Excellent Sound

These headphones were pretty comfortable, but started to hurt the tops of my ears after 1h 30 min of music. The sound is great for the price; 320 kbps music sounded good. The headband is made of metal, with decent padding. Sound isolation is very good.

good

The following review is for a previous version (SHL5605GY/10).

The highs and mids are definitely present, bass is lacking somewhat. It took several hours of listening time to "break them in" which makes the bass sound more prominent. Even though they are "broken in" they are not bassy so if you are looking for bass, don't get these. These are good for rock or other instrumental type music. The mic is clear, i use it for calls all of the time. The chord is tangle-free but does not detach. The headphone does not fold but they are slim nonetheless. I bought them for $25: a steal. Though I wouldn't spend any more on them than that much.
There is a steel or some kind of metal band covered by a removable and washable cloth that is very soft and comfortable. The cans are a little snug but not in an uncomfortable way. The earcups are very plush. Overall they are pretty comfortable

Great headphones

The following review is for a previous version (SHL5605GY/10).

I personally owned a pair of Citiscape earbuds, so I trusted the Phillips Citiscape line.I gave these to my 13 year old niece in California. Since I don't own these, I will share her thoughts. I didn't want to get her something trendy looking, as she doesn't like that look. I wanted to get her something with a more classy looking for lack of a better term. These suit the bill. The Citiscape Downtown's were also available in purple, but I thought the grey would be more neutral and less of a loud color. She said the sound is very good. She is not much of an audiophile so I can't get much feedback from her, but whenever I call her she tells me she loves the headphones.
