This is the best bluetooth alternative for the BMW E46. I'm on my 3rd E46 and this is the 3rd unit I've bought. The price has gone up over the years.

A must for BMW E46
Bluetooth without steering wheel controls is pointless. This setup enables the use of Siri from the steering wheel to both lookup and dial.

Quality part that works as described installed in 2001 E46 convertible
The cable is great. I see no way a non expert could ever install a Parrot device without it. One thing to be aware is the bulk of the cable. In this particular vehicle there is not much room behind the radio. The connection is simple, making room and routing the wires is not.
I would have given 5 stars overall if there was more of a slim design.
