKE THE H/U/ OUT AND SEND IT IN.... AND PAY $80.... I DO NOT WANT TO CONSIDERING IN A TRAILBLAZER, YOU HAVE TO TAKE OUT LIKE HALF THE DASH. IM PRETTY FRUSTRATED BY NOW. IF ANYONE HAS ANY SUGGESTION.... PLEASE SHARE WITH ME. PLEASE,,,,

Love it

The following review is for a previous version (CQ-VD6505U).

Since I've had this dvd player installed, the sound quality of my stereo has doubled. I love the touch screen option and haven't heard anything but compliments since I got it. For the price, I would recommend this product to looking for great quality without a huge price tag.

Simply Amazing

The following review is for a previous version (CQ-VD6503U).

I bought this product about 2 weeks ago and i simply can not get enough of it. I love all the features and the ability to play dvd video disc with over 30 videos on one dvd. It is definately the main attraction to my IS300. The only downfalls are I cant play dvd mp3's and there arent any background pictures, but thats just nitpicky stuff...definately 5 stars and the price is within most peoples price range so you really cant lose.

Awesome Looks, Good Sound, Great Price.

The following review is for a previous version (CQ-VD6505U).

The display on this unit is excellent and assortment of accessories Panasonic offers (relatively inexpensive IPod input/controller, Bluetooth adaptar, XM and Sirius compatability) make this deck extremely versatile. Two sets of AV inputs and 5.1 surround sound are icing on the cake. If you need more pre-amp outputs, you're doing something wrong. The sound output is good and the on-board graphic equalizer make customizing your sound easy.

I do have a few issues with this deck, however. Panasonic keeps stating (customer service and owner's manual) that they will release an add-on GPS unit for this and the other DVD players. I have yet to see any dates for a release and with a few of the new models coming out with their own GPS, I doubt we'll see this actually come out. The display for simply playing CDs or you IPod leaves something to be desired. When standard models have OEL displays, it would be nice to be able to download something to watch while the music is on.

Overall, a great buy.

This thing is great

The following review is for a previous version (CQ-VD6503U).

I love this in-dash dvd player. I like the whole touch screen option and all the extra stuff you can hook-up to it. I wired in 2 sunvisor monitors(now I have 3 tv screens in my car) and a ps2 slim. the only other thig I want to get is a tv tuner. The price is way lower then most other models I've seen and the way you can adjust each speaker in you car(ex. phase some speakers/delay sound) for a true surround sound experience. The only draw-back for me is that there is know way to keep it truly secure in a car(no detach face), but if it gets disconnected form the battery in any way, it makes you put in a security code to make it work again. So in a slight way, you still get the last laugh if it gets stolen, cause the theif has to figure out the code.
