It work like it should so far
We have a Sony portable DVD player that's going on 5 years now and the car charging cord got damaged. Instead of replacing the charger and then having the dvd player die on us we picked up this instead. We wanted a DVD player that saves your spot as it prevents the headache of having to find where you were before the car was turned off. The memory function is good for those gas/potty breaks on a long car trip. The battery life isn't as good as the Sony, but it easily lasts one movie and with a car charger it really isn't an issue for what we use it for. Its also cheaper than the Sony. The kids haven't really tried the games much. I did notice that the game controller is very picky about where it is pointed. It must be pointed direct at the IR sensor on the DVD player which might be frustrating to small children who don't understand why. Also note that it comes with a strap to hold it onto a seat. It looks like a good design but we haven't used it as we already have a DVD player holder.
